Spell Sword Keep
As expected from most humans, magical or not, extreme excitement tends to make one jumpy, fidgeting, inexplicably fast, and clumsy. The young southern was no exception to these side effects. Running down the stone stairs to the Keep's training area, where supposedly everyone else was, Kali burst open the door with a loud bang as it thudded against a wall.
Of course from there it was all downhill.
A shadow popped up out of nowhere, completely flat against the ground so that only one full of clumsy excitement could trip on it. Falling forward, it was almost as though everything else happened in slow motion. Her whole body, petite as it was, seemed to fly through the air before knocking into a pair of new inductees standing in front of another wizard, seemingly for introduction. The three fell in a jumble of arms and legs, seriously messing up the pair's regal attire and haughty air.
Sunshine yellow heels and turquoise encased legs stuck right up in the air under the two others, while Kali's pretty lavender hair equipped with bouncy antennae laid askew on her head. Course she looked up unabashedly as she recognized a man of rank in the new division, Storm. His name was whispered in Headquarters.
"Well howdy there, Cap!" she grinned brightly from the pile of bodies she had created.

[Spell Sword Keep - Training Yard]
Ronyo smiled at the man's change of attitude and made a mental note to remember the quick change. With a wave of his hand he led the pair over to the firing line and gave a wave of his wand. A target dummy popped up and stood perfectly still.
"A simple test with the ability to allow for creativity. The dummy is the target, incapacitate the dummy without causing it serious harm. This is in case we wish to ask it question after it is down. Simple works," as Ronyo eyed some of his earlier members, "but you have no restriction on what you can do to the target other than let it live."
With that Ronyo stepped aside and waited with the others. Maybe form these two he would get the example he was hoping for in terms of style and aptitude. So far he could see the first group did not enjoy simple practice and drills, and that was fine for now. They were a military unit and as such would need to have drills in order to stay sharp later on.
Oddly enough at that moment things decided to take yet another odd turn of events. The door to the training yard flew open to produce the oddest of characters Ronyo had ever seen. The bundle of energy barreled into the room and crashed into the other new members. Ronyo brought a hand to his mouth in mock pondering to hold in the chuckle that wished to come forth. Seeing the multicolored woman simply look up and respond with a ,"howdy there, cap," made the Spell Sword leader even harder pressed to hold his composer. With a sigh he thought how well those future military drills would go at this point, and leaned down to offer a hand to both woman on the ground.
"Is everyone alright? Allow me to help you two ladies up."

[Leaky Cauldron]
The slightest tick rang clear in her mind, the previously squashed sense of impending danger rose once more, and Alette hesitated to measure how curious she really was. His new demeanor, this intent, almost hungry, gaze and his persistence would have made her feel as if her back were to the wall, if it weren't already there.
"Monsieur, Vous êtes trop généreux une fois de plus.*" She spoke quickly now, in a language that fit her much better, and allowed her to express herself more easily. "Ou peut-être vous présumez trop.*"
Feign indignation? Yes, if he was to be so bold she would have to counter with the defense of her honor as a lady. But, she softened, after a moment of seeming to re-think her own reaction.
"A'm sorry. Perhaps I am too quick to judge myself.. but you must understand zat I am a Lady, monsieur, and could not be expected to depart wit' you after only just making acquaintance.
With that she toyed with her collarbone nervously, conveniently tracing a line just across her breasts as she did so, and hoped that her coyness would not deter him. She had not yet discerned why he was so eager, after all... but if he did elude her then she might simply have to follow after him.
((*Once again, you are too generous *Or perhaps you simply presume too much))

Leaky Connor
Very well. I will play the mouse.
"Hmm..."
Vraun glanced out the window, as though he were checking the daylight. It had been dark when he came in.
"Il semble que je dois partir," Vraun said, turning back to Alette. "Il est tard et je dois être en revenir à mon manoir avant que certains des types louches à Londres dans les rues."*
Vraun peered into his pint and took in the last bit of his lager. Hardly more than a sip.
"Ce fut un plaisir de vous rencontrer, et j'espère que nous pouvons rencontrer à nouveau avant de quitter la ville, Miss D'or," Vraun said, setting his cup down loudly. "Jusqu'à ce que nous nous reverrons..."**
Vraun took Alette's hand in a gentle grasp and guided it in his direction, all the while leaning in towards it, as well. He brushed his lips against her gently and her hand slip out of his down onto the table. Smiling, he got up from the table, dropping his pint off at the bar, and made his way for the exit.
Once outside, he pulled on his hood-- it was raining-- and cast a disillusionment charm over himself. If anyone walked out of the tavern and looked in his direction, they would only see the dark of night, a pitter-patter of pain in the streetlight, and the empty street behind him. Vraun stood just off of the sidewalk and pulled out his wand, ready and waiting for Alette D'or to follow out after him in exchange for a warm bed and some friendly company.
*It seems that I must go. It's late and I should be back to my house before some unsavory types take to the London streets.
**It was a pleasure meeting you, and I do hope that we can meet again before you leave the city, Miss D'or. Until we meet again.

[Spell Sword Keep]
One moment, Cayley had been upright and listening to their instructions for the exercise, having adopted the same seriousness about her that her brother, Farran, had. Then she had been bowled over by an unstoppable force of nature, a veritable explosion of color. That words had been spoken had not struck a chord yet in her mind even though they had reached her ears already. She was still on the ground after the other two had got up, Farran himself recovering his equilibrium as swift as always and assisting Ronyo with helping the two ladies (including herself) up.
"Oh! Thank you!" She quickly accepted aid from Ronyo, at first unsure of the touch, but at a glance to Farran, accepted with his reassuring nod. The motion was swift, yet sure and she showed her appreciation with a smile that touched her eyes to Ronyo. "I shall have to spend a moment tidying up, after, why don't you go first, Farran dear? And please, alive means no excessive use of the Confringo incantation. Please?" and Cayley did so as she judiciously used the same Tergeo charm Farran had used earlier on all three.
She had not asked permission verbally, but took the liberty with an apologetic smile. As if the entire mess had been her fault, the tone carried into her velvet voice, "Tis a pleasure to meet you so enthusiastically, miss?" Ever polite, Cayley offered her right hand in greeting after moving her wand to her other.

Spell Sword Keep
The little spitfire gladly accepted the proffered hand of her new leader to help her up, only to be spelled clean suddenly. Upon standing she came face to chest with the two she had knocked down, and boy were they lookers! Considering Kali was as heterosexual as they come her eyes were immediately drawn more to the man then the woman. He was gorgeous, no doubt about that.
Her lime green (currently) eyes closes in half-moons from her bright smile as she turned to accept the new proffered hand of a teammate, "Well, howdedo! Ah'm sorry about that ya'll, musta tripped on something on the wey down."
Before she got a good look at the polite woman....who had a very familiar voice oddly enough, Kali turned to her new boss, "Sorry 'bout that Cap. Ah'm Kali Hicks, reportin' for duty."

[Spell Swords Keep - Training Ground]
The newest member to the unit seemed like a stark contrast to all the others that had joined so far. Her attitude and outlook seemed much more innocent then the others. The thought had him wondering how she would do, but he shrugged the thought away remembering that she was here because she was assigned not volunteered. Upon hearing the woman's thick draw he had a feeling she was not from this side of the pond.
"Nice to meet you Ms. Hicks, you certainly have a way of making an entrance. We are currently going through a few drills, once lady and Sir Bardsley get done you shall be next. I'll explain more when you step up to the line, but be thinking of a interesting way to take down a target."
Ronyo turned to the two siblings and watched as Farran stood ready with his wand but not on guard yet. The change in the man's demeanor and focus again puzzled and fascinated Ronyo but he smiled and decided he was glad the man was on their side.
"At your ready sir Bardsley," Ronyo smiled and gave the man a nod.

[Leaky Cauldron]
Alette found it fitting that he would speak of the dangers of the streets, convinced now as she was that he himself was one of those very dangers, and found herself once more crushing her heel into the nervous instinct to run. She smiled kindly as he brought her hand to his lips and then let it go gently, and watched as he left the Cauldron without looking back. It was intriguing, tantalizing even, as her curiosity grew and grew. What sort of mischief had be been up to, and what was he up to now? She doubted he was truly giving up and heading home, he'd come here for a purpose after all, she simply didn't know where that purpose would lead to.
She didn't finish her drink, preferring a clear head instead, and simply stood drawing her cloak around herself. With the hood in place over her head, its depth easily hiding her face in shadows, and its length wrapped over one shoulder to conceal her from head to tow, she left the tavern. She fingered her wand eagerly, looking forward to a little excitement, and stepped into the rain to follow after Vraun.
Not spying his retreating form immediately she brought a hand up from the folds of her cloak to pull the hood back from her eyes slightly, allowing herself a wider peripheral vision, and paused near the doorway to look around the road. There really was no one, just the dark of night, but her gut was whispering to her that something was wrong. Her other hand sneaked out then, wand enclosed in a readied position, and she began slowly down the road. If she didn't see him then she supposed she could retire after all, she did have a few things to pick up in Diagon alley in the morning and that appointment with the familiar's keeper shouldn't be late.. she was already missing having an extra set of eyes over her shoulder (or six or eight).

[Spell Sword Keep]
After righting himself and enjoying the dusting off he received from his sister's Tergeo incantation, Farran had resumed his posture from moments before. Politeness however bade him turn to the smaller newcomer... and it was all he could do not to be floored.
She was bright and colorful, cheerful and certainly not to mention her figure was absolutely stunning. Long hours of practice however, known only to himself of course, with considerations to his sister, Cayley, allowed him to keep his reactions smooth and gentlemanly. Right down to when he broke posture and gently took up the fey pixy's hand in his, and with a polite kiss to the top of her hand and a bow he introduced himself, "I could not help but hear that your name is Kali Hicks, yes? Allow me to introduce myself and my dear sister here,"
He let go of Kali's hand and bowed wide with a gesture in one smooth motion, mirroring his tone of voice, "I am Farran Grier Bardsley and this fine young woman is my half-sister Cayley Delia Bardsley," It was only polite he introduce them both, "The Bardsleys, at your service, miss! Now forgive me while I attend to my exercise!"
Finally he turned and took up the ready, a steady and stern look to him. He never took his eyes off the training dummy, but he did speak aloud, "No two situations would ever be the same, my inclination then would be to out-prepare my mark. if I could, I would call to have lines chalked in such a way and place as to erect an ambush. A trap as it were, where I could erect a barrier using the Protego Totalum Incantation to trap the mark on the inside. In this case, I shall assume we would be in the throes of a heated duel," Holding the wand as if it were one of his swords pointed at a mark, he continued, "Assuming the mark would have an arsenal of non-verbal incantations, I would instead make sure I had a Protego Horribilis charm already in place and..." With an exaggerated 'Incarcerous', Farran conjured a number of constricting robes before swiftly following the incantation up with a strong and clear 'Duro' directed at the ropes, freezing them to stone. Unfortunately it was only a minor light of the dummy's eyes that could escape from the number of stone robes binding it.
Drawing his wand up and changing his hold to the business end of the wand, "Now, granted, the situation may change given different wizards and inputs, but the simplest and fastest route to victory is always speed. I would hazard, at least my sister would do likewise. Except I would hazard she would charm any male Dark Wizard with her wonderful Veela Charm. Oh, and Cayley dear, shall I leave the unsummoning of my bindings to you? I always did enjoy watching you spell.." And he had been so serious up until insisting he get one last prod in at the end.

[Leaky Cauldron]
For reasons she couldn't know, Chrysanthemum found herself watching a peculiar couple through the slowly diminishing crowd. She'd already had one too many butter beers to herself, not enough to stumble but certainly enough to stare rudely at the two that had caught her attention, and fill her with the gusto to follow. She still wore her muggle-style jacket, a means to get around her neighbourhood without attracting attention, a crop-top denim with a sewn in wool sweather, over her cornflower blue hospital tunic. Black leggings and clean white sneakers swung out almost of their own accord when the lady left the Cauldron in her cloak.
She didn't follow right after, waiting maybe a moment first to ask herself what she was doing. The answer was instinct. She was following it. It was the top most reason her Headmaster had pushed her so towards the path of an Auror, pruning her to all the right classes, and it was the only time she had steered clear of it on the day she altered her course towards St.Mungo's. Now it was ringing clear again and she readied her want, running through what seemed like archaic defensive spells in her mind (it had been so long since she'd used them), and then stepped into the rain.
It took her a moment in the darkness to see where the woman had gone too, alone it seemed, and Chrys hesitated on the threshold as her gut bid her to wait.

[Spell Swords Keep - Training Yard]
Once again the man who called himself Farran seemed a different sort from before, but Ronyo decided he had focused on that fact for too long at this point. If he was to fight alongside the man he would learn of him well enough eventually. Seeing him give a quick introduction to the colorful new comer did give Ronyo a smile seeing everyone getting along.
His concentration shifted as Farran's did on to his target. He listened to the man speak of his ideal method of dueling and fighting. He was an ambush fighter then, guerilla tactics. That was something they could use to their advantage if need be. Maybe even something to have the man teach should it become necessary. Seeing the man use a simple rope binding but then turn it to stone brought a smirk the Ronyo's face. effective and well within the bounds of the exercise, with leaving the target still aware to interrogate thoroughly.
"A fine display sir Bardsley, and I like your ideas of guerilla tactics as well," Ronyo flicked his wand and the target moved away and a new one appeared, "no need to undo anything, this facility is designed for us to train and blast as many dummy targets as need be. Oh, I should add, though I think it just a formality at this point, that unforgivables are not allowed here either. It is still what separates us from the dark wizards out there," Ronyo nodded and turned to lady Bardsley, "at your ready good lady."

[Spell Sword Keep]
Cayley herself nodded and curtsied appreciably at Farran's introduction towards their compatriot, Kali Hicks. Soon though, her own thoughts unfocused a bit as she tried to place the odd familiarity in the smaller woman. Even as she and her brother were looked over. She did remember to take up Kali's hand in a warm handshake after Farran released it accompanied by a warm smile. She had grown up in France, but was unsure as to what kind of freedoms she could take. She was confident and sure in most other things... "Tis truly a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss Kali Hicks. I shall look forward to working with you!"
As she watched Farran deal with the exercise, Cayley could not help but think it was odd that Farran had been so subdued, but she was more used to him. If given restraints, he would follow them to the tee, but he was no slouch as a swordsman and thought it would have been more characteristic of him to simply run the thing through. Still she nodded appreciably as he followed through with his stone ropes...
Before she could let Farran use Ronyo's words to stroke his ego, she quickly interjected in a tone truly unhurried and sure, "I would, on all accounts, Farran-dear. But only if the situation called for it of course. And perhaps if speed is your game, maybe I should show you what it means to be truly swift?"
And she could not help but smirk as in a heartbeat, Cayley metamorphed into a hummingbird. Darting out of her own clothes before they fell, Cayley flew swiftly and erratically like some heat-seeking missile towards the dummy. It was only a few eye-blinks worth of time as she came around from behind the dummy crashing into it as she morphed again into a mess of octopus and tentacles. A few squeezes and flashing eyes later, Cayley morphed again, this time into a particularly vocal squirrel (as she was laughing) and burrowed into her clothes.
Chuckling, "I trust that will do?" she morphed back into her clothes, a practiced move for her as she made sure everything went to their right places. However she could not help but fix herself as her bosom did not quite fix correctly, a sign that her practice was not perfect and that her modesty was flexible. Pulling her tawny, silken hair out from her shirt, she spoke up in a satisfied tone as another training dummy showed up to replace the one she had bowled over, "Swift and to the point, though... I am most certainly capable of enjoying a Nice. And Slow. Encounter."

Vraun smiled with a wide, toothy grin. She had followed, just as he had anticipated. Carefully, he aimed his wand at her and cast two arrows at Alette as she passed by him. One of them missed by inches. The other grazed Alette's jacket.
Damn!
"Incarcerous!"
Thick ropes, conjured out of thin air, appeared in front of his wand and flew at Alette, intent of binding her limbs together. He needed to work fast before she could muster a counter to his spells. A speedy capture was best.

[Leaky Cauldron; Outside]
Anger flared instantaneously, bringing with it a fire to her cheeks and a dangerous glint to her glaring gaze, as the arrows missed her - by but a breath. He own wand was out now, instinctively, and she raised it as she turned towards where the arrows had come. Snakes, no ropes, arced towards her only to be repelled by her own repello charm. They slammed against the magical energy of her own spell, flying back to whence they came.
She couldn't see her attacker, but she recognized the voice. Still, knowing who it was didn't giver her a target and she had precious few moments to find hers..
"Avis!"
A geiser of birds, all blood red in color, sped from her wand in a wide net flight pattern. They'd find her target, splatter against it or rob it of its invisibility - cloak? charm? - and she'd act on her opportunity.

Outside the Leaky Cauldron
Bluebell flames sprouted from Vraun's ebony wand. The weight of it felt nice in his hands, as birds caught fire and dove to the ground in the rain.
Alette wasn't blind, though. Surely, even with charm still up, the bright blue flames were very visible. Casting a defensive charm, Vraun ran to the right, trying to flank her, and kept his wand pointed at Alette, ready to deflect any jinxes she flew his way.
"Densuageo!"
Vraun couldn't see whether his spell had worked. The heavy rain and the dark of night saw to that.
