The cool water bottle eased the newly formed head ache to a barely noticeable buzz. It remained there as Ash made the trek back to her seat, eyeing some of the strange beings. Her nose had stopped bleeding and she felt much better from a nice face rinse from the water bottle in hand.
The pool was livening up. The DJ was playing some pretty good music that she couldn't help but bob her head to. She walked slowly to the beach chair that held her sprawled out bag and sketch book. She stood idle as she strained her eyes to see the sketch in the bright sunlight. It appeared to be smudged and runny. I know I'm no artist, but the sketch doesn’t have to run away from me! She chuckled as she picked up the damp sketch pad, closed it, and tucked it neatly into her bag.
The pool had many more of these floating creatures, each different from one another. Some where more formed than others, and this intrigued her. She hummed the beat of the song playing as she decided to single out a person to talk to. She noticed a violet haired young woman sitting alone looking through her bag. Perfect! She cracked a mischievous smile and walked over towards the woman. She approached her calmly and spoke to her quietly, which isn't her usual energetic nature, "Excuse me, Do you by any chance have any sunscreen?"

On top of the guilt she was already feeling, Ebony felt more so at how she'd just left Aphi and Rong Wei to what could only be an awkward conversation between complete strangers. Her frustration with herself was painfully obvious by the way the violet vixen furiously rubbed sun tan lotion into her skin. It wasn't until the strong scent of coconut hit her nostrils did she realize she'd grabbed the wrong bottle and was using the tanning oil instead.
Closing her eyes and sighing heavily, Ebony tried to calm down. 'Relax...you are suppose to be having a good time.' she thought before continuing to oil the rest of her skin. There was no sense in letting it go to waste after all.
Ebony squinted as she looked up at the person who was speaking to her. They didn't look familiar, was she a guardian or guardian to be? "Uh...yeah sure, hold on." She replied before digging through her bag to find that elusive bottle of sunscreen.
"Ah! Here we go!" Ebony smiled in triumph and handed the lotion over to the dark haired girl. "I'm Ebony by the way. What's your name?" Maybe speaking to someone new would help get her mind off of regret.

Varun's eyebrows shot up again, trying to figure out what, exactly Dome'lo 'could not' do. Other than say his name, which was rather annoying, because that was his name and should be said correctly. He held vibrant yellow wings out stiffly, fixing the unicorn with a sharp gaze before offering him a grunt and a nod. He had apologized. This was good. Still wary, though no longer offended, he inclined his head. "Learn. Hard? Not so much. Practice? Lots." Sometimes he had to sound things out over and over before Kinsey told him he was saying it right, harder was actually using the words correctly.
His gaze flickered back to LuLu, a smile tugging on the corner of his lips at her reply. Friends! The hint of a grin was gone in a flash, if you blinked, you'd miss it, and he was already considering the suggestions. Tipping his head, he offered a hand to LuLu.
"Play, not want?" He frowned, wings and fins snapping open when a splash of water hit him from the side. Varun inhaled sharply and gave Domo what could only be termed a 'look' before sea green eyes widened. Ahh! "Yes, yes! That! Like that!" he babbled, floating closer to the water's edge. "Play with water. Not in. LuLu? Not make in. No drown." He glanced at Domo and offered an encouraging nod, trying to get him to play along. "Can play with, not in."
Kinsey, who'd been occupied setting herself up at a nice chair, finally glanced back up, surprised to see her charge had already found someone else to bother. She didn't recognize the other Raevan, but LuLu and Varun seemed to be chatting him up pleasantly. The leviathan's wings were still held out stiffly, she noted with a sigh, but at least he wasn't acting very aggressive. She waved once, letting the redhead know where she was in case he decided he wanted one of the toys she'd brought along in the bag, and settled down onto the chair to supervise.

"Oh how rude of me! My name's Ash, it's nice to meet you." She gave a coy smile and took the sunscreen out of Ebony's hands. She took her time squirting and lathering the lotion onto her sun burnt shoulders. This is why I don't wear tank tops! She laughed, handing the bottle back and stood there rubbing the back of her neck.
"Um, sorry. I'm not too good with small talk. But do you know the person who started this party, I kind of came uninvited..." she glanced down to her feet, trying to hide the embarrassment on her face. Ash didn't like to intrude in other peoples parties, but with the temptation of free food, good music, and a pool, she couldn't pass it up! These floating creatures where just a plus.

"Nice to meet you too Ash." she replied, watching the girl smooth the lotion on some skin that already look burnt to begin with. The Brit was sort of glad she already had a natural tan to begin with, yet burning was no fun no matter the degree of it. She felt sorry for the girl a tad then.
Uninvited? Ah, well then that answered the question of her being a guardian or not. Ebony could simply just tell her, but she'd rather have a little fun first. Quirking a brow, the glint of mischief in her grey eyes, as she took the sunscreen back. "Oh you did, did you? Well maybe I ought to get some security out here then seeing as I am the host."

Ash's eyes widened in shock. Out of all the people here, she had to find the owner first! And worse yet, she seemed angry. "S-security?" she stuttered and start to fidget. Wincing at the thought of being forcibly dragged out of a pool party, she shifted from one foot to the other trying to think of something to say. An excuse? No, I'm not a good liar... She looked up at Ebony and a twinge of guilt struck her, and she lowered her eyes again.
"But... Um... I... Ash was failing miserably at an attempt to redeem herself and instead she was digging a deeper hole. She didn't want to keep the violet haired person in front of her waiting so she blurted out the only thing she could think of, "But it was so very hot! Could you let me off with a warning? I'm sorry! I'm sorry! There's no need for security, I can leave on my own... It's just that I saw this place from across the street and- Oh no, I'm rambling! I'm so sorry! I-I-I'll just shut up now..." her swift hand came up to cover how own mouth from continuing to make her seem... Strange, well, stranger. If her skin were lighter and not already sun burnt, a blush would be apparent on her face.

Lucia seemed to be jumping subjects, unable to ask what she really wanted to ask. When Rivener’s warm fingers left her hair she gently shook her head, letting her raven black hair dance in the hot air. It shone in the sun and she ran her fingers through it to smooth it down. Her eyes followed Rivener’s outstretched finger as he pointed at the strange raevans. She considered their appearances from afar. Another raevan with fuzzy ears? Pushing her sunglasses up and resting them above her bangs on the top of her head she cocked her head to the side. ”No. I haven’t met them. Want to introduce me?” She floated up and away so that Rivener could get up too and smiled as she slightly grasped the straw for her slowly diluting drink between her lips. How cool would these other raevans be?
Yuurei let out a youthful laugh as she managed to pull Josh into the water. The blonde went to stick her tongue out at the boy and immediately felt the sting of chlorine entering her eyes and mouth. With the abrupt shrill of the lifeguard’s whistle, Yuurei didn’t manage to get a splash in herself, but she did spin quickly around before Josh could splash her face again. Biting her lip mischiveously, Yuurei dove into the water, flipped underwater and swam under Josh, grabbing his foot and pulling him under briefly before letting him go and surfacing. ”Ha! You deserved that one. And don’t get us in any more trouble with you shenanigans!” she playfully scolded before swimming to the edge and resting her arms on the side so she didn’t have to swim to hold herself up. ”But you’re right. It is nice in here.” She laughed at her own teasing.

The Brit laughed as she saw the girl flail about trying desperately to appeal to Ebony's kinder side. She would have tried to make the rouse last longer, but Ash just looked so pathetic and slightly frightened, so she gave it up right then and there.
Waving her hands to get the girl's attention, "Hold your horses there mate, I was only bluffing!" Smiling and trying to reign in her chuckling, "I'm sorry I couldn't help myself. You have no worries. I'm not kicking you or anyone out unless I have to. There were specifically invited folks, but the pool's still open to the public. As long as everyone gets along, I'm fine with the mingling."

Domevlo remembered he was not to go into the pool, for whatever reason he didn't question but he would definitely demand and answer from his guardian later. At least for now splashing water on the other two was fun and they didn't seem to mind too much. He was mindful not to get too carried away as it seemed Lulu wasn't very comfortable with water. "Play with water, not in, yes!" Domo informed liking the idea more and more. "Lulu play with, not in yes?" He encouraged turning gold eyes upon Varun to help with encouraging Lulu.
Meanwhile, Xan had returned with a towel drapped around his neck, his trademark stetson on his head and a pair of swim trunks. Tossing his cloths in the bag Domo had brought he smiled upon Kuna with a lazy grin. "Thank you kindly for watching the kid. No blood shed I see." He chuckled looking toward the unicorn. Seemed he was getting to know some of the others. This was a good thing but there was always a calm before the storm, he just hoped this wasn't a storm at all. "Would you like some sun screen?"

It was actually sort of fun to watch the three interact really. Kuna guessed from what little she heard of their conversation that they were all rather young, for their speech was no where near as advanced as the conversation being held just off to the side of her. So, is the one with the stomach older than the rest then? she wondered to herself. Or simply different? The green-haired woman was interrupted from her musings by Xan's return. "Sun screen? Ah, I suppose that would be wise, wouldn't it." It seemed like such an obvious thing now that he had said it, yet it was one of the few things the fair-skinned woman had forgotten to bring with her. "Yes, thank you. I appreciate it."

Ash let out a long sigh, the host didn't seem too bad! Even if she did trick her. But as quick as she had relax, she tensed up again. I just acted like an idiot! She nervously ran her fingers through her hair only to get it stuck. She had forgotten that her hair was in a ponytail, and with all her effort, she tried to make it seem as she had done that to take her hair out down.
Her dark hair fell just to her shoulders with a silky bounce. She brushed her bang away from her eye so that she could get a better view of Ebony and her surroundings. She shifted to a more comfortable position so that the sun wasn't beaming directly on her back. An awkward laugh was all she could muster up at the moment, until she got up the courage to ask about the party guest.
"So, Ebony, who...What...are the guest you have invited. If I may be so bold to ask." She smiled shyly, but her eyes lit up with interest as she waved her had in the direction of the party goers, lingering more on the floating guests.

With one last laugh, the woman stretched greatly before slipping some dark shades on over her eyes and leaned back in her lounge chair to soak up that bright sun. She wouldn't last long though with it beating down the heat like it was, but for now she was content on staying put and idly making chit chat with this stranger. Odd...wasn't she normally awkward in these situations? When had she come to be relaxed in such company?
"Who would be friends and associates. What well...that's dependent on who you're speaking of. For the most part, I believe many are of the human race while the floating torsos you are probably bugging your eyes out at..." It was then that Ebony slipped her shades down ever so slight to see if what she had said was true about the girl. Indeed, she seemed memorized by them. Ebony smirked and pushed her glasses back up, "...well, those would be the Raevans."

"Raevans..." The word danced on her tongue. It made her giddy just thinking about them! Learning and studying them.... But that was for a different time, now was the time to mingle and meet new friends! She pried her eyes from the Raevans and sat on a chair next to the violet haired woman. Ebony had probably caught her eyeing them, but that might've not been so strange for new people she met. Ash shifted her position, crossing her legs and leaning back to face the glaring sun. It warmed her body and she sighed in content before closing her eyes and addressing the woman next to her.
"This is quiet an enjoyable party. The DJ is playing so pretty good music, by any chance did you give him your favorite songs? Or mine?" She laughed, glancing to Ebony for a reaction, hoping that Ebony's impression of her wasn't already scared from her early incident.

A murmur of acknowledgment came from the Brit when the girl tried the new vocabulary out. She'd geared up for answering more questions about them, but was side-tracked when Ash instead sought a new venue of conversation. "Mmm, no, not mine. I just told him to play whatever was good." Ebony sat up again momentarily to look towards the DJ, currently busy messing with his equipment and rocking to the beats he played. She smiled and offered a small wave to him.
"He's the professional after all. I trust his...judge...ment..." Her speech slowed to a halt as something else distracted her train of thought. A silver haired Adonis sporting a Stetson hat. "...hot damn...who's that?" She couldn't help gawking slight at him. He was so...well for lack of a better word, he was hot!

"I hope I'm not being too forward but I could put some on your back for ya if you don't mind." He offered with a lazy grin, eyes half trained on his charge before fully turning his attention to Kuna. Though he did feel fairly awkward for asking it just didn't seem right to offer sun screen if she missed other areas. Of course as he asked this he put a bit on himself giving Kuna bit of time to consider the idea and put the lotion on other areas for herself. "Ya know I haven't introduced ya to the kid yet, when he gets a little tuckered out I'll be sure to do so."
It was probably at this time he felt eyes upon him before he turned his own Persian mint orbs to gaze over the area before falling on the Brit. A low blush crept along Xan's cheeks for a brief moment. Not much for the attention but always polite just the same. He would have offered a verbal greeting but opted for tipping his hat just as he smoothed the excess lotion from his hands onto his arms.
