Glitch blinked. This girl was very, very confusing. "Hey, you can have the rock!" Glitch considered throwing it at her. Good thing Murtaugh had taught him to think before he acted. "And I can get my little brother to demudify you with his magic! Wouldn't that make you feel better?"

Glitch smiled back and led the way towards the forest. Then he saw the green blur running towards him.
"Glitch!" Maguire yelled, running into his older brother. He stopped dead when he saw Nienna. "Who are you?" the teen asked.

Maguire backed away. "Sorry," he said. "But, I have to talk to Glitch."
"Now, don't be rude, Maguire," Glitch scolded. Maguire looked at him in surprise. Glitch gave him a Please respect my authority as older brother just this once in front of the pretty girl look. "We were actually going to come look for you. We'd like you to demudify us. Please."
"Well, who is she? I'm not supposed to perform magic in front of strangers. You know that." Maguire looked the girl over. "You don't look like a bad witch, though. Are you a good witch?"
