TRANOiD I has a suggestion for this... lulz! http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Sidekick ~~ for how awful City of Heroes was, this was a really good system and I always wish they would have added something like this to WoW because Max is a dirty casual who sucks at leveling alliance. Same. I ******** LOVED that sidekick feature, one of the best things CoH had going for it.

All those bosses are going to be new encounters. Blue post about it: Quote: Onyxia is an exception. That's to commemorate the five-year anniversary of World of Warcraft. The bosses familiar to you that will make another appearance in Cataclysm won't necessarily involve re-tuned, repeat encounters. Also, if you HATE this expansion, please don't bother posting in this thread. This topic is for discussion of the expansion. Topics like "XXX sucks" don't add anything to the conversation. (This isn't a World of Warcraft guild because we want to get together and bash the game). (This is mostly an in-advance notice... Most of what has been posted is fine, I just want to make it clear before it escalates any further).

I'm honestly quite disappointed. In recent months I have become quite bored with WoW. I do like that you can now use flying mounts in Azeroth. I would like to play goblin because I've always wanted to, but as far as content goes, I'm not a raider and I don't have time to see most of the stuff they put in, besides the stuff they did to Azeroth, which is just putting some chasms and water in. The underwater city will be neat. I just feel like it will be more of the same, though.

I'm excited and let down at the same time.. it seems to me like they're just making to game more appealing to kids and morons. Was learning to stack in certain stats THAT hard for people? Seriously? stressed

I don't know about you guys, but I'm excited to try out goblin!
And as for all the huge changes... some of them seem kind of iffy, but I know that there's know point in bitching now, because later ill learn to love them.

I spent a lot of today in the general discussion on the WoW forums.. big mistake.
When I wasn't laughing my a** off at some of the dumb s**t people say I was cackling over the lore arguments.
Alliance questioning and arguing about the loss of some of their land, Horde questioning and arguing about the loss of a couple of their leaders.
Personally, I'd rather lose auberdine and southshore than lose Thrall and possibly Cairne.
Still not convinced about Cairne being killed...
Another thing I spotted was people asking why Sylvanas is being killed off (again).. my favourite thing was asking if Arthas was going to be the new king of Undercity or if it's a case of since Arthas was the one to bring Sylvanas back if his death in Icecrown means she's going to die again. rofl

Yeah, I'm definitely disappointed. They practically turned Enhancement Shamans into Ret Pala's, they gave Locks an instant soul fire, and Priests get a non-cd nuke? And Nelf Mage are a fail. Doesn't arcane wielding Night Elves go against the lore... Wow. Much fun.
I was also disappointed to see that Mages got the s**t end of the expansion, once again. =|
BUT. I will be very excited to play a Morgen Mage. (: I'm excited to see the casting animation, and the way the Worgen will transform from human to wolf or w/e it is. biggrin
I love how BC didn't come out for years after WoW, but not even a year later and they're talking about another expansion for Wotlk. =|

Exactly, they're just getting our hopes up and they're probably going to be tons of changes to this initial announcement by the time it's released.
After all, it probably won't be for at least another year.
The raid on Icecrown Citadel isn't even released yet, after all =S ...And may Sithis have mercy on your soul.

I don't get the whole complaint about them redoing azeroth instead of adding a new continent.
If they added a new continent you'd get like what... 6 new zones or something to level in that are new. And nothing else.
By redoing azeroth not only are they adding 7 new zones (Twilight Highlands, Mount Hyjal, Deepholm, Uldum, Gilneas, The Lost Isles, Sunken City of Vash'jir) and making an old place better with flying mounts (since we go there for AH and such), but they're making lots of changes to places we've known for so long. So we get to see a lot of cool changes to old places so that some of them seem like new zones (like half of barrens will seem new and will be 80+ content), while getting the new content of new zones.
And there's always the upside that now we don't have to take a boat/portal to go back and forth between the new zones and and the old world for AH and such.
