"Defend but don't kill... fair enough Shinigami..." He said as he headed to what he felt was a strong human soul alongside Zukota.

"I don't like to fight much anyway." He said as if it was a side note.

"Sure. What will the signal be for me to enter?" He asked surveying the area for anything he could use for an advantage if it came down to it.

(Yeah, going to assume that's my cue lol)

Peas had just got home from the store and was putting away groceries when she heard a knock at the door.
"No worries Maia! I'll get it!"
She called to her partner who was minding her son. Humming to herself she opened the door.
"Grand, une moissonneuse d'âme. ....*"
She muttered, rolling her eyes as she saw who, or shall I say what, was at the door.
"Can I help you....sir?"

*Great, a soul reaper....... <-----translation. I shall supply these as needed.

"Not exactly the sweetest greeting I've ever received," he frowned playfully, "though I suppose I understand the sentiment."

*He looked into the house, and seeing that the woman had family members nearby he decided to speak with her outside.*

"Would you follow me outside please," he looked her dead in the eyes, "what I have to say to you relates to the safety of us all, and that includes your family. They lack the powers needed to be of any help, so I hope you will understand that I don't want to include them."

I'd rather be forgotten

It had been on the tip of her tongue to tell him to buzz off when her family was mentioned. While Peara was many things, no one could ever say she didn't care about family. As she began outside to speak to the shinigami a soft, delicate voice floated from the eating room.
"Qui l'est cher?*"
"Just a sales person, I'm getting rid of him," she shot an apologetic look at her company, "Sorry, while Maia understands Japanese she doesn't speak a word of it."
Shutting the door behind her, Peara turned to face the soul reaper,
"So, whats so important?"

"You speak French, I've learned many languages in my life so that I would be able to deal with situations more easily," he said, "the language barrier is one of the hardest to break, but if you can do that things become a lot simpler. Though I understand French to a degree, I can hardly speak two words of it."

"Now, let me explain why I'm here," he looked deep into her eyes to try and see every minute detail in her reaction, "Have you seen any phantoms?"

"Calm down," he placed his hand gently on her shoulder, "I'm not responsible for the phantoms, but I do know why they are beginning to appear."

Zukota snaps his finger, "I forgot to introduce myself didn't I, I am Captain Commander of the thirteen protection squads, Zukota Isoba." *bows dramatically* "And you are?"

*Zukota looks at his hand and calmly removes it, he hated the quirks that some people had, but knew that this was neither the time nor the place for a lesson in respect.*

"I really wish you wouldn't shout," he said taking on the look of authority that befits his position, "I was trying to be kind to you and help you to remain calm, but it seems that I have done the exact opposite, I apologize for that."

*He looked up at Kalron and nodded for him to come down when he was ready*

"In an ancient legend, specifically texts passed down through the royal family and shown only to the present Captain Commander, there is a tale of two gods who created life itself on this world. Later one of the gods died and when the first tried to revive her he discovered she had become a monster, in the first's possession was a magical mirror which he used to enter the underworld and to try and escape it, the second seized hold of that mirror and infected it with her dark will, the mirror split in two and the first vanished with half from the underworld. The two halves of the mirror created two worlds, now when the pieces of the mirror draw near the two world do also, if the pieces are united reality itself will be placed in jeopardy."
