instently his wing shot forward, bating the boy away from him almost instinctively. without so much as blinking he spoke to the girl, ignoreing the boy easily. " drink from you. i doupt he would kill you, or your mother for that matter.. he's going to alot of trouble to get you." shifting his weight he simply grabed hold of the wall under him, his talons clicking with a deadly ring against the stone.
" Tweety.. nice name for him." Vail mused, moveing closer to them. though he spoke to Seth he flicked a glance at Hawk, open hatred in his gaze. pauseing he lifted his arm, rolling up the sleave to show five long scars on his skin. " you will pay for this.. but please, dont get up." he added as the crusnik moved to rise. " spreading rumers is a very rude thing to do." expecialy when they are true..

in a smooth motion she was up, shifting to her demon form before her feet even hit the ground. teeth bared she lifted her wings sightly, braceing herself to attack. the odd thing was the wing closest to Hawk twitched, cliping his chin in payment for what he did to Seth. pushing her mind at Seths she growled. the vampires afraid of him, its better to keep him on our side while we can.. she said this mainly because she was afraid of the vamp.. and for her mother. unless she could get a connection to her.. she was likely to take out half the city in her rage.

Seth sighed and said. "As you wish." He drew his revolver and stood at the ready. The good thing about being conected with Salazar and Ocelot was he had learned thier methods of battle. "If only I had a claw"

arching an eyebrow he made a scooting gesture, his gaze fixed on the demon. " best run, children.. less i become tempted to steal her now." he smirked, saying in a bemused tone. " of course, dear Tweety here would--" his words cut off as Hawk slamed into him, talons tearing into flesh and cloth alike in a deadly sweeping motion. kicking himself free he growled, tearing into the bird man. catching his wing he snapped it back wards, listening to the crack with a sadistic glee. " just.. die already.. damn it.."
they broke appart at that, Hawk's wing hanging limply while the other flexed threateningly. he gave no indication he hurt, nor did he respond to the mans words though lines of strain edged his eyes. he couldnt shift until he set his wing, and until he did he couldnt tear the vampires heart out. though he never moved, he seemed to suddenly focuse on Seth.. his unhurt wing raiseing slightly to give the boy a full shot of the vampire.

Seth aimed his revolver and fired all six rounds at him. Then not willing to let his ability go to waste he shot a large jet of fire at the vampire. "Burn burn burn"

Zai had been sitting silently in the shadows, observing what was going on... it did not interest her much, but it didn't seem like a good idea to leave, or risk being tracked down... luckily, they had not noticed. And even if they did, she was naught of concern.

Vail screeched a loud inhuman sound, his form blurring. the last image of him was eyes dark with pain and hatred, looking at them with pure malice. then he was gone, hardly a sound to signal his escape.
silently he moved to the wall, his wing dragging as he leaned against the cold stone. lifting his wing he gritted his teeth, ignoreing the sickening crunching sounds as he straitened it out fully along the wall. " always runs.. the SOB will trip one of these days.." by his tone it was clear.. the moment the vampire fell, Hawk would be waiting to rip his heart out.

hesitateing for a moment she nodded, though she moved towards Hawk. shifting to her human form she placed a gentle hand on his wing, offering a healing energy to sooth his pain. " thank you for trying to keep me safe." backing away she grabbed Seth's arm lightly, letting him lead the way. in a quieter voice she murmered to Seth. " thank you, too.. you didnt have to come after me."

" we need to find my mother.. her temper isnt something to cross." she seemed a bit more relaxed, and smiled slightly when she looked towards the graveyard. " she was in the tomb.. can we look there?"

Hawk relaxed as they left, shakeing his head in silent amusement. children were the same.. and he still disliked them greatly. tilting his head he studied his wing, looking broodingly at the blood stained feathers. this Vail vampire had marked him... this would be a fun hunt.

her voice startled him, Hawk spinning around and slaming his unhurt wing into the brick above her. he had been expecting an attack.. yet when none came he stood loosely, feet spred and arms at his sides warrily as he shifted his balance backward. after a few moments he narrowed his eyes, makeing an irritated whistleing sound as he turned back to setting his wing.
