Nuumia's features flickered with the rapid flash of emotions wriggling around within him. His black yes lifted to haellara as she would take the time to assure him that the child she held within her was in truth his own. His lips turned upwards faintly at her assurances and he tried to keep from looking too eager. "I...of course Matron. I would never question who you say the father is." Even if the child was born with pink eyes...if Haellara deemed him the father then that would settle it all.
Adinas watched the verbal exchange going on between his mother and Nuumia. His own father maybe? He could not help but reach up and gently twist his fingers through his own black hair. When Haellara answered him..she almost seemed uncertain herself. His curious expression was born of wondering if maybe Haellara did not know herself all the details of child bearing. Maybe she would be learning just as he was concerning this topic? With a uneasy shuffling from foot to foot, he watched as Haellara spoke so...well..what was the word he was looking for? She was speaking seriously and with a sense of emotion it seemed. Trust? Did she trust Nuumia? Or was she just trying to make Nuumia think she trusted him? Adinas felt his gaze settling upon Nuumia with a deeper sense of consideration. If he were hiding right now he'd feel more comfortable staring at his possible father. Adinas shifted back another slow step from the other two.
Nuumia's black eyes blinked a few times at Haellara as she would step in to him and place her hand upon his shoulder. He peered up into her own eyes, his black lips pulled upwards into a thin smile while she spoke. Yes..he had indeed done all of that... "I am your Patron. It's my job to serve your best interests Matron. I would not be a very good Patron if I had done anything else. Just because you are well now does not mean I will not work just as hard to protect you." Nuumia's black eyes narrowed slightly and the orbs slid to look off towards the closed door. "No one will dare try to harm you. Now or then. I'll make certain it won't even be an idea to flicker through their minds." By the Goddess no! He'd be just as strong...just as sever and viscous as he had been. Even more so! Now that Haellara was herself he did not have to second guess himself and hold back in fear of going further then Haellara would approve of. Now...Now he could simply check with her..and the Goddess spare those pitiful fools that gave him a reason and opportunity to act!
"There is another matter I must discuss with you. But..." Nuumia glanced to where Adinas had last been standing and blinked. The boy had been very carefully inching back from the pair until he had placed some distance between them. Nuumia had never even noticed the boy shifting back..and he was damn well certain he had been watching him!

Was it really trust that she was expressing toward Nuumia? Haellara was still unsure if she would ever trust the male completely; she never forgot his past and what she had discovered about it. But he was the closest she had to someone she could completely trust, and who knows; now that she was of a sound mind again, she could renew her studies of finding out a way to ensure that the bestial side of Nuumia would never rear it;s head towards her. Although now she might very well have to look into a second dose; who knew what sort of past Adinas had been wiped clean of; he would doubtless need the same enforcement, if to put Nuumia's mind at ease.
She nodded and raised her eyebrows as her patron mentioned something else he needed to discuss, but before she could ask for clarification, she bore witness to Adinas' seemingly effortless movement out of their line of sight. She blinked along with Nuumia and once she spotted the boy, she couldn't help but smile. It was clear that Nuumia made him nervous, as it ought to be, but so long as he did not run away, all would be well. The look on Nuumia's face though! She knew he hated to have anything slip by him, and to lose sight of someone he was so nervous about must be a bruise to his ego indeed!
Seeking to take any punishing thoughts out of the atmosphere and to satisfy her own curiousity, she cleared her throat loudly to get Nuumia's attention. "You mentioned something you wished to discuss with me; perhaps we can continue it here and have an escort take our little friend here to his own room; he can clean out Mika's if he wants."

Nuumia's head nodded up and down at Haellaras words. Silently he gestured for Adinas to follow him, and he crossed to the door of the chambers. Adinas glanced one to Haellara, then slipped on such silent feet that when Nuumia turned, he blinked at the fact Adinas was right behind him. His features turned dark for a moment...but he did not berate the boy. Instead he opened the door and waved for a guard.
"You there...take this boy to Mikarils room." As Halleara had spoken of the place, Nuumia had no problem moving the boy into that room. Hopefully he'd be living in Haellaras room now after all. With a small wave of his hand Nuu pushed the balking Adinas out into the hall. He did not wait to meet the gaze of the wide eyed male. If he was going to be a skulking scared mouse, Nuu was not going to interfere in the obvious hassling the boy would receive from the guards.
With the door closed, he turned and looked at Haellara. Now that the irritation was gone...his features lost the angry tightness to them. Instead he took a deep breath and crossed over to Haellara. "Matron...what we need to discuss concerns Mikaril..."

Haellara had a few moments of brief amusement watching Adin being led off to Mika's chamber. Having a male in that room would prove to be amusing to her for many days to come, even though she was not half as inclined to have fun with this one. He still looked so small and vulnerable as the guards led him away; she made a mental note to announce to the guards that this one was to be off-limits to the usual roughhousing and teasing. Just enough rightly placed words that would compare him to Nuumia would be enough to keep them at bay.
Once she had seen Adin being led away, Haellara moved to sit down a little heavily upon the bed. She was already starting to feel sluggish and tired, or was it just her imagination? Well either way, she had had a rather trying morning. She turned her head to look at Nuumia, her eyes narrowing at the mention of Mikaril. "Him and Kyil....they escaped, I remember. How could it have happened? I saw his burned and broken body myself; saw how his skin crackled like the burned edges of a cut of rothe meat when I strapped him down for the final time.....and yet when he was running though the courtyard......him and Kyil.....ugh, what a nightmare." She reached up and put a hand delicately on her temple. I will have to figure out how Mika escaped the playroom so I can modify it against another escape....perhaps turn the knobs to razor sharp glass when I leave....." She blinked and turned to Nuumia. "But my speech wanders; what is it you wanted to tell me?"

Nuumia crossed over to where Haellara sat. However, he did not take liberties and sit beside her. Instead he knelt on the floor at her feet and gazed up at her. This position simply felt more...proper...and he was comfortable here. She seemed to have unknowingly laid out just what it was that Nuumia wished to address. Nuumia shifted a bit, and reached into the front of his belted up tunic. With a small amount of tugging, he pulled a thin leather bound book out and laid it on his knees.
"I know how." He replied. Normally he supposed to look down and appear utterly cowed...but Nuumia felt no shame at this moment. He looked up at Haellara and explained what he could.
"Kyil fetched him from your special room. The House was busy preparing for the sacrifice. I was in the temple, so no one knew what was happening until it was too late. I ...thought you were amusing yourself with Kyil...so I did not wish to interrupt you until you were sated." He shrugs his shoulders for a moment and fingers the book in his lap. "When I finally came to check on you, You were ensnared in the potions power. I took measures to ensure no one in the House would discover, and quickly went to your room. As I had expected, Kyil had gone there...but Mikaril was not. In fact...there..was nothing there..."
Slowly he lifted the book and held it up towards Haellara. "It looked like a very powerful fire spell had been released. The walls, floor, and ceiling are all cracked. From corner to corner. And there is a black scorch mark in the center that I can not scrub away. I cleaned out all of the ash and rubble...which I am sad to report was pretty much everything. I could not tell what was what. Glass and metal had melted together...wood was either burned away or well...not really recognizable as wood. I cleaned out the room and attempted to patch up the cracks. I went through all of your previous records of purchases and re-ordered what stock or special pieces I could find. I listed everything in that book that I had purchased. I...know I have overstepped my place, even as a Patron. I am ready to be punished for this."

Watching Nuumia kneel at her feet gave her a sense of pride, but also of unease. If he started his discussion out with such a humble gesture, it meant that the news he was about to give was one that he suspected she would be angry about. She eyed the book curiously as Nuumia pulled it out, but made no inquiry; she felt taht it would be better to let the male tell his bit of news and surely within that he would tell her what it was for. She wasn't sure what she was preparing for with this, but it wasn't what she ended up hearing. She had been nodding when he mentioned how he had found her succumbed to the potion and out of her mind for Kyil; she suspected as much now. But as he spoke of the playroom, and how he had found it, her eyes grew wide. She could feel her heartbeat quicken, and she reached a hand up to claw at her chest. She even fancied she could feel a slight twinge in her stomach, and who could blame her. Nuumia was talking about decades worth of work, potions older than her mother that had been lovingly mixed, all of her deviously improved tools and the various little animals she had worked so hard to bring into being that they may serve her in her play. But the thing she envisioned the most, and her stomach gave another twinge just picturing it, was a spot way in the back of the room, where her entire painstakingly grown crop of reviver mushrooms had grown, the little shriveled caps burning and crumpling to the floor like tiny children in the way of a wizard's fireball attack. Gone, all gone! "Who.....would dare.....?" Was all she had managed to gasp out. No one from her House would have dared to so much as drool on the floor of her playroom, and here someone had taken a fireball to it. She immediately thought of Kyil; she remembered how he could do magic. Had he somehow freed Mika from the rack and spirited him away to a safe place before burning her beloved playroom to ash and molten glass? Yes, that was it for certain; it explained everything. They hid somewhere safe in the House until the search had died down, and then they had made their escape. Lolth damn their ever-broken bones!
She came out of her rapidly building state of rage long enough to focus on the book. Nuumia had gone out and replaced her things.....all of the things he was able to find. She was not about to tell him that the records he had found were mostly her mother's; she herself had never been as studious about keeping records as her mother had been. But that meant that the older components would still be there. And she would have blueprints of the tools she had crafted to make better. Really the only thing that concerned her was her crop of revivers; they had been so hard to obtain, and she doubted she could find them a second time. But perhaps.....he had obviously proven to her how eager he was to help, even if it meant a possible lashing, or worse.
Looking down upon Nuumia, she fixed him with her most regal stare. "You went through my records without my permission and used some of the House treasure to fix up a room that was not yours. For this you ought to most certainly be punished. However," she let herself pause, "I was not in a state to give permission to do either. And seeing as the place is my favorite place in the entire House......I would imagine that a most fitting punishment would be for you to see your act of brashness to the end. Sometime soon, tomorrow perhaps, we shall both return to the playroom and inspect it. I shall note the things yet to get, and you will get them for me, thus will the playroom be restored. And because I damn well feel like it, tonight you shall be forced to be the most pleasurable male in all of Undrek'Thoz. Apparently our time doing such is to be numbered."

His black eyes remained fixed on Haellara as she took in his information. He expected...more he supposed. Some sort of venting of anger at the very least, and he was prepared for it. As scary as it was, he was eager for it. He wanted to support his matron. He wanted to be everything she needed, from the good to the bad. His black eyes remained fixed on Haellara with expectation. His head nodded in acceptance of his guilt when she began to speak. "Yes Matron." He verbally agreed with her. He had no right to do what he had done without permission. Despite the severity of his audacity, Nuumia could not help but smile a little as Haellara began to lay out his punishment for him.
It was not much of a punishment. In truth it seemed more of a reward. He tried to place a seriously penitent expression on his face...but for all his efforts all he could do was smile up at Haellara. In reflection, Nuumia figured he'd probably have smiled even if Haellara had told him he was to be publicly lashed. So long as he retained his position... So long as Haellara did not take away his place as her Patron. He could smile like an idiot and be truely pleased. "I would be very content to abide by your decision Marton. I will attend you as you inspect the room when you determin it is time to do such. I will ensure all is corrected immediately and to your approval." Nuumia's cheeks flushed with heat, and he shifted on his knee's before her. "I will do my best to satisfy all your desires Matron." Goddess! He prayed silently that he'd be able to meet those desires..and if not..well..he'd just make himself. His Matron needed her Patron to be suitable for all her needs after all. With a more then..eager expression on his face, Nuumia rose to his feet and hovered, waiting for haellara to give him either the approval he needed to act...or to dismiss him to return later and perform. Either way, he was satisfied that he had definitely done a good job. Now all he needed to do was catch Mikaril for her!
