The dad inspected the ID, nodding. "Surprised it didn't say 'Mulder' on it." He shrugged. "One of the guy's was really fast. Not unnatural really, just quick. Then you saw the chair. That's about it, aside from motives. We have no idea why they were here, but they said they were after Sam."

Kat made a snorting chuckle and relaxed back into the seat of the car, stealing a piece of the gum she'd found in Jarred's glove compartment.

The dad waved his hand in the air. "You there? You kind of went idle for sec." He glanced back at Sam. "Sam? You been shooting lasers from your eyes when I wasn't looking?"
Sam shrugged. "I belted the fast one in the teeth and threw a guy out a window. Not my average day, but not out of the ordinary." He paused, hesitant for a second.
"Earlier today, I was out jogging. Some car blitzed through a red, I didn't even realize till he was on top of me, and I just acted, like an instinct, and shoved his car to the side."

Rook paused, rubbing his chin.
"We'll be watching your family closely to see if they make another pass. If they do, we'll deal with them swiftly. Keep your noses clean, and keep a close eye on Sam. He may be able to punt a car, but we don't exactly know what all he can do, and don't know what all they can handle."
