Balancer frowned a bit. It wasn't that he was obsessed with it. It was his role as a god. That was his whole purpose. That's how his powers functioned.
Balancer's eyes soon became bright with light themselves, allowing him to see in the harsh light. His cloak and form turned into darkness solidified. Though he did not completely dissapear, the Spectre's light began to make his shadowy body fade.

Balancer dove out of the way of the talon, keeping both his shield and sword up to block just in case he did not fully escape it. Letting go of his shield, and allowing it to hover beside him, his hand became engulfed in a red light. A fiery blast, strong enough to match that of Abolisher's, went flying towards the Spectre.
Balancer's other hand became surrounded with a liquidy blue glow.

Balancer took a firm grip on his shield again, and cautiously looked around. His frown increased as he caught a glimps of Abolisher. He was actually enjoying himself...

Abolisher's amused smirk quickly faded as something rather unexpected happened. Pain.

Balancer grimmaced and tossed his shield at the Abolisher, phasing through him and suddenly melting around his body, letting the fire eat at it rather than the man now under it.

Not only did he have to save the man...but now he had just given up his shield for him.

Balancer wasn't quick enough to dodge him. Without his shield, he had only a few options left.
One of his armored hands came up and clamped down onto the Spectre's arm, energy spitting out of it to try and decentigrate the arm. His other hand brought up his sword to ram it between them and into the man's chest, black energy pulsing through it as well.




Abolisher, now safe from the fire, watched on with much less amusement as before. He pulled a small stone from one of the pockets of his armor and attatched it to the neck of his suit. That should ensure that he's able to keep the shield as an extra layer to his armor.

Balancer grimmaced in pain and tried to call his shield back to him. But...it wouldn't budge from Abolisher. He opened his eyes enough to see what was wrong, and quickly took note of the new jem on his armor. With a small smile and a wave, the Abolisher suddenly vanished from the room.
Balancer cursed through his clenched teeth. Without his shield...there was nothing he could do.

As Spectre poured more power into the flames, they began to do as they were meant. Balancer held back a scream of pain a moment, then a moment later, he hadn't the ability to do so.




Burr and Sholeh sat in the field, both trying to free themselves from their chains. Not getting very far with them at all. A bright flash of light erupted from behind them, causing them both to jump.
"Relax." a female voice said.
Both children looked back to find the Creator in full armor standing behind them. "I'm not here to hurt you." she continued.
A second later, a long scisor like device appeared in front of them. It moved down to the chains and began cutting them off of them.
