When they passed through the doors they laid eyes on the shadow for the first time, but it didn't give them long to take in the moment before summoning a pair of shadows to attack them. The silverette glanced at both of them and then back to the retreating shadow, wondering what she had meant when she said that she would 'fix them'. 'Maybe it has something to do with this place, and the clocks?' he thought, not wanting to delve too deeply into the underlying meaning of things just yet. Sigils were magical mashers and they needed a scan quick. The trick to taking them out was eliminating them before they were able to eliminate you with their wicked spells, which meant they needed to get this fight done in a hurry. "Rise, scan!" he called out to the support specialist, before looking at the other members of the team, "Chie and Yosuke, start on the left Sigil...Kazuma, Rednal, the right! Yukiko focus on healing...got it? And don't waste your magic until we know what it's weakness is!" It wasn't a question so much as an understanding...when he started giving out orders, they were meant to be followed. The physical attacks were usually pretty effective against Sigils, though if they could find a weakness it would make the battle that much easier. Either way, it wouldn't do for them to exhaust themselves before they could do some real good.

And with that, the die had been cast and the battle begun. Turning away from his team, he raised his hand in front of him, blue card twirling majestically in the palm. His eyes closed for a moment as he could almost feel the energy building up for the Sigils. And then he opened the clouded orbs sharply, crushing the card into shards. "Izanagi-no-Okami, Mind Charge!"

As soon as the shadows had arrived, Chie had started to focus again, her card appearing as she destroyed it with a high Kick, and her persona twirled it's weapon around, as Chie felt a surge of power inside. She had used Power charge, in an attempt to make her next attack more powerful.
She wanted this to end quick, before anyone could get roughed up too badly.

Rise gave herself little time to ask what had just happened, because she knew better. Everything was always answered with given time, but they lacked that currently, so instead, the red-haired girl scanned the enemy for it's weakness. These sigil types seemed different than the norm, but again, that was to be expected. They were the guardians of the kidnapped girl's dungeon.

"Please raise your defense, guys, just to be safe," she called out, her eyes still closed as she tried to scan through Kanzeon.

Looking at the shadow version of Minori, Kazuma didn't know whether to capture her and beat her until she frees minori or talk to her. What ever he was going to do it was now to late, for she disappeared leaving them with two sigil type shadows. "..Crap." he said feeling sad that he let her shadow get away from him. That minori was Minori-nee's inner self, and to get out of here it looked like she had to do the same thing that Kazuma did in his dungeon she would have to accept her inner self. Hopefully she does, but right now Kazuma was not in a good mood. Pulling his card out he stared grimly at one of the sigil shadows which sigil told him to target with Chie. Kazuma threw his card to the ground and stomped on it, crushing it. "Send them to hell....Amatsu-Mikaboshi!!" he roared as his persona apepared above him ready to strike. Amatsu-Mikaboshi roared out loud, darting towards his opponent with a cleave attack, inflicting damage to the opponent.

The Sigil targeted by the girl's brother got hit with the physical attack, only to flinch slightly. In return, it moved forward, motioning the paper surrounding it to attack the boy.
In meantime, the other shadow cast Megidolaon towards the whole group.

Chie had watched as the boy, Kazuma she thought, had been attacked by what seemed like paper. Of course, she was hit with the Megidoloan, but she shook it off.
It hurt, but not enough to make her stop. She concentrated, as she broke her card again, and a giant golden fist started to come down on the shadow that was near Kazuma, aiming to crush it.
Since she had used power charge, the thing would be severely hurt at the least, if not killed when the fist connected.

Seeing that the physical attack launched by Kazuma hadn't done much damage, Soji frowned and decided that he was going to have to have the others try with a few higher-level physical attacks before he gave up on it. Even though it hadn't done much damage with the Cleave, it had done a little damage, and it was also true that Kazuma had only just obtained his persona...and the others packed a lot more power than that right now. "Your persona is still weak, Kazuma...just use your physical attacks," the Senior advised him, watching as everyone else braced for a round of attacks. Before that, though, they were going to have to survive the spell that the one Sigil was targeting them with right now...and it certainly was in a hurry to get rid of them if it was using that one. Perhaps it sensed that it was in just as much danger of losing as the team was, if it didn't take the initiative with its spells? 'Clever girl,' Soji frowned, gritting his teeth as he and the rest of the team absorbed the damage from the Megidolaon spell that would likely hit all of them. Thankfully, it was the first hit they had taken since they entered the dungeon, he and Kazuma, but the chances were that it would damage them the most regardless because of their previous injuries. He bit his lip and ignored the pain, the tingling in his arms and legs, and the throbbing in his sternum. This was the price he was willing to pay.

"Yukiko, Mediarahan!" he ordered the heiress to unleash her strongest healing spell to revitalize the group, not wanting to risk the danger that a dual-spell from those would cause them. Enduring one Megidolaon was nothing...enduring two was wicked-hard. And he wasn't about to take any chances, especially with Kazuma in as bad of shape as he was. Speaking of which, a second attack went in a volley his way, but it was too quick for any of the others [except possibly Rednal, who should have been fighting with him] to defend him from. Cursing under his breath, Soji turned to both of the shadows with a stern glare and raised his card in front of him, crushing it with authority. There was still no word on the results of the scan, but he had yet to meet the shadow that wouldn't be reeling after a double-powered one of these. Izanagi-no-Okami!" he cried, the Yakuza-looking celestial being taking form overhead with its massive red want, targeting both of the Sigils. It was time to return the favor they had just paid them, in kind. "Megidolaon," he uttered darkly, letting the almighty wave of blue energy crash forward into the two Sigils with a power that could only be reached with the utmost concentration. They had to win...they needed to win...for Minori and Kazuma's sake, both. Until the fight was over he would keep that promise, no matter the cost. And with the combined force of Chie's God Hand attack and his Megidolaon...at least one of the shadows was probably feeling that determination rather sharply right now.

The attacked hit, but still it wasn't good enough. Kazuma cursed to himself has he leaped backwards away fromt he incoming attack. But that wasn't enough for the spell Megidolaon hit him good. Feeling his body tingling, Kazuma took a knee. Still his body was exhausted, and this was just making it worse. He started to second think of being in this dungeon fighting this strong shadow, but he knew for a fact that he could not live with himself if he left Minori. She was his sister, and he will save her. Reaching into his pocket he grabbed his headphones, placed it into his ears and blasted his music which was coming from his ipod. Getting back up on his feet he took a breath. "Amatasu-Mikaboshi." he said taking out his card and crushing it. His Persona was summoned yet again awaiting orders from Kazuma. "Lanuch me," he said jumping up and landing on one of his persona's sword. Following his order Amatsu-mikaboshi put all his strength into throwing Kazuma at one of the sigil. Kazuma preformed a flying front kick as he was darting quickly towards the sigil shadow in the air. With this Momentum, hopefully a good amount of force would bring more damage to the shadow.

Recieving the same attack but with a larger force, the Sigil slouched forward, the pages just hovering right under its feet, as if wilthering. The combination of the charged attacks had surely worn it out, while the other still stood straight, even though also weakened, preparing for the next round of attacks.
It twirled the spear in its hand, casting another Megidolaon. The other shadow moved slowly towards the girl that had attacked it earlier, attacking with a simple physical hit.

The shadows attacking them were wearing down quickly, but they were wearing down at a similar rate. Particularly, it was a miracle that Kazuma had managed to avoid that physical hit on the last move, otherwise the Megidolaon would have had him unconscious and in a very bad way for certain. Thankfully, he had his wits about him pretty well on the battlefield...and that kind of instinct was incredibly important when fighting. Most of the great hand-to-hand combatants that he knew had been born with it, or developed it through strict training...Chie, Kanji, and now Kazuma could be added onto a similar list. Letting out a breath he hadn't known he was holding, he watched as the shadows reeled from his counter, but prepared for another...possibly final assault on their team. Sensing that the battle was coming close to the end, he knew that he didn't have time to charge up his next attack, but that it might still be enough to get the job done. His card appeared in his hand without his even consciously thinking of it, as if his instincts were telling him what to do at this point. Heh, seemed like he might be one of those special breed of combatants as well. "They're on the run, finish them!" the Senior ordered his team, sensing that the next turn could be the last. The blue card twirled in the palm of his hand ominously...

...And was shattered by the closing of his lithe fingers. "Izanagi-no-Okami!" he recalled his Persona and watched it twirl its red wand overhead, preparing a spell to cast against their enemies. It seemed that the last almighty attack had done significant damage, and though this one wasn't doubled in power, he hoped that it would be enough to get the job done. Seeing the blue energy pool overhead from his opponents suddenly, it was only by the skin of his teeth that his Angelic Grace kicked in and allowed him to slip the attack, leaving him in perfect position to put an end to the battle. Knowing this, he didn't make a big scene out of it, or break out a heroic quip. He did what any leader would have done and kept his cool, like a general ordering the final strike against the opposing army to win the war. Stoic, efficient, reliable...victorious. 'Megidolaon!" he turned to the side and motioned his hand forward, watching the almighty attack crash forward into the weakened shadows perilously, instantly reducing the weaker form into a bubbling pile of gloop as the other would likely meet the same fate. A moment longer passed as Soji watched his enemies fall before him, a few beads of sweat [a few more than normal] trickling down his neck and inside of his jacket.

Only the most trained of eyes could tell just how exhausted he and Kazuma were at this point, but there was no use making any fuss about it now. They were in too deep to pull back, and it was only a short distance now to their goal. Battle in-hand, he ignored the burning in his muscles...the burning in his lungs...and nodded at Minori's brother before turning to the group with a relieved sigh. "Nice job, guys. Let's keep moving. Restore your magic on the way," he told the team simply, knowing they wouldn't need heaps of praise beyond that before moving on to the next task. The 4th Floor met them when they passed through the doors that the shadow Sigils had guarded, and somewhere in the distance there would be another door to the 5th. All they had to do was cross the distance between the two.

Though that, in and of itself, was no small feat at all...

Chie did a backflip in place, as she gave a short victory cry, before she started to move again. She was still in prime form, and could keep on. Of course, her teammates were probably a little tired, but she was sure she could pick up the slack.
"So, do ya think this is the last floor?" she asked her comrades, hopefully. She was ready to get this over with, despite the familair rush she felt from fighting shadows.

"If the Americans are right about Murphy's Law, then it isn't." Rednal said as he moved forward, keeping pace with the girl. He hummed quietly as he went along, a tune that the girl would no doubt recognize from her time in Gensokyo... what with all the combat going on, Rednal seemed to think that a little background music was appropriate. Had this been his area, it would have just started playing, but... he couldn't do things like make stereos in someone else's territory. That was, sadly, outside of his capabilities.

"Rednal's probably right. This floor is too big to be the last one," he noted from the winding corridors that it was unlikely that the shadow was waiting for them somewhere on this level. From experience, they tended to have a sort of 'throne' room that they waited in at the top of the dungeon, taunting their 'true' forms until they denied them and made them into the monsters that they were meant to be. Still, he didn't know how much longer the dungeon would ascend upwards, only that they had a little ways to go, yet. He began to move down the corridor in a light jog, ears perked and listening for any analysis that Rise could offer them on the layout and the direction of the door to the 5th Floor. There were a few minor shadows that he had seen and directed the team around, but no major fights had confronted him as he weaved through the maze, hall-by-hall, until at last the door to the next Level came into sight...at the end of a very long, and shadow-laden path. He wasn't sure that they were going to be able to weave their way through this particular road without coming into contact with a few of the enemies and having to strike them down, but if they could manage it...it would be a huge deal in keeping them healthy enough for the when the real battle began.

"Stay single file through here and follow me. Try to avoid fighting the shadows on this level," the Senior ordered his team, deciding that avoidance was the way to go at this point. Watching as they either fell in line behind him or cast him a look, he knew that they would all do their best to follow his commands. After all, it was for the good of the entire team. And then he turned around, making a quick dash to the right to avoid a shadow that had nearly seen them, successfully avoiding a fight with one of the many enemies lining the way. The next one required a little misdirection to avoid, which he followed with a mad dash down the Hall to get out of its line of sight before it locked onto them. Once there, he began to tiptoe around the next of the shadows, making it about halfway down the corridor before looking back to see how his team was doing. If they had made it this far, then maybe they would manage to get off this floor without fighting. It had happened for them before, and it was just what the doctor ordered right now, that was for sure. They needed to get to the top as fast, and with as little confrontation as possible.

Chie had sucessfully followed her leader, along with Yukiko and Yosuke. The group had sucessfully avoided getting caught by the shadows, managing to lunge past them as they chased Souji, and were almost positive it would work out.
Rednal seemed to be a bit annoyed at having to avoid the shadows, rather than fight them, but he moved along as well, quickly wiping the look off his face and replacing it with the smile he always seemed to have.
It was just a matter of time before they made it to the next floor.

Kazuma walked behind soji looking at the shadows in the floor they were in. To be honest Kazuma really wanted to beat them up, he had a weird sense of pleasure beating this creautres up, but now as not the time foir that. Maybe another time, he started to wonder what he should do if he had to fight Minori's shadow. He couldn't attack something that looked, and talk like his older sister, that was just impossible. Hopefully for him the Shadow would change into something else allowing Kazuma to fight it more easily, but one thing was for sure he was at a mental disadvantage. For now Kazuma shook off the thought of fighting Minori's shadow and continued to follow Soji.
