for the first time in years, katsu was happy, a new life with someone he can trust. meybe find a way to turn him back into a real fox? who knows. "lets go then..."
and so they set off across the desert with no worries, nothing.
two days later they reached the base of the mountain, so much happened at this very spot... yuki's anonymous death, the killing of so many foxes, the deaths of his friends... "well, we better keep moving."

hiking up the mountain, katsu felt an odd presence. katsu looked around, pausing for a moment, katsu noticed a dark flash of movement behind them. "somethongs following us, keep on guard..."
katsu instinctively leaped out of the way as a black furred panther hit the ground just in front of them, clearly looking for a fight.
katsu glared at the panther, aware that it would attack at any moment. moving in, katsu tackled the panther, ruthlessly beating it with his fists, recovering from shock that a human is actualy attacking HIM. the panther bit katsus already wounded shoulder.

katsu stared at mazu, "uh, thanks, it seems those berries did a lot more than we assumed at first!" getting us, katsu walked onwards, "come, we need to find shelter quickly, a storm is coming." katsu looked around from a viewpoint. "their is a cave up ahead we can go to." katsu and mazu got there in good time, good enough to go hunting. after about an hour the rain started to fall. "mazu, lets take our kills and head in!" just then katsu heard a scream, katsu turned around in the direction of the sceam. "lets check it out." katsu went to where the scream came from and saw two humans fighting eachother with a spear and sword, but they werent ordinary, these humans were something else, katsu decited they should wait until they are done fighting.
by the time they were done they were both almost dead. one killed the other with a swift stab to the chest, then about a minute later he collapsed from blood loss and died. katsu walked up to the two bodies, inspecting them, at last, katsu decited there wasnt any point in not collecting their things for protection. picking up a longsword, katsu inspected it, the inscription read "guided by fate". katsu strapped the shieth to his belt and put the sword in it, taking the shield, it was ordinary, katsu strapped it to his back, taking a spear, katsu put this on his back, too, after puting on a ringmail armor katsu finaly picked up one of their food packs and headed back to the cave with mazu.

"i wouldnt know, but hey, i have weapons and armor now, so i suppose i can fight."

following her, after about a minute katsu stood rock still, gazing at some skeletons of foxes.

katsu broke into tears, "this used to be half of the clan... half of my life..."

katsu pondered a moment, taking out a pouch, katsu grabbed a handful of the berries from it and absorbed energy into them, katsu held them out to mazu. "go ahead, if you are willing to take the risk..." katsu used his other hand to do the same to more berries and plopped them into his mouth.
