"There had better be a damn good reason why the previous series of events just happened," Sena replied flatly. Obviously frustrated, he stared down at her impatiently, occasionally darting glances over back where she had dragged him from. He could still hear the giggling of the ladies down the alleyway, and sighed, looking back down at Miyako. Well that's just great, he thought cynically. She's not letting me have any fun at all. Leaning against the alley wall facing her, he ran a hand through his hair. She's going to ask me for help concerning her rebel friend. That's the only reason I can think of as to why she would pretend to be straight with me, he mused, raising an eyebrow at Miyako, amused. "I know you have a preference for woman by the way, so you really didn't have to force yourself. A simple bribe and a whisper in my ear would have sufficed." Smiling softly at her, his eyes twinkled coldly without emotion. "So," he asked again, lips curled in a wry grin. "What do you want me to do for you, and why should I do it, lover?"
He stretched a hand out before him, and a blue flame burst into appearance with a slight puff. Illuminating the now darkening alleyway around them, it cast a quiet glow about the surroundings. If she asks me to help with the rebel, she's going to have to persuade me, he thought. Sure, it's good for business, but getting involved directly in that way would get... messy. And boring. Which wouldn't be fun. Yawning slightly, he darted a glance back at the doorway. I usually don't get involved with these kinds of things, he thought, longing for the softness of woman's body. Maybe I'll have time left over to pay Lily a visit and explain the misunderstanding to her too...

Miyako raised and eyebrow at him and frowned, "I'm not gay, not completely anyway. and I happen to prefer men to women", She said. Suddenly she found herself fighting a blush at her actions, mostly because she realized kissing him hadn't been that bad. It was true, she loved women, and sometimes after her affairs with them she would indulge in a bit of art, drawing them in the nude. It was a private collection she kept under lock and key. Men just didn't have the physical beauty women did, but they had hard lines, aggressive posture, much more animalistic qualities. However, most of them wouldn't stay still long enough for a portrait, their urges kept them quite busy. Miyako looked Senalore up and down, silently wondering about what he would be like to draw that way. She coughed and ran her hand through her hair so that it fell in her face for a moment to hide the confusion there. "I want help, your sway with the law allows for a certain amount of coverage. If I hadn't asked Reina to meet me in such an obvious place it might have been harder for that b*****d to find us", She said lowly. Miyako looked at him now, the blush had faded enough for her to feel sure of herself. Miya took the ornate comb out of her hair, it was beginning to pinch, as she did so her long sable brown hair fell down around her face in deep waves making her look a bit wild.
She sighed and procured a small silver case from the front of her shirt. out of it popped a black cigarette. "A little help?", She asked, meaning his control of flame. After that she took a long drag and blew the smoke away from his face. "I could pay you, but you're so rich all ready, dare I ask what kind of payment you might prefer?", She asked. Miyako stood there, trying to ignore the fading laughter as she smoked. Things had gone so awry it had shaken her deeply, shock and adrenaline held the nerves at bay but it might not stay that way for long. There were better ways to calm down, none of which she could indulge in at that point in time. "Well?", She asked, his stare made her nervous. What was he contemplating?!

Reina's head swam. Her eyes fluttered open but everything held a sort of haze to it. She couldn't distingush where she was. Reina attempted to move her arms to attempt to rub here eyes and free up her sight, but to no avail. She was restrained. Vision clearing slightly, she noticed that she was in a room with no windows and one large metal door. She was restrained by her wrists and ankles in a metal chair that was cold against her body. Her breathing was short and ragged and it felt as if the temperature in the room was dropping. I need to know where I am... Reina's eyes closed as she entered her dream-like state and her vision filled with lights. There were auras of many different colors, each indicating a different ability, she was in the Guardian headquarters. Or at least, close to it. Her vision shifted elsewhere to the slums known as South Basis. Her companions had escaped capture and given what medical supplies they could to the various make-shift hospitals. And now to the opposite end of the spectrum. Auras of the rich and gifted filled her vision as she singled out her connection, simply out of pure curiosity. She found the vibrant blue aura nearly mixing with the fiery red from before. What the hell are they doing?

Marcus stared through his binoculars once more. He had taken the elf to HQ then was imediately sent back to his post. It wasn't unexpected, just annoying. He had brought in a rebel leader! He should at least get some down time for that. "This... is... annoying." Marcus complained to himself. Marcus turned himself around completely to get a glimpse at how the richer half spent their nights. Brilliant street lights, expencive looking vehicles, a couple rather risque women. The Nobles knew how to live. Marcus was almost envious. He shook his head rigourously. "Come on Marcus, stay focused! If you get fired it's your fault." He turned around and continued his vigil of the dark and ruined South.

Smiling at Miyako's little protest on her sexual preferences, Senalore looked away back to the busy street. "You want my help. I know you want my help, Miss Miya," his eyes turned back to her, mysterious pools of dark blue that were characteristic of the Scilliano family. "I assumed that was the reason you dragged me away from my little... venture back there." Pacing slowly behind her, he saw giggling groups of noble girls whispering amongst themselves, dressed in colorful gowns. "But you have yet to answer my second question." Leaning his elegant chin lightly on her shoulder, he whispered in her ear. "I could help you, Miss Miya. I can twist the law around my little finger like it was a piece of string. But," he sauntered back around in front of her, "Why should I? What do I have to gain, for risking in such a dangerous gamble?" And it would be dangerous indeed, he thought. "You do realize the consequences if I were caught helping you, Miss Miya? It would mean civil war for Basis. And it would mean the end of the Scilliano family. The other nobles would import their weapons, lowering tariffs and boycott our products." Unless... he suddenly thought, an idea awakening in his head. Unless the rebels win... If the rebels buy our weapons and pay us upon credit, if they eventually win the war and become the new government, the Scilliano family would flourish... But it's very risky. It would all depend on the strength of the rebel forces... I honestly doubt that the Rebel forces can overthrow both the Guardians and the Nobility.
He snapped his fingers, a small flame jumping out above them. After lighting her cigarette, the fire obediently vanished. "Payment, my dear Miss Miya?" Looking her body up and down quite blatantly, Sena sighed without a trace of lust or desire in his eyes. "I'm sorry, Miss Miya, but frankly, you don't have anything that I desire," he chuckled. Unlike Lily, who's probably crying her heart out, Sena thought. She was a virgin when I bought her, and I was her sole customer. I hope I can make it up to her later... "People who give for the sake of their friendships, soon will find themselves broke." He began heading back to the establishment Miyako had dragged him from. "I'm not interested in going broke, Miss Miya," he smiled back lightly.

Miyako huffed impatiently and started pacing in a small circle. All he cared about were whores, it made her want to slap him! And the way he rolled his eyes at her figure as if she were flat bodied child instead of a woman! She looked up, her eyes glaring for a second before she righted them, making the anger fade out as much as she could. Her friend? Ha. What a friend he was proving to be. Miyako came back around and blew a puff of smoke right beside his head and flicked it at the wall. "I will give you anything you want as payment. Since you feel like messing with my damn head and won't give me a straight answer on what you want!", she snapped. Miyako took a deep breath, trying to calm herself, berating him would not bring anything good to her endeavors. "I mean simply, I do not know what you would have Senalore, but whatever it is , is worth it", Miya said in a slightly kinder tone. She was trying very hard to keep her temper in check. "If you did help me, perhaps we might be able to effect a change here...", She explained.
Miyako looked over her shoulder, checking to see if there was anyone near by to hear her. "I enjoy my station and my money. But I do not believe it is fair to force others to live in such abject squalor. Even then to harm them for trying to get the basic things we all need. By helping the Rebels, I believe there could be a way to set things right", She said, suddenly passion began to fill up her words. Her eyes were swirling pools of emotion, bright and animated as her words flowed forth from her mouth. "If Basis wasn't divided so, the rich could still be rich, but the poor could still have what they need and deserve. A new world, with so many new possibilities for everyone, for us to live the way we please..", Miyako finished. Miyako wrapped her arms around herself, somehow feeling a touch worthless and alone. Senalore hadn't really wanted to be her friend at all, she'd just been entertaining for her drama. Other than that he hadn't given a flying fig about her or anything but his busty loose women.
"If you won't help I will just have to find a way to do this on my own", She said. Miyako had done terrible things before, if she could get away with that then perhaps she could find a way to free Reina. Still with Senalore's help there would be much less of a chance that Miyako would die painfully in the process. Miyako cupped her hands, a pool of water slowly appeared there, this she drank from until satisfied. When the water was gone she let herself drop against the wall, her back straight on the rough stonework.

Laughing as she flicked the cigarette by his cheek, Sena's eyes twinkled in mirth. Oh? So she finds offense that I don't consider her body attractive... Well, actually she's quite the beautiful woman, I just had to tease her a bit, he chuckled to himself. Walking back over to Miyako, he smiled amiably and leaned on the wall next to her. "Don't be like that, Miss Miya," he pouted slightly, seeking her favor. Putting an arm across her shoulders slightly, Sena's eyes sobered, as he continued. "Very well, Miss Miya. I shall... aid you. But I have a high price," his eyes twinkled again. "If I help you, I must insist that you sing for me at my funeral. Is that a fair deal?" Senalore looked onto the busy streets again, face clouded in thought. "I rather... admire Miss Miya," he spoke softly. "You're a very strong woman, independent, talented, intelligent, attractive even," he chuckled, giving her shoulder a small squeeze. "If you were but a few years younger, I would even consider you for my bride."
Seeing the sad expression on her face, Sena pinched her nose lightly with a smile. "Cheer up. Nobody wants to see the famous Miss Miyako Takara frowning. Least of all, yours truly." However, his smile faded as he considered her words. "Power always represses those without it. That's the way it's been in this city, and the way it will always be. You and I both, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, we can do to change that. You say that the poor deserve a new world. Based on what? The blood of the former regime? What makes you think that life after the change will be any different?" He pulled his hand back from around her shoulder, moving to face her, his face quietly serious. "The only thing that will change, is the group that has power. And power always represses those without it. If we aid the rebels, Miss Miya, we are merely turning the wheel of fortune. I will help you, but I have to ask. What real change will there be?"
As moving crowds of people laughed in merriment and ignorance, Sena looked out of the alley, colored lights reflecting sadly in his eyes. "When the rebels win, Miss Miya, they will want vengeance. They will want the lives of all these innocent people." Turning back to her, he smiled faintly. "Can you live with the fact that we killed all those innocents, Miss Miya? Is that truly the right thing to do? What are the rebels even fighting for? What does their leadership want? Before I help you, I must speak with them about their cause." His lips flattened into a thin line, his eyes cold. "Otherwise, without the right purpose, they are nothing more but dissenters in rebellion at the edges of society, and deserve to be put down. Do you understand me?"

Reina senced fleeting emotion from the blue aura as she watched in her dream-like state. Before she could look for the Guardian that had captured her, Reina was rudely awakened by a stinging slap across the face. Her stasis vanished as she turned a blury glare towards a hightly decorated man infront of her. Medals and achievements adorned his elegant black uniform. "It's about time you woke up!" His voice boomed. "You've been quite the annoyance around here. Causing trouble for me and my men." "Does it look like I ca-" Reina was quickly silenced by another slap across the face. "You do not speak unless I give you permission! Understand!?" Reina's hands gripped her chair until they were white as bone. "...Fine..." The man suddenly took a much gentler tone. "Very good. Now then, you will answer everything I ask and you will answer truthfully. Do I make myself clear?" Reina's glare hardened, "...Yes..." "Very good... Tell me everyone who was involved in your little transaction that took place not too long ago." This guy was clearly a high ranking officer, therefore well informed. Lying would just cause Reina more trouble. "There was me and four other South Basis residents. Two Nobles deliverd the supplies." This resulted in another stinging strike to her face. "There were no Nobles involved! This is what really happened. You are a member of a terrorist organization. You were meeting with other scum like yourselves in an exchange of lethal substances, oh say stolen explosives from an arms raid earlier today, to destroy the residents of our highest ranking Nobles." For the first time in a while, Reina allowed anger to show on her face. "That's not what happened!" this resulted in another strike across the face hard enough to topple the chair she was strapped to. The man let out a small chuckle, "I will be back in an hour. Make sure you have your stories straight." As the door slammed closed behind him, Reina was left on the floor.

Miyako laughed softly and tilted her head, her full lips forming a sarcastic smile. "You make me feel old. I am only 21...At least you call me Miss and not Madam", She said. He had changed his demeanor on a dime, and for a moment she was suspicious, but her nature was accepting and gave him the benefit of the doubt. When he made his request it stunned her into speechlessness for a moment. Finally when she regained her voice Miyako agreed, "I can do that. Though I hope I will not have to honor my promise any time soon". Miyako embraced him for a moment, feeling a bit hair brained she needed to cling to something physically solid for a second. When she let go she kissed him on the cheek, this kiss was simple and her way of apologizing for abruptness. "Thank you, it's nice to have my ego fluffed sometimes", She said. With a deep breath she realized she had to end the peaceful moment for a necessary but painful one.
"I am not innocent though. I understand many innocent people will die, that is war", She began. Miyako looked Senalore in the eyes, something odd bubbled in her expression before she looked away and rearranged her features into a mask of placidity. "Once you all ready have blood on your hands it becomes somewhat easier to envision death. But I agree we should have a meeting", Miyako said. "We have to get Reina out of there though, she is they key with the Rebels. They don't take kindly to our kind and she is well respected by most of them. I think she would be receptive of our ideas", Miyako said. She looked up at the darkened sky and stretched her arms towards the pale moon casting an eerie light on the land below. "Reina can assemble them, but we must convince them of our neutrality. If we cannot come up with something I will pull back from this. I will go on doing what I did before, because you are right", Miyako murmured. "If they aren't willing to compromise, if they are just angry and have no wish for a better future or something honorable they deserve their squalor..", Miyako finshed.
"But how will we get Reina out in the first place?", She asked.

"Convince them of our neutrality?" Sena laughed, turning away from Miyako. "My dear Miss Miya, don't get me wrong, but I thought you only asked me to help you free your little friend!" Turning back to face her, he brushed a lock of hair hanging over her face with a lazy hand. "I'm a man of my word, Miss Miya, but I promised you nothing more, and nothing less," he said quietly, his eyes upon hers. As he pulled her off the wall, Sena bit his lip in thought. "Commander Ventiano should be in command of the garrison right now, and I'm assuming they took her to Guardian headquarters. I have connections to him. His daughter is my..." Sena paused, looking for the right word, "playmate, if you will. He's a reasonable man, not adverse to a bit of persuasion, and he's absolutely in love with the idea that his daughter might marry into a noble family." Senalore frowned slightly, brows creasing.
"Anyways, we may as well begin heading over now." Sena began, heading out of the alley back onto the colorful busy street. Many crowds of people had already left for home, but there still was the occasional crowd of nobles, out for a late walk or meal. "I may have some sway over him, but we can worry about the rest of the plan when the time comes." Admiring a particularly festive collection of lanterns hanging off of a storefront, Sena looked back at Miyako. "Well? I already promised you, didn't I? What are you waiting for? I must say, though, this certainly does seem a bit entertaining," Sena admitted, with a small smile.

She shrugged and followed him. "That's fine, you can do what you want after this", She said. Miyako hoped she could at least visit Senalore while all this was going on, it would be nice ot have another friend to talk to. "Just promise me, if I die before you, you won't bring any whores to my funeral?", she asked, teasing him lightly. Once more they hardly looked out of the ordinary walking down the street together, except since forgetting to put her pull away skirt back on, she was wearing rather tight fitting pants. Which for a female Noble was definitely out of the ordinary, she tried to avoid their critical looks as they moved along. "I think after we get this settled it might be nice to step back and relax for a minute, get a drink, and then you can go and...play..since I'm not your sort of toy", She added with a wink.

"Agreed," Senalore replied with a laugh. "I'll even give you a whole hill to yourself. Would you like that, Miss Miya? And flowers, too. I'll cover the whole hill with flowers, so nobody would ever forget the woman who rests there." Taking her hand in his, he lightly brushed his lips over the back of it. As passing Noblewomen gossiped to each other behind their fans, slipping Miyako dirty looks, their husbands tried to ogle her perfect legs discretely. "Where the ******** do you think you're looking?" Senalore snapped at a particularly bold fellow. Putting an arm around Miyako's shoulder, he clasped her to his side. "Yeah, that's right," he spat, "You better keep walking." The humiliated Noble murmured fervent apologies and rushed off to hide his face from the public view. The dull murmurs grew, as Sena smiled down at her. "Never mind them, Miss Miya. What do you mean you're not my type of toy?" Leaning down, he nuzzled her neck playfully. "That's because Miss Miya's not a toy, she's my friend. And I'm always very accommodating to my friends," Sena growled in her ear. "I would always make time to... play with Miss Miya..."

Miyako found herself laughing openly at the Nobleman ran away from Senalore's wrath. Women were gasping openly at the way he shouted, defending Miyako's honor though he didn't have to. One of her male friends from the Hall walked by and gave her a quizzical look, eying Senalore speculatively. She returned the look with a small smile and then mouthed the words, "I'll tell you later". Some men whispered quietly about seeing the renowned Miss Takara with the young lord Senalore of the ruling family, they would be telling their wives and mistresses who hadn't seen it, and rumors would begin to circulate. If she ever got back to the Hall she would definitely have a few explanations due to the friends and coworkers there. Miyako walked quickly with her body pressed up against Sena's, the warmth of his body seeped into her leeching away the cold and the anxiety at what they were about to do.
She was no longer afraid, but emboldened by the sheer confidence Sena exuded. With his influence Miya would have Reina freed and then they could organize a meeting, and perhaps, from that, a revolution. Plans buzzed in her head, possibilities raged on and on showing her visions of how things could be if everyone could just get together and agree on a way to keep thing even handed. There would be blood shed, most nobility wouldn't be accepting of her views but..then Sena kissed her hand. Her thoughts fizzled away as his caress brought her into the here and now. It gave her goosebumps, his breath tickled her neck making her shiver delicately. His voice vibrated against her ear, the thrumming of his low growl working much more effectively than the kiss. Miyako tried to say something, but all that came out was indistinct murmurings. Eventually she managed to giggle nervously, " Children could never understand how much better adult play time is", She said. "What..umm.....I mean..how are you going to convince the Guardians to let her go..can you just bribe them or will you have to do something more...?", she asked. Senalore made her feel like she was fifteen again, giggling and blushing was not usually the way she acted.

Reina had heard the saying 'knocked senceless' but had never experienced it. She couldn't even think clearly. Thoughts of I wonder what Horace is doing and Now that think about it, what is my favorite color. A few moments passed and things finally began to settle. She had just now felt the warm blood puddling under her head, apparently the man was wearing rings. Reina attempted to struggle free of the restraints. She failed, but not from lack of trying. So she just waited for whatever punishment was to come in the near future.

The two Nobles made their way to the end of the street, and a large, ominous building loomed in front of them. "Adult play time?" He murmured into her ear, chuckling slightly. "You mean what I've been doing with Lily all this time? Oh, Miss Miya, how naughty of you to even mention such a thing!" As the doors slid open before them, a young clerk looked up from the front desk, his eyes widening in surprise as soon as he saw who it was. "L-lord Scilliano! I-i-it's a pleasure m-m-meeting y-you, your Excellency! H-how m-m-may I serve you th-this lovely evening?" He stood up and quickly rushed around the counter, bowing and scraping as he did so until he practically knelt before Sena's feet. "Oh get up now, there's a good fellow," Sena quickly bent to help the clerk back up. "Would you mind telling Commander Ventiano that I'm here to pay him a little visit?" "O-of c-course, y-y-your Excellency, r-r-r-right away, y-your Excellency!" Rushing through a door into a long hallway, the young clerk soon disappeared. Gingerly brushing off a seat in the waiting area with a handkerchief, Senalore smiled amiably at Miyako. "Please take a seat, Miss Miya," he proffered the chair to her with a slight bow. "I'm sure it won't take very long until Commander Ventiano admits us. After all, we are family friends." Sitting down with a slight sigh beside her, he carefully tucked the handkerchief back into his pocket, and leaned on an armrest, thinking.
I'm sure Lord Ventiano would see my logic on this one, seeing as how the Scilliano family is the chief benefactor of all the garrisons in the city. If we were to make a profit in the incoming war, surely we could manage to share some of that wealth with him. I just hope he doesn't suggest the marriage again. Julianna may be pretty, and that girl has an amazing body, but that's about it. She can't even hold an intelligent conversation for more than a couple minutes. Turning his gaze back to Miyako, Senalore smiled absentmindedly.
