Well, I just ordered 100 rounds of steel-core Bulgarian surplus.
And .45ACP HOLLOW POINTS! REASONABLY PRICED!
God, I love Ammo To Go.

Yes. Like I always do. xp Everyone else should be rubbing it in that I don't actually have any ammo for it yet! I've only ordered it, and it might take a few more days to process, then a week or so to ship.

Erhem.
HA! You don't actually have ammo for it yet! It'll take about a week or so to ship, not to mention processing and handling! You'll be sitting at your window watching your mailbox for about two weeks before it arrives on a holiday, then they have to deliver the next day, but then they lost it so now you don't have jack.
Cough Erh-Erhem.
Happy? ;D

"I am a Sith and I will destroy all for which you have fought for..." Better. They STARTED processing yesterday. I have no clue how long it'll take after that. On the upside, I get paid some time early this week! I should be able to send a double-payment for the M1 Carbine (I had to skip last months because of the drama) and still be able to afford 440 more rounds. Though I might skip the more ammo and get a Lee Anniversary Kit and dies for x54R and the supplies to start reloading it.

HOLY s**t. I'm uneducated.
I JUST found out that the Mosin has a safety, and that you can lock the bolt open.
And yes, I know. Burly Russian: "safety, what safety? Vintovka Mosina is rifle. Is not safe."

Ammo shipped today!
100 rounds of Bulgarian Steel Core Surplus--$26 20 rounds of Hornady XTP +P (.45ACP) -- $15 Shipping -- $9 and change
UPS should be picking it up in two hours, so then I can see when I should be getting that.
Afterwards, I think I'll order 20-40 rounds of Czech surplus from AIM, because they have it $4.95 a box. If it turns out that it shoots well, I can get 800 rounds of it for $170 in a huge sealed tin inside a resealable crate. It doesn't need the damned can openers, it has pull tabs. I can save a bit getting the copperwashed russian light ball getting 880, but you can't try it out in less than 440, and you have to order 880 to get the can opener.

The Brown Truck of Happiness just dropped off my ammo.
Hornady loves decorating their boxes, and uses the good plastic ammo trays.
Bulgarians, not so much. Plain single-layer cardboard, filled with pure win and awesome. 100 rounds of it! Now I need to get to the range sometime and try it out.

And now the unboxing! Not quite, actually. I dumpped out the packing peanuts and put the boxes of ammo back in as they were.
