But, my grandmum recently (after a mastectomy) got a clean bill of health too!

Congrats to your mother! I'm very glad to hear she's cancer free <3
My aunt died a few years ago after an 11 year battle with breast cancer. My mom and my sisters and I do the walk in October every year now in remembrance of her <3

That is wonderful news about your mom! I hope from the bottom of my heart that she stays in remission. heart
My aunt has been lucky to beat breast cancer, though other friends and family have not been so lucky. Her son died at 21 from cancer, then a year later I lost my best friend to it. Not to mention my grandmother and an uncle as well as other family members.... Yeah my family has bad luck when it comes to cancer.
I'm all for anything that supports finding ways to help cancer patients and their familys as well as finding cures and treatments for such a horrible disease!

We will keep you and your family in our prayers. I surely hope she remains in remission. She truly is a fighter. I hope you all remain in high spirits because there is always hope when your in doubt.
