I have a hard time believing everyone of you who called themselves a Wiccan practioner actually are Wiccan. neutral

Non-religious strong Atheist, which by default makes me a pagan.
And alot of you also seem to forget that Pagan is a term for those who do not follow God/Allah, not just those di/poly/pan-theistic nature-worshipping herbal magic practioners.

Um. . . actually that is not entirely true now!

~~~Who is a "Pagan?"
Whole lotta text
tl;dr all of it.
Sorry, but yeah. But I don't think just because neo-pagansism (as in form of ecclectic neo-paganism) arose, it will not change the definition of pagan.
It also states in the fifth meaning of the word what I declared was the meaning of pagan. How did that disprove me? And everyone else is just talking about different forms of paganism (aboriginal, ancient polytheism etc).
Im not sure you understand. I didnt invite only those who rest within the category of dirt worshiping, tree hugging, many god loving people. I want this to be a place people dont have to deal with people telling them what to get on their knees for
Did I ever say you did?
Heathen means pagan as well, but that particular word can also be used for only Asatru.
I guess you could say I'm . . . what? Nothing, really. I believe in God, but not because anyone tells me to or because I was raised to. Actually, I grew up without any religion at all, which makes my belief kind of strange. I love reading about other religions and how their beliefs developed and all that kook, though. I'm a myth/culture fan, I suppose. As for spirits and demons and things, I'm more of a "have to see to believe" sort of person. I'm not a hard-core skeptic though; I do believe such things are possible. Anyone else out there like that?
*raises hand* I'm a Wiccan, well, I'm training to be one. Solitaire. . .
I was raised an Atheist, and my family still is, but I've turned to Wicca. Not having something to believe in doesn't help me and I find Christianity a bit laughable. Wicca fits.
I'm new to it, so I'm welcome to any advice/words of wisdom you might have.
I'm Wiccan, though I mostly lean towards Dianic Wicca.
I respect and feel connected to Nature/Mother Earth , I love animals, I like to sit under trees and read , look at the stars at night while sipping a glass of wine , enjoy open minded people that dont act like assholes, love spending time with my family...I dont need a church to know its all good and beautiful.
Hmm, religion is to be both admired and admonished in my view, as 4 pagan ideals and ideology I say "The fool say in his heart there is no God", So seek after the true and living one. mrgreen mrgreen
You guys do realize that pagan is the rude term fo anyone who is not abrahamic?
it used to mean someone who lived out in the countryside and was not very civilized but the meaning changed and the abrahamics (mainly the christians) moprhed it into a derrogrative term for anyone who did not believe in god etc
I... don't really want to label myself. smile
I don't belong to an Abrahamic faith. I choose to align my life with the ebb and flow of the earth and in the universe in which she spins. If this makes me Wiccan, Pagan, a witch, whatever... *shrugs* so be it.
Anyway, to answer Seamus's question about Samhain...
Last year I went to my favorite crossroads and left a small offering and a lit tealight in a bell-jar. I left a wooden spoon for my flatmate's granddad who passed over 20 years ago, a crossword puzzle for my grandpa who passed over 10 years ago, and three buckeye nuts for another friend's mom who had passed only a week before. Unfortuantely, the cops chose that night to come drive past multiple times and made me extinguish my candle. If I had told them it was a "pagan" ceremony of rememberance, I'd have been hauled off in irons. *snort* this year... I will bake goodies, drink Witch's Brew wine from Leelanau Cellars, and partake in decadent desserts at a nice restaurant while dressed as Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist. I haven't decided what I'm going to do observance-wise. I'm going to throw a few tarot spreads, and perhaps partake in some midnight love divination. wink
(o0o)/ hi, I just strayed in here on a whim. It intrigues me the different definitions of paganism. I myself was taught/raised Wicca/Wiccan, But don't really consider it a religion, more just my way of life, and who I am.
Anywhos, how is everyone?
