This was it, wasn't it? The young adult pursed his lips thoughtfully as he stepped forward, somber and meek eyes looking up towards the Elder. There was a feeling of awe that struck him suddenly as he stared into Tawa'di's eyes- there was a great abundance of warmth there and the feelings that suddenly began to stir within the young adult were indescribable. Akea's eyes fleeted rather quickly for fear of staring too long and perhaps seeming disrespectful. He was so new to these lands that he remained cautious when performing the simplest of motions and gestures. Looking downward it was that his gaze again diverted towards something, this time it just so happened to be the small fire. As its petite flames flickered and danced Akea found himself knitting his brows. It were these tiny flames and its plume of spoke that would decide where he would go- the very clan of which he was best suited for. He swallowed. as Brows knitted together while a forepaw tapped its claws against the earth beneath, gripping and grasping onto whatever he could as he felt as if he was going to be thrown into something new, something unknown, and something that only made him feel all the more hesitant. For such an optomistic individual the male still had his vices and it just so happened that he was becoming somewhat insecure. Like others before him they had all spoken their names and voiced whatever else they felt impressed to say to Tawa'di and yet without a voice what was he to do?
Akea'kija fretted as his ears sank against his skull.
But just as dout and worry seemed to nearly sweep him off of his paws it seemed that something suddenly nipped at his mane and pulled, tugging free a generous sized lock. A corner of the males maw arched upward as he gritted his jowls, stifling a growl. Nervousness often caused him to become edgy and especially with feeling somewhat incomplete it only made the adult be more wary. But the nips intention was far from malicious or of fiendish origins- rather it was to retrieve a needed offering as well as reeling the male back into reality and out of his grim thoughts.
A chuckle broke free.
"Relax, tough guy. Ease up," Matokeo grinned, speaking as his jowls continued to hold the tuft of fur between his teeth. "We're in this together, remember?"
Asserting himself besides his friend, the maned wolf breathed deeply and exhaled. There was something in the air that was unlike anything else, or any place, which they had encountered. Something about the Ela felt more than just a new place to explore if only for a short while- no, this was home. Their home. Like many others it seemed that their restless paws had finally sought a place to belong, a place where they were a part of something greater. A broad smile stretched itself upon the maned wolf's maw as he lowered his head down and dropped the mass of mane to the ground. Likewise, Matokeo swayed his plush tail around and nipped at it, retrieving a generous offering. To think that soon they would wander no more was a dream come true, a surreal blessing! Perhaps it was here that Matokeo could at least coach his behemoth buddy in trying to be more open and less timid of others. Sure he had a lot of work ahead of him but the fun of it all was too hard to pass up.
Standing there, it seemed the two were beginning to realize that a new journey laid at their paws and their future was about to be decided. This was it.
Both lion and maned wolf stepped forward as they nudged their offerings in tow.
"Akea'kija," the mane wolf pointed towards the lion, "and I'm his accomplice, Matokeo. We thank you both for giving us a place to call our own." It was short and sweet but he, and Akea, meant it from the bottom of their hearts. "Although I'll apologize in advance if he talks you're ear off. It's a bad habit of his," the maned wolf added, a grin all but plastered upon his maw while Akea didn't look the least bit amused as he rolled his eyes and sighed, shrugging it off.
Stepping closer, Akea nosed at the offering and gently brushed it closer to Tawa'di. As he rose his head upwards the male swallowed as he again stared into his eyes. He wasn't having much luck with trying to keep from psyching himself out. But it seemed that the ill thoughts which were constricting his mind were loosened and a feeling, a wonderful sensation, flooded him. Peace seemed to soothe what secretly ailed him and trust seemed to slowly weave its reassuring thoughts back into his scattered mind. Yes. This would be the beginning of a new chapter. Lowering his head with respect, Akea'kija stepped back.
He was ready.

((Whew! Made it on, and it's open! *slings posts out* x_x Sorry for hassling you with PMs now, Saf! Wasn't sure I'd make it back.))
The buzz of excitement filled Uidan Fyja as he took his place in the line that wove through the crowd of strangers to Tawa'di. It had been a long and winding road that had gotten him so far, one he did not regret for the sorrows it held. For a moment he began to wonder...but then it was his turn and he pushed the worry from his mind. Whatever forces there were in this world had led him here for a reason. This would be his home, his family to replace the one he'd lost and left behind. He stepped up to the great lion in silence, thought respect shone through his eyes.
"I am Uidan Fyja." His words were mumbled, and the reason was clear as he gave his offering--a tooth, recently shed as young teeth were wont to do while on the hunt. It had cracked off against the leg bone of his most recent meal, he'd kept it simply to have it, but now it seemed the ideal offering. It had already been replaced by a larger fang to befit his age, but the root end was still stained with a touch of blood. "I will go where you lead me."
After the adolescent lion moves from the fire to join his new clan, the next came up. Ohitekah was not nearly as quiet as he neared the Tawa'di. He wasn't necessarily loud (he didn't actually say anything) but there was a sort of energy about him that made him somehow seem to come across as being noisy. He offered the lion an eager grin, along with his name. "I'm Ohitekah! Give me to your best, if you don't mind!" He chuckled, knowing that there was no 'best' clan...but he'd already decided that wherever he went, that one WOULD be best. He'd help do what he could to make it so.
His tail lashed side to side as he waited expectantly. A beat later it occurred to him that he hadn't offered anything. "Oh..." Sheepish, he twisted to catch his tail under a paw. With one tug he tore free a tuft of the long hair from the end. It only stung for a moment, and by the time it faded he'd know where he belonged.

There were so many lions here, so many that she'd never once seen in her entire life. Were there really this many lions in a pride or were there going to be? She supposed it was the latter, really. After all, she and Kwi were here to join the pride along with all of these stranger lions.
A gentle smile lit Shusui's muzzle. A place to belong that didn't involve battles or anger or warriors. A pride that didn't call her a lesser lioness just because she bore white on her body.
Closing her gentle blue eyes, Shu peered over at Kwi, the large golden and black barred lion that had helped her get this far in her life. That had helped her accept who she was and what she was.
Smiling in happiness, Shu walked forward with her mate beside her and pulled out the small red and green feathers that reminded her of her home amongst the warrior females and sat them before Tawa'di.
"My name is Shusui and this is my mate Wakhakwi, we came far to see if you would allow us a place to begin our lives... a safe place that our souls can be at peace." Shusui's voice ghosted from her snowy muzzle as she peered at the aging lion before her, a smile in her eyes and on her muzzle.
Things certainly were different here, that was for sure. Much different than the pridelands. Everyone was marked with swirly designs for one, or at least everyone that appeared to be from the Ela as it was. The newer lions weren't by a long shot.
Wakhakwi had come far to prove to his new mate that there was a place where she would be accepted and loved just as he loved her. It was a hard thiing for Shusui to accept in her life, being that she'd been a lower class lion in her previous pride. Again a bristle was sent down the large lion's spine.
How could any lion so sweet be considered less? Her heart was as big as any lions, the color of her fur didn't matter, it was what was inside that made her and if it took Kwi a lifetime or more to prove that to her he would.
Green eyes caught sight of another pair of lions that he had known, one at least all his life. A goofy grin crossed his face for his older brother. Dongo probably didn't know what he was getting himself into yet, since the two of them still called one another 'friends'.
Maybe Kwi would explain it to him sometime. And they called him the innocent one.
Stepping forward on one black paw, Wakhakwi pulled a tuft of his own tail fur out and sat it down on top of the feathers. He smiled cheerily for Tawa'di and plopped himself beside Shu.
"I'm Wakhakwi and I won't go anywhere that Shusui doesn't go. My fate's already spoken for." he winked at the older lion and intertwined his tail with his mate's.

Rubani watched first his parents and then his various siblings approach the aging lion. He watched many others also, observed what they offered him. A lot of things in life were 'observations' to Rubani. Things to absorb and think over and use later if need be. He'd sat very patiently and just waited until the time felt right to him. Everything was measured with Rubani - he never rushed unless it was called for, he was never slow unless he needed to be. He just seemed to carry a certain air about him, a certain gravitas that made him a calm influence and a dependable lion.
His siblings all said he was 'boring.'
He pulled himself up, clasping some of his ebon dark fur in his mouth and approached Tawa'di with measured steps. Like every pawprint was going to count for something. Standing before the elder nvwati, Rubani bowed in respect and then offered the tuft of black fur.
"I am Rubani," he began, with a quick glance back to his family. "I wish to see where the spirits would have me go."
It was a big step for Rubani, he still felt the tugs of family but this wasn't goodbye forever. They were still all apart of a greater thing here but it was time he took steps down his own path now.

Joining the many who waited for official direction as to their clan amongst the ela, Binti was feeling far less edgy than she had been the last time she'd spoken to Tawa'di--after all, that had been her official request to join the pride...as far as she was concerned, this was a formality...one she observed out of a respect that she'd formed, first for the lioness who'd left her to raise a passel of cubs as best she good within traditions she hadn't fully understood, and then later for the pride itself, where she'd finally started to feel as though she was at home.
She held her head high, posture both relaxed and watchful--even while paying close attention to the ceremony, her eyes flicked lightly across the surrounding landscape, a habit she'd never quite broken herself of. Satisfied that nothing unusual was about, she stepped towards the elder lion, the beginnings of a small grin playing at the corners of her mouth.

Tawa'di's eyes focused on Chuma for only a moment. Nodding, he let his gaze linger back to the fmales, brushing a little dirt around the edges to keep the flame within its boundaries.
"I've already seen your parents, as well as your sister," he said calmly. You seem mildly unsure of yourself." He glanced up at her again, reading into her eyes. "I am to assume that because you have no offering, you are unsure of where your heart lies. Go, stay with your parents in the Bird Clan. You will be safe there, as you would anywhere, but the comfort of parents is something irreplaceable."

(whoops, went out of order. so sorry!)
Tawa'di was surprised at the abruptness of the lioness that was next. She had dropped in the offering herself, which left little time for the old lion to read what it said about her. He only caught glimpses, a bit of emotions from the past. It was confusing to him, but then he didn't have the same mindset as Hanaa.
"You have had a trouble time, Hanaa." His brows furrowed as the last bit of smoke disappeared in the air. "Your home is here, but where you belong is with the Earth Clan. There, you will find yourself, and love yourself. Go, and keep your head held high with pride."

Tawa'di took a moment to shift himself, feeling not the tug of fatigue, but another. It was emotionally exhausting being in this trance, doing his best to judge each lion that came before him carefully. He knew that Mana was nearby to keep an eye on him, but there was really little anyone could do if something happened to him.
He looked up at the next girl, a small smile that seemed to glow through her eyes. He nodded, taking the lock and dropping it carefully into the pile, a bit of herbs mixing with it quickly. Ohhh. This girl had a secret within her, and he wondered if that was the look in her eyes. No need to mention it outright, as it was her secret to keep. He perhaps would mention it to the alu'nadi of her clan, so no surprises would spring on them.
"Laazizi, you have been here for some time. And now you are ready to call this your true home. You will be welcome into the Wolf Clan, as well as everything about you. Keep that smile, even if things grow dark. It will pull you through those times and keep you strong."

(I fail at going in order. sorry! ;; )
Tawa'di was mildly surprised at the next lion to approach him. While he considered anyone younger than himself a child, it was obvious that this next one was not so. He held enough age within him that Tawa'di offered a slightly deeper bow to him in acknowledgement.
He blinked at the offering, surprised at it, and wondering what it directly meant. He never was one to ask questions that shouldn't be asked, so he merely brushed it into the fire, watching as the flames worked vigorously to consume the claw. It took a while for it to start, but as soon as it was caught, the smoke began to swirl upwards into the sky.
It told little of the past, and mostly of a lion who wanted a new home. A place to start anew where no questions were asked. He understood that much, even if he had never felt the urge to do so himself.
"Amrun. Your strength will be much cherished, as well as what is in your mind. Go to the Sky Clan, and share all that you can. You are welcome here, as I am sure your heart accepts this face."

Tawa'di was amused at the pair that had approached him next. They were certainly a pair, as they had unspoken words go between them as they approached. He gathered up their offerings quickly, brushing them into the fire. The fur melted together, burning as the smoke intertwined tightly. They had been together for a long time, and they would continue to be together.
"The two of you are together still, and continue on. You will live within the Sky Clan together, and with that friendship you will be sure to find more. Go, and find your new life here in your true home."

Tawa'di nodded at the next one to approach, and adolescent. There were few within their ranks, but Tawa'di was honestly pleased. They were still growing, and always impulsive, never quite knew what they wanted to do with their life. He had seen it many times, so to see one so determined to have a home at such a changing age was a rarity.
He brushed the baby tooth into the fire, watching it take a little time to catch and burn. It made a different scent, but adding in a little more herbs covered the distinct scent. He watched the smoke carefully, making sure that the right judgement of where he was to be came to pass for the youth.
"Uidan Fyja, child, you belong in the Bird Clan. Go there, where your heart belongs. You will go strong within these lands."

(I'm assuming you wanted him rolled!)
Tawa'di took the offering quietly, bemused about how vocal the tan lion was. Well, he would certainly spice up the life of his clan when he got there. Sprinkling the long hair around the flames, more of it had already shriveled by the time it hit the flames. They danced as the smoke swirled upwards, seeming to seperate outwards. Interesting. He may affect many in the future, or he already had in the past.
"Ohitekah, your vocal energy belongs with the Shadow Clan, where you will always be one to remember. Respect the clan, and you will recieving much joy in the future."

The couple approaching him now was a very sweet scene. While he had seen two previous ones before, there was something different between them. Not new...but it was something along those lines.
He offered them both a nod, taking their offerings one at a time. Carefully, he made sure that the two burned together, the feathers with the hair, as it was meant to be when a mated couple wanted to join together. The smoke swirled together, mimicking what he had seen previously. Indeed, lifemates.
"Shusui. Wakhakwi. Your hearts have shown me that you are pure to one another, to spend your lives together. The home you wish for is here, within the Bird Clan. Go together, as you will for the rest of your lives." He offered a smile to them.

Tawa'di nodded at the adolescent that had approached him. It had seemed that much of the family had decided to seperate. Though, that was the wrong term to consider it. They were still all in the same pride. They would not see each other every day, but they would still be able to see each other when desired. A visit wasn't too far away if it was desired.
"Admirable," he commented before placing the fur into the flames. They had grown more since the last time he had noticed. Licking up the fur quickly, it was a very easy reading. A level mind was rare in one so young, and the old lion could only wonder how he would be when he grew into a full-fledged adult.
"Your home is within the Wolf Clan, Rubani. Your strong mind will be needed there, and you will be there to be the support that is needed."
