"I should have said something to her before someone else did." Riley mentioned, before putting his hands back into his face again. His heart was just crushed into pieces, and he didn't think anything would repair it. He knew Scarlet didn't want to hurt him, so he knew there had to be an explanation.

Only then did it sink into her head what had happened. He had left the room looking confident and happy and came back looking heart broken. "I'm very sorry" she said softly stroking his back. "She meant that much to you didn't she."

She quietly massaged his back, an effort to make him feel slightly better. "You could always wait. Things always go wrong in relationships..." her voice was soothing and quiet. "Try to be there for her no matter what. She's bound to see it sooner or later."

"She wouldn't know someone was pinning after her if you tacked it to her forehead." He laughed a bit at that. "She was like that even as a kid. Thanks for being so supportive."

She laughed nervously "It's been cleaned up...but yes.." she took out her wand and whispered something causing a small cauldron to appear over the fire in the chiminy. She added a few waves here and there and the smell of creamy chicken and dumpling soup filled the air. She rose to her feet and grabbed a bowl that was floating next to her. "This will make you feel a lot better. My mom showed me how to do this." she said with a slight blush. She handed him the bowl. "What do you think?"

He laughed. "Smells good." He conjured up two bowls. "Well I can't eat it all by myself."

She smiled at him,glad to be useful. She took the bowl and went to serve herself. "I guess you leave me no choice but to join you." she said sitting down next to him. "I suspect you can cook aswell?...or do you need someone to do it for you?" she asked teasingly.

"Oh I can cook. Just terribly at that." He muttered serving himself a bowl, and grabbing a spoon throwing it to her.

She laughed softly and caught the spoon. "Well we all start somewhere...I usually stand by my mother and watch. I like cooking..sometimes I make cakes and sweets for my sisters and brother. They always seem to enjoy it." she said taking in a spoonful. She squeaked. "Oof..hot"

She laughed. "No..not really..two of them always fuss about looks, one is always studying and the other is always bullying me..My brother works so I don't get to see too much of him.." she said with a shrug. "I imagine that if I was to spend more time with him, I'd treat him like I am treating you right now."
