"I'll be in the other room if needed," the older-looking ranger replied, picking his weather-worn hat back up as he watched Micheal in quiet interest. With much on his mind, Volpone turned back toward the door and made to exit from the vampires' quarters.

"Convenient it is, Lord Hanuvh," Jay said in agreement as the gentlemen turned his attention elsewhere.
As she looked over the sitting youth, contemplating what brought each of them here to create such a following, Otiian's words rose over her thoughts.
"Anything near the west gate inn by the name of Sevensterre?" she answered, turning her attention to the merchant. "As one who travels, you would know of a location around there that would be suitable for private parties to converse, no?"

A charming smile came to his face. "But of course. Privacy is a priceless commodity in places like these. Sevensterre?" He made sure he heard the inn name correctly. He pondered for a moment and then nodded. "Yes I know the perfect place. There is a little place known as Owltree Tavern. They have private rooms you can reserve there and the owner is a member of our little group here so he would be more then happy to provide us with some of his food and drink I would think. I shall call upon him tonight. What time would you like to meet? Tomorrow evening sometime?"

"The early eve of tomorrow would be most welcome, Sir..." the ranger stalled, not having a name to the face before her. "Then we can converse at our leisure without keeping us too late into the night."

"Oh how rude of me. My name is Muyer. Master Muyer that is. I run a textile and spice business between this and two other cities. Charmed to meet you." Otiian said as he stood and gave her a half bow. "It sounds like we have everything planned then. Tomorrow as the sun touches the horizon we shall meet at the Owltree then."

"'Til then, Sir Muyer," the traveler stated as she respectfully bowed back. "May you have a pleasant rest of the night as I should be off. And if you would, pass along my thankful regards to Lord Hanuvh for his hospitality tonight if he has a moment away from his work. Good evening again to you, Sir Muyer."
When Galanmion had finished, she turned back toward the way she'd entered, traversed down the grand staircase. Making her way toward the door where she would find the night, Lord Hanuvh's last few lines raised the alarm in her mind, suspicion crowding the back of her thoughts before she stepped out onto the street after a wary glance.

Lord Hanuvh remained quiet for a moment after the ranger left. He went over some details - minor things now - as to how the intended victim would be found. Swan feathers. Very prominent. It seemed like everything had come together, that all these years hadn't been wasted.
Certainly, it had been profitable. His small band of followers needed only a bit of encouragement and a few rituals here and there. He held the books. He knew the lore. He could live comfortably, bringing the small knot of kids into his fold and ensuring the next generation of the cult would be prosperous... and loyal.
But an actual individual, blessed by the Swan? That changed everything. Forget living out his days in comfort - he could be immortal.
"Keep an eye on the ranger," he instructed the adolescents, "She is dangerous, I have no doubt. Find out who she is, what her real name is and where she comes from, and what she knows about this servant of the Swan. Do not be seen."
They nodded. They were good at that. It's why he had picked them. They went, the meeting over, and he stayed there for some time later, mulling things over and looking at the illustration of one of his books.
A human, holding up a heart, freshly torn from the broken body at his feet, to a great swan, black as night and its wings filling the entirety of the drawing.

Crossing the street, Jay pulled her hood up and made her way along the side in front of the buildings, being less secretive about her travels than how she arrived.
Isley's work got her in the door, but as the card teller had forewarned, getting in was the easy part.
"Crazy woman," she muttered under her breath as she glanced over the houses as she passed them by while heading west on foot. "Crazy cult."
'Micheal... how much of that did you catch?' she asked, tense as went from streetlamp to streetlamp. 'Hanuvh can't be another Revenant, could he? Isley would have said something. But the way he started acting once it was brought up... and then mentioning about doing away with a rival...'
By gale, what did the Swan want her to find these people for?

-Micheal shifted- 'Unfortunately I only caught the tail end. My loving brother still has issues with your friend. Couldn't focus much.' ' But.. by the looks as your random thoughts currently you might still need to explain a bit to me.' 'The man called Hanuvh seems to be too careful. He definitely has a goal, and forget Isley. You walk blindly by nothing but future tellings is only following the narrators plot of a story.' -He silence to let her think for a bit- "Why is it stuffy in here?"

-There was a brief wave to the ranger till Micheal said something.- -Roman looked at his friend oddly, curious as to what it was like to be in people's minds, could he really feel things, could he see things that people shouldn't, could he really kill someone in this state, or even the possibility of being killed himself, then what would happen to Dark how would it effect him.-

She shook her head at the minor disorientation that came with Micheal's voice and frowned. Not that she wanted it this way, but Isley was her only source on this 'weirdness' aside from these cults. And assuming she made it past the next few days, she was certain the woman wouldn't leave her alone now even if she married her to the Black Swan himself.
'No. Because I have no leads, I need Isley's... whatever it is more than ever now, Micheal,' she answered.
That or she might not need it at all if she didn't find someone to kill soon, but she hadn't told either vampire that.
'But as for the meeting, it was much shorter than expected. A handful of socialites, and over a handful of stripling adults from the streets. Caught their attention with Isley's information -and her gems- and have another meeting set for tomorrow eve.'
The ranger made quick turn past a street corner and continued on.
'Gave them the name of an inn, the Sevensterre, on the West side of town near the gate when they asked where I was staying. Heading in that direction now in case I'm being followed. One of the striplings mentioned that Lord Hanuvh was edgy with newcomers. This extra trek may make it longer for me to get back.'

-Micheal then lick his fang as he he thought for a moment.- "Just be careful with what that woman tells you." -He then eased the the feeling of being stuffy to the side though something still bothered him but he wasn't sure what at the moment.- "Could it be Isley is setting us up, after all she need to make a profit as well and what's nothing like a few rangers, Vampires, and the swan to gather more information or even stir the pot."
-He shifted- "Yes I caught that, Think they will bother watching you all night?"

'With Isley it's always about playing the cards right. I doubt anyone would know. Even the Swan...' she muttered in her head as she hurried her footsteps. She didn't want to be out on the open streets all night. If she could just spot a carriage...
'If there are any out there, I'm not planning on it being all night if I can help it.'

'...Alright, you sure you don't want me to be out there with you?' -Micheal lips pulled to a smirk.-
'After all, I am sure Roman could distract them long enough, dress him up as the stupid bird and have him fly high enough in the sky dropping black feathers around at night.' -There was a chuckle- 'then you would have to owe Roman something.'

'I'm fine for now. And he will do NO such thing or I might have a mind to shoot him down myself... or at least pretend to,' Jay harshly joked hurrying down the street. She didn't have a bow after all.
Not seeing an empty waiting carriage, she did the next best thing and hopped the back of a moving one just about to pass her heading down the city street.
