Legion's Heart

Silver2005
A dingy looking restaurant sits in the backstreets of Los Angeles. Most would not even spare a glance at it, let alone enter it. This is the exact reason why it is so. This is the abode of the demons. The hellspawn sent to plague the planet and devour all sources of good.

The restaurant itself is just a guise, as it has hundreds of tunnels bored into the rock beneath it. These tunnels house everything that the demons need. Including a portal back to the dark realm, through which the demons first emerged. Parts of the tunnels are inhabited by the demons, while others of the species wish to live among the humans. These are not very respected by the rest of demonkind, as they are seen as going against the objective from which they were sent to accomplish.

In the heart of the catacomb of tunnels are two large doors. They stand, 10 feet tall, made completely out of steel. A forced entry is impossible, even for the most powerful demons. These are the home of the demon leaders, personal envoys form the abbyss that rule over all the demons aboveground. They are the only ones with the power to open these doors.

This is demon country...

Current Status: Before the morning newspapers even hit the wet dew of front lawns, the underground catacomb of demon dwellings rang in their silence, empty of all life. The High Demons' doors stood stolidly closed, no sounds coming from behind them. In almost all cases, the majority of demons were gone, happy with the evil done overnight, even if it wasn't their doing.

Cynder Verius
Cynder stretched her long, black neck and laid her spines flat against her neck. She went up to the large doors and placed her large, taloned paw on the middle of the right one. It creaked and swung open. She sighed happily and entered. The dragoness lay down, relaxing. Suddenly, she decided to leave back to where she came from - the burning fires of Hell. She disappeared back into the portal, as some disturbing news in Downtown Los Angeles reached her draconic ears...

((Exit to Downtown Los Angeles))

Silver2005
The night was nearly over and the sun was due to rise in a few hours. Thus, the demons were returning to their abodes, their dark works completed for the night. A large amount congregated in the main central cavern underneath the restaurant to talk about their accomplishments of the day and further establish a higher spot in their hierarchy.

Strangely enough, there was a clock in this cavern, as even demons needed to tell time by the human standard of it. This clock let the demons know when it was safe to go out and at what times they should be returning.

At the moment, the clock was ticking towards 2, only being a minute off from its target. For an observer who knew what was going to happen, the minute would have passed quite slowly as the moment neared, but this was not so for the demons in the area. They had no idea that this would be the night they died, so the minute passed quite quickly for them.

Tick...tick...tick...

The second hand moved to the twelve and the time had come.

Small spheres had been embedded in the ceiling of the carvern, spheres that were now opening up. Once opened, a small nozzle appeared from their depths and began to spray a liquid down on the unsuspecting demons. All in all, it would not have been a lot from a single sphere, barely enough to fill half a glass, but there were over a hundred sphere embedded in the ceiling, enough to drench everything.

Smoke started to rise from the demons bodies and they looked around in confusion, then the pain set in. They started jumping around, trying to avoid the burning liquid that was destorying them.

Holy Water!!! one thought into the minds of the rest. Flames started appearing on the bodies of the demons and a few of the lesserones had already disintegrated,

As the strongest demons started to succumb to the fluid, they cried out at one, Mistress!!! This cry was sent straight in the mind of their leader, as the demons in the chamber burst into flames and dissapeared.

With the job accomplished, the spheres exploded, annihilating themselves completely.

Tick...tick...tick...

Silver2005
A lycan was walking slowly down the street towards the restaurant, obviously nervous. This was because he knew the place he was about to enter and he knew that he could quite possibly die. He doesn't pay me enough to do this...but I guess I have to do it anyways. With a gulp, the lycan walked into the restaurant and down into the catacombs below.

As he reached the main chamber below the restaurant, a smell of sulfer reached his nose. He also noticed that the gound was wet and there were scorch marks on the ceiling. What happened here? he wondered. He tasted the substance on the ground. Its just normal water...thats strange...unless!!! He looked around, but he didn't see anyone. They must have been hit as well. I must tell the Alpha, but I have to accomplish the task he sent me to do.

Well, here goes. "Cynder!" he called out as load as he could, his voice echoing through the chambers.

Cynder Verius
Cynder's gigantic head shoved it's way quickly to face the Lycan. Pushing her immense body through the doorway, she glared down at the Lycan who dared set foot at the Legion's Heart. "What is so important that you dare bother the demonic Cynder?!" she hissed menacingly, scraping her claws against the floor in a sign of displeasure. "If it is no good reason, I might not keep you alive." she added with a growl of mocking.

Quote:
The lycan cringed in the draconic face that looked at him. "I-I was t-told by my A-Alpha to t-tell you that t-there will b-be a m-meeting between u-us, the v-vampires, and, w-we were h-hoping you, a-as well," he was able to stammer out. May I please be able to see the light of the moon again, he prayed in his mind. "I-In light of the m-many deaths that h-have been o-occuring, as I-I can see h-here, as well," he continued, pointing at the damp floor and the scorched ceiling.

Quote:
Cynder narrowed her eyes. "Why should I meet with Lycans and Vampires?" she asked disdainfully. "Ah... You wish to see the light of moon, don't you?" she glanced up at the darkened sky. "This does not seem as dire importance to me. I grow bored. I give you a few moments to explain why I should go, else you won't live to see the next moon." she threatened menacingly, baring her sharp fans that dripping with the blood of her savage enemies.

Quote:
The lycan became even more afraid with what Cynder said, but he seemed to have finally found his courage and his stammering stopped. "Well...for a couple of reasons. First, because of the deaths that I believe happened here, which have also happened to us and the vampires, if you didn't know. And my Alpha mentioned to me that it may have something to do with Europe and the destruction of all the Immortals there. Coming from what he said, this may lead to the extermination of all of us. He wants that to not happen and so he wishes for your helpin saving your race and the rest. Will...will you help?" he asked, a hopeful tone in his voice. He knew that if she replied no, then he would be dead and his mission failed. I just hope that failing this mission doesn't mean the destruction of everything...

Cynder Verius
Cynder laughed harshly. "What does your Alpha care about demons?" she hissed in fury. "What care does he have that he wishes to save my race when there are few of us left anyways?" she added with a cynical smile. "But, I am intrigued a bit, so tell me more about this. I wish to know more so I can make my decision."

Silver2005
The lycan was beginning to become angry at Cynder in her aloofness and suspicions, something that he couldn't keep from his words when he spoke to her next. "It is true that my Alpha most likely wishes mainly to save our race, but he isn't stupid! He knows that it will be nearly impossible for us to do it on our own and thus, wishes for your help. We are not the only ones that need help, you are as well! If you refuse this request of friendship and peace, then you are the idiot instead and you would be dooming all of your brethren to death! The choice is yours..." He finished, staring directly at her, all forms of fear wiped away. When a lycan became angry, he no longer cares for the consequences of what he does or says.

After he finished speaking, he realized what he had just said, but he knew he couldn't take it back now. He waited, wondering what it would feel like to have his flesh burned away.

(So, does Cynder the character relate to courage, in this case anger, better? wink )

Cynder Verius
Cynder gave the lycan a cynical smile, and spat the burning fire on the ground beside the lycan. It splashed up toward his arm. "Ah... Now, finally, I can see you truthfully. Your fear disguised your true ability to be courageous." The dragoness narrowed her eyes thoughtfully. "Alright, I will come. But if anything happens, nothing can stop my fury and, in this case," she stated coldly, gesturing at the boiling liquid that ate away at the ground where it landed. "That poison." She shoved her whole bulk through the doorway. Her scales shone with an eerie light, and a depp raven-black. They rattled slightly when she twitched her tail boredly. "I'm waiting. Show me the way, lycan, or I won't have a guide anymore." she smiled menacingly.

(( Not really - she couldn't tell that the Lycan wasn't covering up his true emotions until he got rid of his fear. xd ))

Silver2005
The Lycan stepped back in alarm at the fire that spashed next to him, the heat splashing over his fur. He expected after this to be entirely engulfed in flame, so he was surprised at what Cynder said next. "You will?!" he exclaimed in astonishment.

Then, when she told him to hurry up, he did. "Yes, yes of course. Uh...this way," he walked swiftly, still completely overwhelmed that he had actually accomplished his mission. Thank you...

(Exit to DSS Warehouse)

Cynder Verius
Cynder grinned to herself, and nodded her head in satisfaction. The dragoness followed the Lycan.

(( Exit to DSS Warehouse. ))

Silver2005
(As leader of the guild, I give myself permission to be here. xd )

Silver stopped outside of the restaurant, this being the limit of his knowledge on the demon's abode. He had no idea who...or what he would find when he stepped inside, but he knew that he needed to find Cynder. The door to the restaurant swung open noisily as he pushed on it, obviously not having been used in a long while. I suppose they have another way of entrance and don't use this.

He stepped through the empty facade of a restaurant and went through a back door that was supposed to go to the kitchen, though it didn't. Instead, it led to a rather large tunnel that sloped down into the earth. Silver walked along this nervously and glanced around him from time to time. After a few minutes of walking, he arrived in the main chamber of the demonic horde's tunnels. It had been many hours since the deaths of the demons in this chamber and nothing could be seen now of what happened, but Silver knew nonetheless. His lycan officer had informed him on what had transpired down here.

"Cynder!" he called out once he reached the middle of the chamber. Maybe this wasn't the place she returned to. Maybe her magic sent her somplace else? If this was true, then he knew that he had no chance of finding her. "Cynder, are you there?!" he called out once more. He was ready for an attack at this point, as her anger against him wouldn't have faded that quickly. Actually, he was ready to let her have a free shot at him; he felt that he deserved that much.

Cynder Verius
Cynder hung suspended from the roof like a bat, except all her talons were latched onto the supporting beam. Her wings curled around her, and there was no noise. She opened her mouth, and spat sizzling poison at Silver. "What are you doing here? If my demon hordes ever find out, there'll be nothing I can do to help you! When they smell anything other than demon, they won't listen to me, let alone anyone." she hissed.

Silver2005
Silver jumped back from the poison, some of it splattering onto his arms. He winced in pain at this, but just stood and watched Cynder above him, "I can take care of myself. Its you i'm worried about. Are you okay?" he called out to her, still genuinely worried.

Cynder Verius
Cynder grinned evilly. "Why are you worried about me, Lycan? You have your courage to worry about. Though, you're coming around." she hissed, spitting more poison at the gorund in front of Silver, trying to force him towards the door.

Silver2005
Silver shook his head, starting to laugh, "Is that what this is about?" he asked, incredulously. He jumped back from the poison, this time far enough to not get splashed. It was then that he noticed she was making his back towards the door. Not going to get me to leave that easily, he thought, edging in a circle so his back was no long towards the door, but towards a rock wall.

Cynder Verius
Cynder spat the poison at the rock wall, causing it to crumble. "Yes, this is what it is!" she growled. "Now why do you care so much about me?"

Silver2005
Silver barely flinched when the wall crumbled, not moving his gaze from her, "Why shouldn't I?...I don't understand why you are so surprised about it. We are working together, Cynder! We both want the same thing! And that can't be accomplished if your incapacitated, got it?!" he said, his voice continually getting louder.

Cynder Verius
Cynder twisted and landed with a thud in front of Silver, towering over the small Lycan Alpha. "Yes you can! Don't you realize that if I ever disappear, I have left my demons in your leadership?!" she roared, then realizing she had just told the Lycan what she meant to keep secret until she died, she turned away and started to walk off again.

Silver2005
Silver stood there for a moment, not comprehending what she had said, "What?!" he yelled at her in utter confusion. She's joking! She has to be joking! Even while these thoughts were going through his mind, he raced after her. "But...how...why...I thought you said that they kill anything not demon?!!!" he yelled at her, finally thinking of something to say.

Cynder Verius
"They do, when I don't tell them not to. but I left them in your care if anything happened." Cynder hissed softly.

(( Gotta go, Silver - bye! ))

Silver2005
(Nooooo crying )

Silver was still seriously confused, "But...I thought you didn't like me? Why would you do something like this?! There has to be an officer of yours that would be fit for the job. I don't deserve this responsibility!" he said. It was after he said this that he realized he would be in control of two factions if something should happen to Cynder. Oh gods...

Cynder Verius
Cynder shook her head sadly. "I don't have an officer. They all go out on their own, only following the leaders. Without a Demonic King, they go to the next best creature - you." she hissed.

Silver2005
Silver was once again struck senseless by her words and he stood there in utter shock. Finally, after a few moments, he shook himself out of it. Gods, gods, gods...what am I in for now?...though, she is still fine, so I don't need to worry about that now....that will be a problem for later. He looked up and glanced at her side, asking her, "How are your wounds? Are they still bleeding like before?"

Cynder Verius
Cynder shrugged. "It doesn't make a difference. Now get your courage back, and do it quick - you never know when something might happen to me and you'll have to take over leadership." she hissed.

Silver2005
Silver pulled out the bullet that she had given him from his pocket, "For everyone, it seems I must. I'll look into this and see if we can make up a defensive measure. If not...we'll just have to avoid them the best we can. And Cynder..." he paused in thought for a moment, "Regardless of the fact that I would gain control...I really hope nothing happens to you. Once this is all over, do you think we could be...friends?"

Cynder Verius
Cynder stiffened, and she slowly turned to face the Lycan Alpha. An expression of shock played across her face. "You want to be friends with a demon? And no less, the demon's queen?!" she asked, all mocking tones and angered sounds disappearing in utter amazement. "You would risk others becoming your enemy to become a friend of one? You do have the courage, Silver. And I have the courage and knowing to accept your offer. I will be your friend. You may rely on me, as long as I can rely on you." she added softly, smiling warmly. The smile was repeated in her eyes.

Silver2005
Silver nodded, affirming everything she said, "We must be friends if we are to pull through this and the one thing that I hope, is that once this is over, we shall remain friends. I don't want any more senseless fighting between any of the races...for it really is pointless and we lose so much in it."

Cynder Verius
"Yes, of course." she hissed. "But what about the clan of Slayers? Are you saying we now shouldn't fight them?" she mocked.

Silver2005
Silver smirked and shook his head, "Of course not. I did say once this is over. We'll make sure to pound them into the ground so hard that it will be decades before they could make another offensive against anyone. Do you agree?"

Cynder Verius
"Yes... I agree." Cynder hissed in agreement.

Silver2005
Silver once again glanced at the bullet he held, "And i'll start with this. I thank you for acquiring it for me. I shall find a way to defend against this and they shall not be able to stop us."

Cynder Verius
Cynder glanced back at Silver. "Believe me, Lycan. I have looked it over, realizing it could do harm to all races. Inside the bullet is a garlic leaf to harm vampires, the bullet is silver to harm Lycans. It has holy properties - probably blessed by those cursed angels, so it does harm to my race, the demons. We are all at risk here. We cannot judge them for one second, nor sit around and wait. We must find an attack plan to destroy them once and for all!" she hissed.

Silver2005
Silver thought about the properties of the bullet she said and tried to think of a way to defend against it. Finally, he growled in annoyance, "I don't see a way to stop this. Short of dodging it...I suppose we'll do our best though. You are right that we mustn't charge in without thought, nor will I take forever in thinking. I'll find a battle plan against them...don't worry about that."

Cynder Verius
Cynder changed into her human-demon like form and walked over to Silver. "Now that's the Silver I know." she laughed kindly, smiling. "There's your courage, and your strength. You just needed to find it." Cynder started walking towards the darker shadows. "Remember, Silver. When your hope and faith disappear, just look to your sides. You will find Demons and Vampires, Lycans and leaders, staring at your with their own hope. It will give you strength. Your hope and faith will return, and you shall stand strong. That is the day that is forthcoming, Alpha Silver. The day when we stand under one banner, together, to destroy our most feared but admired enemies - the Angels and Slayers." she added wisely, her crimson eyes staring out at Silver from the darkened edge of the shadows.

Silver2005
(That...was a great speech. 3nodding Your talent for writing is shining right now.)

Silver was surprised at what she said, especially in that it was true. He did feel strong again and there was courage within him. A grateful glance was sent to Cynder, "You never doubted me...heh, you know who I am better than I do. Thank you, Cynder, I won't let you down," he said quietly. WIth a small smile, he left the cavern and headed back up to the streets above to face what needed to be faced.

(Exit to Los Angeles Downtown)

Cynder Verius
Cynder smiled after Silver, then sat down suddenly on the ground. Holding her wounded arm close, the demonic queen in her human form wrestled with the bandages. Her black blood dripped onto the ground, and she swore loudly in frustration. "This is what I get from trying to find out what those stupid Angels are up to!" she hissed crossly, flinging the bandages against the wall and leaving an imprint of blood dripping down to the ground. Wrapping another bandage securely around her arm, she started onto her head wound. "These bullets..." she moaned, staring at the silver, blessed with garlic inside bullet sitting on the floor of the demonic domain. "Why are they working together?" Cynder mumbled to herself.

(( Thankees, Silver. 4laugh xd ))

--Skornea--
As silent as a mouse, as swift as the wind; the Demonic King entered the area slowly. His eyes cast upon the surroundings of the area, taking in everything and everyone. He noticed Cynder, apparently she was wounded from his point of view. He chuckled as he made his way over to her, making his presence known only by his Demonic Aura. "What happened to you hm?"He said quietly to her. "Had a 'ittle run in with a Slayer eh?"He chuckled and crossed his arms.

Cynder Verius
Cynder rounded on him. "Don't step on the bullet you fool!" She hissed in fury, pointing to the blessed and holy bullet in front of Kojima. The Demonic Queen shuddered in anger. "You disrespect me, even though I am of the same rank as you." she growled, her human form clenching her fists. Cynder narrowed her eyes. "If you must know, I did. Those Angels have better aim than I expected. Now, I'm going to my room. I wanted to make sure Silver had left." she added crossly, then her image wavered as she strode right through two heavily barred doors to the right.

(( Exit to Demonic Queen's Domain ))

--Skornea--
Kojima stopped, looking at the bullet. He made a sour face then looked back at Cynder, he chuckled. "Don't feel special....I'm disrespectful toward everyone....."Kojima crossed his arms. He watched her leave, he shook his head and sat himself down in a chair. He folded his hands in his lap and leaned backward into his chair. He was rather annoyed with tonight, nothing to do and no one to see. He sighed, there was bound to be someone out there he could....Mingle with. The thought of it seemed exciting, however the whole process of finding someone was rather annoying. With a sigh he closed his eyes and crossed his arms, throwing his mind into deep thought. After a while of thinking, he stood and left the room.

((Exit))

Cynder Verius
There was a muttering noise from inside the building. Hundreds of Demons milled about in confusion, wondering why they were called here. Yvara, the Werecat Commander, stood stock still in fear. The noise quieted when Cynder appeared.

"Silence!" she roared. "It is time we show those Slayers what we are made of!" she yelled. The Demons gurgled with pleasure, flinging their arms up in joy and crying out gleefully. "Today, we go to war!" she cried. Deafening cheers resounded throughout the building, causing it to shake.

"Follow me, my loyal friends! Today, we fight for our lives! We fight for Maren, Silver, Akina, Yazoo, Senia, Noble, Alexial, Vlos, Zzeill, Yami and all the others! We fight to save our friends! Let us kill or be killed! Let us die a death to be remembered! Let us show those Slayers what we are made of!" the cheers became louder as Cynder led her forces out the door, marching through the streets with resonating cries of joy.

--Skornea--
A colum of fire rose up beside Cynder, from inside it Kojima stepped out. A cigarette was in his mouth and his arms were crossed. "Well, well, well....We're finally deciding to go to war?"He chuckled, flicking the cigarette to the ground. "And ya didn't invite me, heh...."He glanced at Cynder. Fire formed in his hand, it started to take form. It was forming into the Katana that he owned, in a moments time it popped into his hands. He grinned and bounced it in his hand, "Well what are we waiting for?"

Cynder Verius
(( I gotta go. stressed Dx Bye. ))

Cynder grinned. "You're late." she chuckled, racing down the street. "Hurry up!"

--Skornea--
((Aw, okay....Bye-bye's!))

Kojima blinked, watching her dash off. He grinned, his horns sprouting from his head. He dashed after Cynder down the street, his blood boiling and his anxiety growing.

Cynder Verius
Cynder roared a battle cry and vanished, along with many of the troops, through a portal.

Lost Palace of the First
Page 1

Quote:

There is a large palace far underground. It was Yami's palace from when he was the first Demon King. It has many rooms and numerous halls. The main rooms are the throne room, the library, and the gathering hall.

The throne room is further underground and remains dark besides the few torches that light the stairway and hall that lead to the room. The room is empty besides a throne chair at the back of the room and a small end table right by the chair.

The library is very large and is filled with numerous books. The books consist of many topics. There are books about many fighting styles and books about different types of magic in example.

The gathering hall is where demons used to gather. It is quite large.

The whole palace seems very old and aged. Yami transported the palace under Los Angelos from its original location long ago with magic.

It is well hidden and rarely visited by even Yami.

Quote:
Yami walked up to the old but still sturdy wooden doors that led into the underground palace. He quickly shut them and sealed it shut. Yami slowly and silently stalked down the Main Hall and at the end of the hall he pulled out a specific brick. Rattling chains were heard greatly and then bricks in the walls seperated from each other. The bricks stopped moving and what looked like a doorway was there. Yami pushed the brick he had removed back into its spot in the wall until it clicked. He then walked into the doorway and stared down the staircase before him.

The hidden passage was much more dark than the rest of the palace which had been fairly bright. Yami began to walk down the staircase which was lit with a few torches hanging on the walls; the bricks shut together tight behind him, a steel door slid and locked in place in front of that, and finally magic enchanted metal chains latched to the walls, ceiling, and floor in front of the steel door, creating a complete blockade from entering.

Yami made his way down the seemingly neverending staircase until he came to two large steel doors. He pushed them open and entered his throne room. He then shut the two large doors, sealing him in darkness. He sickly made his way to his throne and fell back in it. He held his head as if he had a headache with one hand and with the other he grabbed a bottle of alcohol on the end table near his throne chair. He dressed the bottle's open top against his lips and began to drink.

This room would be hard to find and get into for any how wished to find him. The entrance was sealed and the there was no hint of a secert passage. The only way he could be tracked was by the demonic power that resenated from his body and the scent that only brought somone to the front gate of the palace and then ended.

Quote:

Maren stood outside the gates, looking up at the building. Yami's scent stopped here, but she had no doubt he was inside. Was he in trouble? She did not know, but she would hurry just in case.

She pushed off from the ground, soaring high above the fence and landing gently on the other side, dashing up the steps and placing her hands against the doors.
Dammit, locked.

((Should I send Maren inside...?))

It made no difference, however. There was never a lock made that could hold back a Vampire, let alone Maren. Her hands wrapped around the handles and she began to pull, the wooden doors creaking in protest before finally swinging open under Maren's grasp.

She stepped into the main hall, studying it curiously. It was a grand old place, fitting of such a magnificient building, but there was no time to waste admiring it. Maren raced to the end of the hallway, stopping when she reached the wall.

There was a trick here, she was sure of it. Maren could feel the magic radiating off of the wall as she slid her fingertips across it, examining each brick individually. The trick, the trick...

There it was.

She slid her fingers into the cracks in the mortar, grasping the brick and pulling it out. She heard chains moving, clanging and sliding across the opposite side of the wall.

Suddenly, the bricks began to move, causing Maren to step back and drop the one she was holding. A doorway formed, a gentle arch that looked rather old. Tentively, she stepped through, then raced with great speed down the staircase before her.

The staircase seemed well-lit to Maren, a creature used to seeing nothing but night. She heard things move behind her, bricks chains and steel scraping against eachother as she raced down the staircase at full speed. It was incredible how long it was, how it seemed to keep going forever.

If Maren had not been so cautious, she would have ran right into the steel doors that she saw now. She pressed her fingers along the seam in the doors, aging the metal and working her fingertips into the crack. Carefully, but with strength and purpose, she pushed open the doors. Grunting slightly while she forced them apart.

Finally, she stepped through the doors, immediately recognising her fiance. The smell of alcohol was heavy on the air.

"Yami?"

Quote:
The steel doors slammed shut behind Maren, making the darkness flow in; this darkness was darker than the night and made it hard to see even for a vampire.

Yami's eyes slowly opened and glowed yellow in the darkness. His eyes were the only thing of him visible. Sounds of taking sips from a bottle were heard but his eyes stayed focused on Maren.

"Welcome to my palace. The Lost Palace of the First as i have named it. There is much you do not know about me....Oh and I know what you've been doing." The last statement was fierce yet sutile.

Quote:

Maren watched Yami as he seemed to dissappear, the blackness spreading inwards to conceal him completely. Maren calmed slightly, glad that he was not harmed.
"It's a beautiful place, Yami. If I had not been in such a rush, I would have liked to admire it more."

She stepped towards him carefully, unsure of her footing inside the room. Slowly, Maren made her way towards him and his throne.
"It is true, there is much that I do not know about you. I'd like to, though. As for what I've been doing, it is the same thing that I have done every night since my first death, Yami. Nothing has changed."

Quote:
His eyes quickly glanced at her fiercly. "That's the thing. When you love someone, you change for them. I know you must eat but you feast on innocents, You just feast on them cause they taste good. That is no reason at all. I have turned a blind eye to this for a long time and can not any longer."
((crappy post but got rushed as always))

His glance caused her to stop, and his words made her clutch her chest.
"But, I've tried. When I hunt, I no longer single out the innocent, search them out for exquisitness of their blood. Yes, I still kill them, but I kill just as many uninnocent."
Quote:

Maren knew, somehow, that this conversation had been a long time coming. It hurt, but she knew it would not go away. It was time to face the music, a bitter tune it may be.

Quote:
"You don't care about who you kill. You only see them as substinence when they're not. They try to live in the world just like you. You went beserk at the park and let your hunger take over. You let your hunger control you when you're stronger than it. Vala does not need the deaths of the other family members of that girl on her conscience because of her mistake and you overreacting to it. If she went to the police, they would call her insane and ignore it. And they would never be able to find her if they did believe her. And I know about you feasting of people at a party, they were teenagers trying to have a good time. You would not like it if you were in the humans position would you? All your actions make me wonder if you have a conscience, do you? You know how I feel about this thing, yet you don't stop killing innocents. You give in to the hunger but you can overcome it, believe me." His eyes remained emotionless and no light was in the room except the light emitting from his eyes.

Quote:

"No, I don't care about who I kill. I never have. If I did, I wouldn't be able to kill them. I wouldn't be able to hunt, to feed, to survive," Maren said, trying to keep her voice from wavering. Couldn't he understand? She needed to feed. She enjoyed it, really, "I can't stop it, Yami. You know I can't.

"What happened in the park today was a slip-up. It's not going to happen again, as long as I can stop it," Maren said quietly, "I am ashamed of my actions. Bloodlust hit me, and I cared more for eating than I did for anything else. I turned protecting Vala into an excuse to eat, and I am ashamed for it, but I do not think I was wrong. Killing them, quickly and quietly, would have been the best way to go about things, I am sure of it."

Maren glanced away, folding her hands together.
"Yes, I know you dislike it. That is why I have cut back, so that you would not find me disgusting. Clearly, my efforts have not been enough. As for a concsience... I do not think I have one."

Quote:
A devilish grin spread across his face. "It appears we have made progress. All of which you have said is bullshit. I know you have to feed. I don't care about you feeding; the only thing I care about your feeding is the innocents. Everytime you feed on an innocent its like you're feeding on Vala, who is very innocent."

He took a sip from his bottle. "And your idea of killing the family at the park was not right. It was very wrong. Violence does not solve everything; killing is not always the solution."

"And as for a conscience, the fact of how you reacted to this and the fact that you care what I say proves you have one." He took another sip of the alcohol.

Quote:

Maren shook her head, a slight smile crossing her lips.
"I disagree, hun. I care what you say because I love you, and I want you to be happy with me for who I am, no matter what I do."

"Killing is a very real solution. If Vala or I are discovered, we will be hunted across the world. It will be a decade before we are able to come out of hiding, all I want for Vala is as normal a childhood as possible, a happy childhood. If killing those people in the park would bring it, I would in an instant."

Maren folded her hands again, worrying her fingers as she glanced back towards the glowing gold orbs that were Yami's eyes.
"I have not fed on a child since before Vala was born, I'll raise the age if you like. I'll stop eating teenagers, too. It will be... unpleasant, but I can try."

Quote:
"If you had no conscience, you would not care what I thought of you."

"That familys' deaths would be on conscience. Because she killed Anna which would have caused you to kill the others. And because of her mistake a innocent lives would be dead and on her conscience. Things never leave your conscience; it would have always haunted her."

"Innocents are innocents no matter the age. I have a proposal though. You feed on my blood. I have an infinite amount. I will never run dry. Plus its the blood of a Devil, not a normal demon."

"...I hadn't thought of that." Maren said quietly. She began to walk towards Yami once more, "I guess I should have. I think Vala will carry this business with her for a while, but even if it was not her that killed the others, you're right. She would feel responsible for it. Perhaps that is proof that I do not have a conscience, I don't feel regret or guilt for anything I've done."

Maren sighed, "Yami, I couldn't. Immortal blood affects Vampires differently than human blood. If I drink your blood, I will grow no stronger. When my hunger returns I will be ravenous, dangerous. I would become an addict," she said, drawing closer to Yami, "And worse, I might hurt you."

Yami1214
A grin stretched across Yami's face. "But, my dear, I'm a Devil. Devils make deals, my love. In fact, your race was started from a deal made with a devil. Here's the deal, you refrain from eating innocents unless completely nessasary to survive. My blood will make you stronger. However, you will not be as strong over time and therefore you will be able to eat uninnocents. Also, your hunger will not as be as strong and it'll will cause less inncidents like at the park. As for your benefit from the deal, I will help you find something you have lost. The thing is if you break the deal....you will die...I won't kill you but the moment you do, you will fall down dead. Do you accept it?" His eyes gave her a questioned stare.

Rhia-chan
Maren stopped walking again, standing still. She closed her eyes, thinking it through. Could she do it? Could she stop hunting innocents completely? She did not know, but for Yami, she would surely try.

Something else occurred to her and she opened her eyes, focusing her pink orbs on Yami's gold.
"Something I've lost?" Maren asked, unsure of what he meant.

Quote:
"Your race. Who and what you are, my dear. I know you've been worrying about it, and I'm quite sure I know how to help you figure it out. Now, do you accept the deal?" His demented grin grew larger as he took more sips from his bottle.

Rhia-chan
Maren took a deep breath, calling up the taste of innocent blood from her memory. So sweet, so delicate. She would miss it very much.

A small smile crossed her lips.
"I do."

Yami1214
"As a contract for the deal, you must drink my blood as the starting of our deal." Slitting of a palm was heard in the darkness and a cupped hand was felt against Maren's lips as liquid poured from the hand to Maren's lips. Its smell would be grand to Maren's nose.

Rhia-chan
Maren could taste the blood against her lips, and eagerly drank it down. It was a glorious taste, nearly unlike anything she had tasted before. Perhaps that was untrue, for she had had his blood once before, but that was a time of mourning and fear. Now this? This was something completely different as she parted her lips and drew his blood, enjoying every minute of the ecstasy.

Maren moaned slightly before she pulled herself away from the hand, catching her breath. She shivered slightly from the joy of it, kissing Yami's cheek once.

Yami1214
Yami kissed Maren directly on the lips passionately. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to him.

Rhia-chan
Maren answered the kiss with growing passon. She had been worried that the taste of blood might have bothered him, even though it was his own. Clearly, she did not need to worry as she tangled her hand in his hair, pressing their lips ever closer together. The ecstasy she had felt before bled into their movements, her other hand grasping at his clothes. A small moan escaped from her lips, a deal with a devil she would make any day. Gladly, for a love like this.

She felt his hands slide under her shirt, the corners of her lips turning into a grin.
~~~
Rhia-chan
"It's funny, I'm not as hungry as before."
Maren said, relaxed against his chest. Yami sat on his throne, Maren sat straddling his lap facing him, both feeling incredible after their session.
She curled into his warmth again, reveling in the feeling of his skin, the taste of his blood still on her lips.
Yami1214
Yami smiled. "Funny isn't it? Hmmmmm....We should probably head back to the Babylon. You still have to wake your children. This war the demons are starting is so pointless and it would appear as I, the first Demon King, would have to put it to a stop."
Rhia-chan
"Mmm, there's something I didn't know about you," Maren chuckled as she slid off of his lap. She kissed him gently once, "You'll have to give me a tour of your palace sometime, it's a very lovely place. After this blasted war is settled, of course."
Maren retrieved her clothing from the floor, sliding on her undergarments.
"By the way, you said you knew how to help me find my race?" she asked, pulling the skirt up around her hips. Maren tugged her shirt down over her head, finding the sleves and bushing her hair out, "I'd like to know. It's unnerving to not know what you are."
Yami1214
Yami got up from his throne and dressed while she did. When he heard her question, he wrapped his arms around Maren from behind.
"Close your eyes, and relax. Breath deep, and think of the creatue most familliar to you," he said, resting his chin on her shoulder, "Got the image? Good. Focus on it, feel it, call it to you. Become it."
Rhia-chan
Maren listened, taking a deep breath while he spoke, calming her senses. She knew the animal most familliar to her, the image of it came to her almost immediately.
Fur spread along her body and she fell to the floor, standing on four feet instead of two. A tail pushed out from the base of her spine and her ears slid up her skull, becoming pointed on the top of her head. Her nose and mouth pushed out, becoming a snout. Bones creaked and moved as she changed shape, leaving her completely unhuman.
The entire process took less than a second. When it was over, Maren opened her pink eyes, glancing up at Yami. It was an unusual vantage point for her, he seemed to be so tall from below.
Well, this is unusual,
she thought, glancing down at her red wolf paws.
Yami1214
Yami crouched down and gently scratched her behind the ears. "Well aren't you a pretty wolf, Maren." He smiled and stroked her fur.
Rhia-chan
Maren closed her eyes again, leaning into his hand as he scratched behind her ear.
That feels good, she told him, her tail wagging. She gazed up at him, love reflected in her eyes. Coming from him, a Devil, a wolf, and her husband, his compliment meant the world.
But how do I change back? Ah, wait, I'll figure it out.
She pulled up the thought of her usual body, the Vampire skin she had worn for nearly two millennia. Gracefully she slid into it, opening her eyes once more and standing to normal height.
"Thank you, love," Maren said, kissing Yami once more, "We should be getting back, soon, I think."
Rhia-chan
Yami returned the kiss for the brief moment that it lasted, "I think so, too. Come, this way."
The doors opened and he led her along the staircase. Creaks and groans of chains and metal could be heard along with the shuffling of bricks as everything opened itself once again, making an exist for their master and his consort. Through the opening they traveled, then down the hall and to the front doors.
Before stepping outside, however, Yami shapeshifted into his black wolf shape, looking back at Maren with golden eyes.
Care to join me for a run?
Maren smiled, "I'd love to," she replied. Fur spread along her body and she fell on all fours, a wolf once more.
Together, black and red, they bounded to the rooftops. Heading towards, home, The Babylon.
((Exit: Maren and Yami: The Babylon))
That's it. It's almost 2am, I'm going to sleep, damnit gonk
