 ♥Emma Donally ♥Standing up after sitting for a long time, Emma heard a howl and knew that it wasn't good. She gazed out over the water andlaced her fingers together.
"May you sail fair,
To the far fields of fortune*
With diamonds and pearls,
At your head and your feet. . ."
She continued to sing such a sweet tune, one that soothed and calmed her very nerves since she could feel fear creeping upon her, and fear could turn into hate, and then into destruction and chaos.

 Her head was killing her, and when she opened her eyes, the light made it worse. Groaning, she forced herself to sit up. However, what her hand touched wasn't her normal sleeping place. 'What on Earth? Vines? What happened, and where am I?' Then, in a rush, it all came back to her. A brother... But surely, that couldn't be. "Why?" she whispered.

Her head snapped up when he spoke to her, she hadn't realized he was still there. "How can you be my brother? I don't remember you."

"You wouldn't. We didn't really spend much time around each other. Dad took you to the Thorn Tribe, and mom kept me in the Rose Tribe." Ilia said.

"I had a mom and dad too?" She looked at him full on then, the next question the most important to her. "What happened then? How was I tortured? Why? If I had a family..."

"Yeah..."Ilia looked at her for a second. "Our dad...didn't want anyone to know what he had done. He had betrayed his Tribe having you and I. He hired some Thorn members to torture memories out of you, and give you new ones. They implanted a mental block in your mind while torturing you, blocking memories of the torture itself and of mom and I.As for why...I've never understood how dad could've done that...just leaving us like that. He left you, too, right after your induction into the Thorn Tribe. He went to the mountains and comitted suicide. A couple of days later..." Ilia choked on the words. "So did mom."

Her world was being turned upside down, and all she could do was hang on for the ride. Her eyes started to water when she learned that her parents were dead. How hard was it for her brother to know that she didn't remember him when they were the only one's left? She didn't want to hurt her brother... Not now that she knew she had one. "Is there anyway to remove the block?"

She looked up at him for a moment, then shook her head.
"I need to remember, even if it's painful. I have to!"
Her eyes were pleading with him, and she hoped that her brother would understand. Though the term brother was entirely new to her, and she couldn't wuite grasp it yet. Then, something he said rang in her ears.
"You said that because our parents were from different tribes you had the mark from both. Is the same true for me?"

Daren
Daren didn't care about the borderline. He just bounded right into Heart Tribe territory. He heard singing and went right towards the noise, considering this a sign of weakness. He stepped into view of her and snarled, drool dripping from his fangs.

♥Emma Donally ♥ Emma's eyes flickered to the beast and did not give a look of fear, but only a small smile. "And straight into the lion's den he went." She said and approached Daren anyways, unfearful of what he may do. "Control by so much anger and hate. You thirst for blood, but there shall be none spilt today." She stopped a few feet from him, her blue icy were sharp, but kind.

Daren's eyes narrowed. This girl seemed to have no fear. He reached out to her mind. You have no fear. Or at least that's what it seems. I could rip you into shreds now or play with you a bit. He grinned widely.

Besides, I am a leader, and learning to live without fear is something I must do." She looked at him, her gaze calmed. "Tear me up if you will, but what will you gain from it?
