Silver looked down at the young girl and couldn't help but smile slightly as he reached out and took the flower she was offering him. When she climbed up onto his lap he was surprised and thought about pushing her off and leaving. Silver's eyes looked away from the young girl to see Hazel enter the room and start talking. "It does seem that way doesn't it.." he replied as he looked back at the child sitting on his lap. After a moment of silence he faced Hazel again "So what do you think of all this. I am still new to the entire fact that there are others like me so I can't say, but what is your opinion of this Anfang character?"

Hazel sighed.. "I'm not sure.. He doesn't seem or give off any evil vibes. He may have an ultirior motive for rounding us all up, but I don't think it might be as extreme as others might think. I think it would be rather interesting to see us all working towards one goal. I've lived for too long and my sense of justice at times is the only thing that has kept me going.. It would be nice to not have to be on the run all the time..." The way Hazel spoke was as though it were thoughts that she were still trying to sort out.. But she figured that Silver would understand what she was thinking--at least for a little of it.
The little girl seemed comfortable enough with Silver that while he chatted with Hazel, she fell asleep in his lap..
Hazel couldn't help but smile slightly, "I think you would be good as a father someday.." Her compliment was more or less a fleeting thought of hers, but he seemed to need some sort of compliment..

Silver sighed as the child fell asleep in his lap. He was begining to get annoyed his discomfort showed clearly on his face. Silver had hoped that he would get to explore the new place they had been taken to before Anfang showed back up. Slowly he lifted the young girl up and stood up, then he carefully placed her back in the throne hopeing she didn't wake up. Silver then, ingoring Hazel's last comment, started towards the door. As he was about to exit he turned back to face Hazel "I am going to explore our new surroundings feel free to follow me if you want. Who knows what this Anfang might have hidden arround this place." Turning quickly back around he started towards the portals. As he neared them a thought pushed its way into his mind "Go to the top floor" the thought felt as though it wasn't his own but he brushed off the feeling and looked back to see if Hazel was comming or not.

Feeling as though the little girl would be alright left on the throne, she followed after Silver after having a strong gut feeling that she should follow him.. It was somewhat clear that Hazel seemed to always keep her composure, especially with the way she walked. She made it seem as though she weren't in a hurry to follow after him, though caught up easily. It was most likely something she had learned from another era--at least that's how it seemed..

He looked back slightly glad to see that Hazel was comeing with him to explore this place. Silver turned towards the portals and stepped through as if instictively the portals transported Silver and Hazel to the topmost floor of the fortress. As he stepped out from the portal his eyes widened at the vastness of the room they had stepped into. Although the room was dimely lit unlike the first floor it was far larger and rather empty as though no one had been to this floor in a very long time. Silver took a single step and dust was flung into the air causing him to cough for a second. He looked around the room and saw that its walls were littered with hand drawn pictures some of which looked like a young child had made them. With the dim lighting it looked as though some of the pictures watching them. The place did have a weird feeling about it, different from the calm he had felt on the first floor. For a second he thought he had seen some movement but figured it was only a trick of the eye caused by the flickering candle light. Only a few of the several hundred candles that were in the room were lit explaining why it was dark. He walked over to a candle took it from its stand and snapped his fingers making a small flame which he used to light the candle. Even with a single candle light more he was able to see that the room was more of a hallway and extended beyond the reach of the light. He felt himself getting excited as he thought of what could be hidden here that could tell them a little more about Anfang and if he has any hidden intentions. Silver looked back at Hazel "So what do you think? Want to look around this place?"

Hazel's eyes had followed whatever trick of the eye she felt when there was a blip of movement, though when Silver started talking, she replied, "I'm not one to wander off.. But.." Hazel paused for a moment and then added, "knowing your surroundings is one of the most basic rules of survival.." The room gave an odd feeling towards her.. it was something she felt as though she couldn't place her finger on. She wasn't sure if she liked the feeling or not.. This room, to her felt of a strange oddness and eerie that was not felt on the first floor.. Honestly though, she wasn't sure what floor they were actually on..

Silver nodded in response to Hazel's answer. He then turned away from her to face the darkness that extended beyond the candle light. After taking a last look in the direction that he had seen the movement he started to walk down the hallway. After walking for a few minutes Silver had begun to wonder if this floor was just a never ending hallway when he saw a glimmer of blue light shinning off in the distance. He quickened his pace still thinking that this floor could hold a secret of Anfang's. After a minute or so the hallway expanded into a room as large as a small stadium with the glowing light comming from the center. Silver stopped walking and looked around the vast room. The ceiling was now no longer visible and the walls were bare but scattered around the room were statues of strange creatures and humanoids some of the statues had fallen apart from not being maintained while others only had cracks or peices missing. As Silver's eyes glanced around the room they seemed to be drawn to the glowing light. Without even thinking about his legs moved him towards it. As he approached it the light began to pulse slightly as if senseing his presence. Soon he was able to see what the light originated from it was a huge saphire nearly as big as a person's head. Silver's eyes widened and he rushed forward till he stood next to it. The saphire was floating just above a pedistal made of some kind of clear crystal allowing the light to pass through it. Silver walked slowly around the gem noticing a small crack in one side showing a black core. He could tell that the strange feeling he had been getting since he had entered this floor was eminating from the crack. "I think that since this place has obviously not been visited in a long time I am guessing that Anfang never wanted anyone to come here." he said smiling. Silver once again had a thought that seemed not to be his own Take the gem. Don't leave something so valueable here to rot away for ever. He managed to look away from the gem and turned to Hazel "Mabey we should take the gem. After all, if it means anything to Anfang we could get some better information about his true goals." (sorry taking so long to post. Been very busy with graduation and work.)

"I do not think that taking it would answer our questions." Hazel seemed to avoid looking at it. "I think we should leave it be.. We only came to explore, did we not?" Hazel's old British accent seemed to surface.. "Honor is a code that I have lived by for a long time. If we were to take that which clearly belongs to Anfang, I would soil my honor." Hazel had made her way towards Silver. She was now tugging at his arm slightly hoping he would listen to her reason. "I think if we ask him he will answer honestly--though he might not tell us everything, I suppose you could ask him why, if you suspect that.." She then looked up, "I think we should go.. Don't touch it.. something about it screams danger to me.."

Silver frowned at Hazel's response and was about to pull away from her when he noticed a figure standing in the shadows behind Hazel. Just then a voice echoed through the chamber "You should listen to her Silver she is right about your questions and the danger that the object in front of you posseses." The figure then moved forward stepping into the light revealing a shimmering Anfang. "Anfang?" was all that Silver could say. Anfang smiled "I am not Anfang I am the Sanctuary. I am called the Caretaker. I am mearly here to offer my advice. As for that gem before you don't be fooled by it. It is a prison holding something very dangerous." Silver looked from the Caretaker to Hazel. He then backed away from from Hazel brushing her hand off his arm. A quick chuckle escaped his mouth as he looked at the gem "This just proves it Hazel! This just shows that Anfang doesn't want anyone to have this gem. Doesn't this just show that he will answer all of our questions truthfully if we take it?" Silver turned to the gem and grinned. Take the gem and show this place what you think of its warning echoed for a brief moment in his head before he reached out for the gem. As his hands grasped the huge saphire he felt a power surge through him like he had been struck by lightning. Silver's body tightened and his eyes grew wide as the gem's surface became immensely hot. Even with his control over fire this heat was unbareable. Without thinking he jerked his hands back from it flinging it through the air. The Caretaker sighed "You have made your own beds young one now you and your friend must pay for it." with that he fadded away. Silver now realized what he had done and his eyes widened. He rushed forward trying to catch the gem before it hit the ground. It hit the tips of his fingers only to fall to the ground and shatter. With an explosion of energy Silver was thrown back into the pedistal which had held the gem. The room went completely dark and Silver could feel a very powerful energy was now the dominate presence in the room. Suddenly the room was brightly lit as thousands of candles floating high above near the ceiling burst to life. Silver was nearly blinded by the sudden change in lighting. When his eyes ajusted he saw where the gem had shattered. The peices now looked like pale clear crystal similar to the pedistal. In the center of the shattered crystaline stood a hooded figure who was crouched over leaning on a cane. With a shaking hand the figure reached up and pulled back the hood showing the wrinkled face of a man who seemed to be in his late seventies. His misty blue eyes were clearly visible as he stared at Hazel and Silver. Silver knew that the energy was comming from this man but couldn't believe it he seemed so weak. Letting out a quiet groan of pain Silver lifted himself up rubbing his back which hurt badely from slamming into the pedistal. The old man smiled and spoke "Greetings Silver and Hazel, we have been expecting your arrival." Silver didn't know what to say and mearly looked at Hazel hopeing she would have some idea of what to do.

Hazel watched the event go and felt the need to transform. Just as Silver turned to look at her, she had moved in front of him, Keeping her eyes on the old man and keeping a combat ready stance, she said to Silver somewhat harshly, "You really don't like to listen do you.." Her tone, would have sounded frustrated and disappointed in Silver because that's clearly how she felt at the moment.

With his pride now hurting worse then his back Silver followed Hazel's actions and transformed as well. "I must apologize. I was not entirely myself at the time." He looked back at the old man and noticed that since they had transformed his smile had grown to a wide grin "We see now. Of course we now all know. Our time for retribution is within our hands. Yes, indeed they are certanly children of Father." Silver raised an eyebrow as the old man seemed to begin talking to himself. This guy is obviously crazy mabey that is why Anfang locked him up. Silver said to Hazel mentally. The old man stopped talking and his eyes changed to a sickly green color "We are guessing you want our names. Yes, you must always know your opponents name. So many, so many, what do we say, so many....." As he spoke he moved around as if talking and argueing with unseen beings around him. Suddeny he stopped moving and faced Hazel and Silver. His eyes flashed quickly to a bright red "We are Legion. For we are many." when he said this his voice echoed loadly off the walls of the room creating the appearance of the voice comming from all directions as if hundreds of people suddenly said the same thing at the same time. His eyes seemed to shift colors every couple of seconds now until they became an inky black color. "The less you see the more there is. What is it? Answer. They must answer us. It is Darkness. Quiet they must guess. Do not tell them, it is a riddle, they must answer themselves." The old man continued to talk to himself in this many for a short while. Silver became even more confused when the old man continued to speak to himself. When he gave his name Silver chuckled slightly at the we are many part. Dispite the energy the man gave off silver still didn't take him seriously. After all he looked like a single puch would kill him. The the man asked a riddle and for somereason gave the answer shortly after. Just to humor the man Silver answered "The answer to the riddle is darkness." The old man looked at Silver and the room grew eirely silent without his constant talking to himself. "We had forgotten about the both of you. You should have run from us while we were distracted. Now it is to late for you." Energy began to radiate from him covering the floor in dense purple fog that quickly covered the floor. As the fog rolled past Silver and Hazel they would only feel a burst of his energy as his he was preparing to transform. The room temperature suddenly spiked and the room began to feel like a sauna. "All that you know will soon be known by us." The old man said as his stature staightened and his cloak and hood he wore changed into armor. Suddenly the room was filled with the sounds of screaming souls of men and women, angel and demon alike. The screaming was comming from what looked like coporeal souls trying to claw themselves free from the now fully demonic looking Legion. Every once in a while a head or half a body would appear trying to leave Legions body then sinking back inside him unable to do so. Hands shot out of his body at random time intervals as if they were trying to grab onto somthing to pull themselve out, or pull what they grabbed into Legion to join them. When the transformation stopped so did the screaming and the souls reseded back into his body and Legion now stood there looking at his hands which now glowed a dark purple color. "We are truely free. This is not an ilusion of our father's." Now when Legion spoke it sounded as when he said his name, as if hundreds of voices were comming from his mouth speaking at the same thing all at once. Silver for the first time felt actual fear about the being that stood before him. He now knew that this would turn out to be a fight and not as easy as he had first expected it to be. Dispite the danger Silver couldn't help himself he looked at Hazel and said "Ladies first." Legion's appearance http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s42/Xeon15/Anima__Arbiter_Aizen.jpg

At first when Hazel saw the souls trying to escape, Hazel prepared herself as she prayed for the trapped souls silently. "Trapping those souls.. and using their power for your own... It is sickening.." She then focused completely at the battle at hand with her justified reason to fight the creature--to set those poor souls free. "Caretaker, are you still here? Why did Anfang imprison this creature rather than free the souls and destroy it?"

Caretaker's voice echoed through the chamber although it sounded like he was far away so it seemed like a soft whisper " I am always here Hazel. I am the Sanctuary." There was silence for a few seconds before Caretaker spoke again "Anfang couldn't kill this poor creature simply because it was one of his first children as he calls them. His first failed attempt at creating life, even he still doesn't understand why this creation turned out to be so different from the rest. And as for why he didn't set the souls free, well to put it simply, they can not be removed from him because they become him the second he absorbes them." Once again the chamber grew quiet until a deep menacing laugh began to fill the room eminating from Legion. Legion's laughter stopped as suddenly as it had began and his eyes were now locked on Silver and Hazel. "We will show you what the so called Caretaker is trying to tell you about us." In an instant Legion vanished and materialized behind Silver a glowing ball of white plasma in his hand. In one swift movement he grabbed Silver by the throat and slammed the ball into his back. Silver continued to think about what Caretaker had said about Legion. His eyes widened as Legion vanished before he could blink. Silver sensed Legion appear behind him and felt an intense heat iminating from somthing in his hands. Before he knew what was happening an intense pain shot through his body and he found himself on his knees. The area that Legion's attack had hit had been burned beyond recognition. It had become a melted mass of flesh, muscle, and bone all mixed together. Silver found himself unable to breath knowing that if he had been in his human form or if didn't have control over fire he woud have been killed by that attack. Silver struggled to maintain his devil form as his body was racked with pain. Out of anger and willpower he managed to stand up and quickly delivered a punch to Legion's jaw, all the while roaring in pain. The punch colided squarely with Legion's jaw causing his head to turn to the side. Legion grinned and forced against Silver's punch so that he was once again faceing Silver "It seems that we underestimated you. If only slightly. We are already impressed with the resiliance of you emims we look forward to you joining our ranks." Legion then vanished again appearing in the air above Silver, his intire body inveloped with white plasma similar to the ball he had slammed into Silver moments ago. "NOW BECOME ONE WITH THE LEGION!!" Legion shouted as he descended down upon Silver who from his injures could only look up in pure fear and desperation. In a last attempt to fight off the obviously powerful enemy he summoned the remainder of his energy into a blast of blue flame which he fired at Legion. the attack hit Legion in the chest and shot through to the other side, however Legion still kept his grin and slammed into Silver cracking the ground and throwing dust and debris into the air. When the dust cleared Silver, now in his human form, was standing in the center of the debris in a small crater. A look of surprise was covering his face. He smiled and looked over at Hazel "He wasn't so tough. I thought that I was going to di........" His face then contorted with pain and his skin began to lose color. he reached desperately for Hazel's help as his skin turned grey and hardened. In seconds Silver had gone from looking normal to a stone statue locked in the position of reaching towards Hazel for help. It was now obvious that the stautes that decorated the chamber were Legion's victims. White steam began to seep out of Silver's body condensing a few feet away reforming Legion. Legion looked at Hazel and then at what remained of Silver. "It took more energy then we expected to force him to join us. We are once again impressed with the power you emims contain. Now we will grant you the honor of being our next victim." Legion took a step forward when he reached up with one hand and placed it on his head. His eyes shifted to a bright blue and he removed his hand from his head "Hazel..Please...Run. I can't keep control for long there are too many. Just run." Legion then sent a burst of energy strong enough to only push Hazel towards the chambers exit. Silver had managed to break free from Legion for long enough to speak and try to make her leave. Legion then gripped his head and once again began to argue and speak to himself trying to regain control.

Hazel sighed, "There must be a way--it just hasn't been figured out.. Then after Legion spoke, Hazel glared at it, "We do not need nor want you to show us!" Then her eyes went wide as she saw Silver fight the beast. And then to her horror, he was absorbed, in a matter of seconds.. She was about to reach and try to help him but before she could even move a muscle, he was gone.. It shocked her so much, she hadn't even had time to react--and then Silver had done an unexpected thing. He took control and forced her out of the room. Hazel for a second was pissed that he'd do such a thing--and then her senses returned to her, "I'll be back after I find a way to free you I won't let it end like this!" She then headed back down to where the sleeping child Emim was--though now she little girl was sitting there, looking terrified. Hazel picked up the little girl and headed to find the others who Anfang had brought here..

Legion regain control shortly after Hazel left the floor. He stood up and looked down at his hands "Our power has nearly doubled from absorbing that boy. Young Silver you had more power then we or you realized." Legion then began to walk towards the floors exit. Caretaker manafested before Legion with his hand raised "I can't allow you to leave this floor. I may not be able to fight you but I can close all access points to this floor trapping you." Legion laughed once again "Empty threats Caretaker. We all know you no longer have the ablity to contain us since we absorbed the boy. Our genetics have changed you were only set to confine our past selves. Close the portals if you like. They are not how we plan to escape." Caretaker vanished as Legion sent out a burst of energy creating cracks in the walls. "Now lets go meet the other guests of Anfang." He cracked his knuckles and then his fists being encircled with plasma slammed his fists into the floor, which at first resisted but then gave way and collapsed creating a large hole down to the next level of the Sanctuary. "Only four more floors to collapse and then we will devour as many as we can before they escape." He then leaped down the hole and prepared to slam his fist into the next floor.
