Angel d`Monte Lions make you brave, Giants give you faith. Death is a charade, You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel`s eyes widened in surprise as the scroll left her hand suddenly. She would have to get used to the magic used in this place. She smiled politely and shook her head, "I can wait.. I would prefer the safety of your company as well" she said softly.
Her voice then broke off into a quiet whine as Faris began to yell at the new entity almost as feverishly as he had the young, though pathetic, human earlier. She shuddered slightly and bit down at her bottom lip, her wings nervously twitching on her back. One of the feathers broke loose and floated to the ground in front of her and she clasped her hands over her mouth and bent down to pick it up carefully.
She cradled it like a mother cradled her young and she sighed softly, running her index finger over the length of it as it faded and turned into a small pile of faint, glimmering white dust in her palm. A single tear rolled down her cheek as she curled in her fingers and dropped her hand to her side, quickly wiping the tear from her face before anyone would notice.
The new entity seemed rather unaware of his actions, then used his own magic to clean up his mess. Angel smiled lightly at him, then stifled a giggle as he addressed Faris. Surely his mood would have to change now. Her eyes searched Faris` carefully for a moment and she felt grateful that he had shown her the kind graciousness that he had. Had he yelled at her like he did the others, well; she didn`t know where she would be now.

A fang bit deep into the scars of the lower lip, blood beading lightly around the ivory thing, dark and thick. Moreso than it should have been. "Ireina would have my hide, snapping at those who see not with their eyes." He'd whispered the words, a soft sigh barely remaining within. "You are more than welcome to take out anything you need, little Grace. Ask if you need help, and I can get a journal for you to write anything you feel the need to record, if you desire." Turning to focus on the other with him, he cast a cursory glance at the jacket. He'd seen the jingling rings on the back before, had felt the power of that blade. "My twin is better at simply calling things from other-kept abyss, but if you want I can do just the same. I can help you if you promise to be conscious of what you are doing in the future." Then, nearly offering his hand before blanching, "My name is Faris Maduva. While not a title of librarian or curator really fits what I am, I do work mostly here in this... archive as you aptly put it." The wolf peeled a small flake of the cracked, chapped lower lip before continuing. "Though the Lord of this Haven is off on a trip, I am managing the rooms to rent here and the library and other functions in his stead. If you would wait a moment, I would like to get a few things for this Grace and escort her to the Village Tavern so that she may rest for a night."
Faris turned to Angel then and looked curiously at her. She had traces of her earlier fear and a definite sadness and worry about her, just as he could taste the salt from the fallen tear. "It is a bit cold as well. I shall have to get you some proper clothes together so that you do not catch any abstract illness. Come, sit aside for a bit while I get a few things for you to peruse. And one of my jackets, I think. No, cannot 'ave you freezing." The thick accent had begun to work itself into his speech, showing the wolf to be as foreign as his manner.

A small smile passed over Angel`s lips as Faris spoke to himself, sighing contently she padded over to a table and took a seat there while she waited for him to fetch her something warmer to wear while they walked to the Tavern.
She sighed when he had addressed her; obviously catching onto her feelings. Her hand still curled around the dust that was one of her feathers, her eyes staring at it in her lap. For a moment she dared to open her hand and the dust danced out of her palm and spread throughout the room until it could no longer be seen. Why did she live such a cursed life, and when would she ever see Keil again? She sighed and closed her eyes for a moment, opening them only to look at Faris and usher a small nod in approval as he spoke. "A jacket would be great, so long as it doesn`t smell.. human.." she said with a shrill little giggle.

The wolf looked curiously to the little grace he had led to a table some few steps away from the end of the bookcases. "And I smell of those silly mortals?" It was an effort at teasing words, and the tone fit, even if the words did not wholly reach his eyes or form a smile. The jacket he'd fetched he now laid across her lap, and several scrolls and books were gently sailing from various parts of the room. Unfortunately enough, he'd also beckoned one of the empty journals from his station on the floor above as well, and it merely shot over the rail and dropped, corner first onto his crown. "Damned worthless things always doing that. Nothing but a cause for migraines..." The other order of business would be taken care of, that he was sure.
"Ah, Otis! This little grace will need a change of clothes. Can you fetch them from the storage and bring them to the tavern?" The kitten grumbled, his low voice and seemingly Scottish accent a far cry from any expected companion. "And I s'pose that you'd 'ave me staying at th' room to be sure that 'er needs be met?" and then more quietly, "Yer a great arse, Riz. Great, old, annoyin' arse." The wolf waved the little beast off. "He's rather tempermental if I order him around. A piece of cheese or a chance to cuddle you or play with some string, and he's wrapped around your ankles... I'll have sorted out some other things for you in the morning." Faris gathered the literature, several pens, and the journal into a fairly-sized cloth satchel.

Aurios watched as the people milled about their daily life in the library. The curator made no sense to him. A hotbed of emotion and anger. Sighing gently, knowing this place had nothing to offer him he slipped out the door quietly. Perhaps the invitation to this Haven had been misplaced.
Looking around the veranda that he was standing on, he saw all the dust he had created and sighed. Focusing on all of the power he could, he gathered it up and placed it back in it's container. Securing the jar's lid, he turned and looked over the grounds. It was a beautiful, well kept landscape, though something about this place still bothered him.
Shaking his head he began to walk off, heading back out the way he came. This was a mistake to come here. His power was weakened and supposedly the man who'd invited him had left on a trip.
"Waste of my time..." he said as he walked off.

Angel giggled lightly as Faris spoke of the humans and shook her head, picking the jacket from her lap and placing it around her shoulders. A melodic tune of laughter passed her lips as the book hit Faris and she quickly clamped her hands over her mouth, "S-sorry, Faris.. your spells are just, so odd.." she smiled, shaking her head as she pushed herself to her feet.
Angel then shifted her gaze down towards the little kitten that began to speak to Faris. She blinked several times as she listened to it`s thick scottish accent and laughed lightly at it`s complaint, "he`s so cute though -- I can make sure that he`s happy if I see him at the tavern. And that sounds lovely, thank you again for doing this for me, Faris" she said, smiling softly.
Her eyes followed the odd ethereal entity that had now left the library and she sighed, sensing it`s emotions. "Hmn.. forgive me Faris, but I just.. I need to go and speak to that creature.." she said, motioning to the door before quickly scampering off outside. She saw him walking off away from the library and jogged lightly to catch up to him, "H-hey.. wait~!" she called, sighing once she had caught up to him. "You seem.. discontent, upset.." she said, observing his emotions as she saw fit.

xxxxxAurios the Lost•••xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx All I see is ghosts. All I know is pieces. Do you know who I am? Aurios blinked as one of the creatures walked up him, bade his halt. Frowning softly as a weird feeling washed over him. It was a budding sense of familiarity, though not of the person. Of something else it seemed. Shaking his head lightly he gave her a look like he'd just come out of a daze to avoid questions then let a weak smile cross his face.
"Ah."he said absentmindedly."Forgive me if you thought as such. I was confused as to where I was. I apologize if I wrecked anything you own or interrupted anything you were doing. I'll be on my way then. Take care."
He gave a short smile, spun on his heels, and began walking back into the wilderness. It was obvious he was headed out of the Haven
((Ugh, I hate the guild posting format. I can't use half my normal tricks. D:< got a work around though... )) What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

Angel sighed lightly and flapped her wings, launching herself up into the air. She hovered above him for a moment, staring down at him before dipping so that she was in front of him, flying backwards and facing him. She smiled lightly and shook her head, "No.. you didn`t do anything wrong.. why are you leaving the Haven?" she asked, cocking her head slightly to the side.
Her wings were beginning to fail her and she hovered down to the ground, landing gracefully upon it it as she eyed the man carefully. "My name is Angel... Angel d`Monte.." she said softly.

Frowning softly he eyed the tree line behind her and measured the distance, estimating it to be well within his sprinting distance should something go wrong. Sighing he turned his gaze to meet with hers, uncharacteristically locking gazes with her.
"I'm leaving because the man I was to meet is gone on extended leave and my power are..." he paused as he almost let his problem slip. He couldn't just be handing advantages out to everyone. "Dangerous, as you've seen."
He frowned inwardly at himself. Her "familiarity" had offset him enough to almost hand out a vital piece of information. Damn his mind. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

Her face scrunched up slightly and she shrugged her shoulders at his response, "you know... Faris is pretty smart with those kinda things.. and he`s got tons of books and scrolls on everything~! I bet we could find you something..." she said, sighing softly. He hadn`t introduced himself to her, but that was alright -- she wasn`t much of a people person herself, nor did she know proper etiquette between beings all that well.
A soft breeze danced through her hair and she tried to smooth it out afterwards, glancing at the air in front of her as one of her feathers had fallen off and was now floating to the ground. She stifled a gasp and reached out clumsily to grab it, holding onto to it hard in her hand, "y-you know... you just.. you just do what you would like..." she stammered, side-stepping around him and walking back towards the library, staring down at the now pile of glimmering dust in her hand with a distant look.

xxxxxAurios the Lost•••xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx All I see is ghosts. All I know is pieces. Do you know who I am? It was like watching a slideshow. One second she was personable, the next she was stammering like a hurt lover. He wasn't sure what was going on until he saw the dust. Growling softly he gently lifted it out of her hands, with surprising ease, with his powers and trailed it back to him. When she turned to see where it was flying off to, his eyes easily caught hers. They carried a recognition in them, though it was more of a general understanding.
"My name is Aurios Tamian." he said softly as the glimmering dust gently spun around his hand. "Something's hurting you else you wouldn't be losing these feathers, would you? Perhaps you've been outside the Gates for far too long..."
Inside, he was scared. His mouth was moving on its own, spouting things he'd never known before. What in the world was he talking about? What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

Angel felt the dust leave her hand and quickly whirled around to follow it, watching it swirl in front of the man. She shuddered as she stared at it, then up into his eyes. He seemed so familiar, though she couldn`t place him. How had she not felt this sooner? She took a few hesitant steps towards him, nodding as he introduced himself finally.
When he spoke of her feathers she felt as though someone had ripped out her heart. Her hands flew up to her chest and she clutched it tightly, shaking her head and diverting her eyes to the ground. He mentioned the gates and her fingers instinctively curled into fists, "how do you know that?" she spat, animosity in her eyes as she raised them to his.
In all of her years of wandering the earth she had never crossed an entity that could figure out anything of her. Even Faris hadn`t come to that conclusion. Her eyes softened once more, not able to hold her anger for more than a few moments. A small sigh passed over her lips and she shook her head, "it doesn`t matter.." she said, turning back around so that she was facing away from him, though she couldn`t bring herself to physically walk away.

When he let go of it, his body seemed to relax and a soft sigh came from his lips. His eyes softened and he took a slight step backwards, as if he was afraid of what he'd done. Quickly regaining himself before she turned, he shook his head to clear it before refocusing on her back.
"Take care miss." he said softly. "I suggest you find a new source soon, else you'll lose them all."
He turned softly on his heels again and quickly escaped into the treeline, hoping she wouldn't follow him. Something was very wrong here and he was practically defenseless with this dampening. That alone bothered him enough to be fearful for his life. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

Angel d`Monte Lions make you brave, Giants give you faith. Death is a charade, You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. His presence weakened after he returned the dust and spoke to her. If only he knew that she`d been searching for any source of energy for 500 years. She sighed as she felt him move away, but didn`t look back or think of following him. Something was wrong with him, and she; being a creature of solace, understood the need to be alone.
Her feet easily carried her back to the library. She was antsy to get to the tavern, to set up her room. She needed to be alone as well, needed the company of herself. She sighed softly as she pushed open the large oak doors. There was no sign of Faris. He must`ve already left. She sighed lightly and bit at her bottom lip, "perhap I can find it on my own.." she said quietly, not wanting to disturb the peace of the place.
Turning on her heel, she exited the library once more; walking back towards the clump of trees that Aurios had walked into. Her voice was meek and timid, but she figured that he still might have been there, and she needed to understand how he knew what he did. No one that had ever met her had figured out why she was losing feathers. "A-Aurios..." she called softly, pushing some branches out of the way in front of her.

xxxxxAurios the Lost•••xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx All I see is ghosts. All I know is pieces. Do you know who I am? He had planned to vanish. Disappear and never be seen again in this place. Yet the farther he got, the slower and heavier his steps became. Something was calling him back. Answers he didn't know he wanted to questions he'd never thought of compelled him to return. Growling, he turned on his heels and sped back towards town. If it weren't for both of their superhuman reactions, he would have crashed into Angel head on. His saving reaction, however, was far from graceful as he rolled into the bush with loud crashing noises. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?
