Arashe smirked as he saw Ed and Amelia rush off to face the god head-on. As much as he'd wanted to go into close range, he was significantly more capable from a distance. So, to satisfy his desire to get closer, he restrained himself to only a few steps forward, putting himself within arm's reach of the Rei statue.
"Striking a lady, are you Loki? How absolutely barbarous..." He shook his head, this time firing off a volley of arrows, this time aimed for the head, his pace quickened by the heat of battle.

"Right. I'd be more than happy to talk about it with Tea and cookies. As long as you cook better than my son." John laughed as he walked with the Octavio back to the group and started thinking seriously for a moment. "Is there anything you did to this thing that made him flinch or something of that sort?" John asked to octavio seriously for a moment.

Loki staggered back, finally tossing the wolf off of himself as he walked backwards, deflecting what attacks he could. He had expected a charge, but so much was overwhelming even him! Arrows fired by the blessed Myulgre and Ichival thudded into his chest as he backed away, catching and casting aside four of Fa's attacks. The fifth ground against his palm, burning it badly before he tossed it away, just before Nino's Fimbulvetr struck and forced him back even further. "Rrrgh," he hissed, casting whips of flames out, lashing them against his foes as he floated back further, trying to get out of range while flames snapped and coiled and struck at his attackers.
And one lashed out a bit farther than he intended and struck across a certain petrified Druid.
It left a gash in the stone... and underneath that gash was exposed skin. The stone began to fall away as Loki's flame drew away the curse, pulling it away from Rei to restore it to its master's power!
Rei was free at last.
Váli, meanwhile, was having the time of his life. A foot, really? Trying to step on him? Ha! He shot between Amelia's legs and scurried toward Ephraim, running for safety right between the prince's legs. He turned and skidded to a halt right there and looked up. He knew this was a weak spot for male humans...
He jumped straight up, quite high, and bit with sharp rodent teeth.

Ed was trying to hang onto the dark god's arm, shaking her head furiously to tear as much of his flesh as possible without even really thinking if it did that much to, well, a god, but she eventually slipped away. The taste of it was still fresh on her fangs. Thirsting for more, Ed prepared another attack on Loki, jerking toward him in the beginning stages of a new attack, when she noticed...
...an adorable, furry creature firing off a terrible spell at Ephraim.
And, well, Ed hadn't eaten since maybe a few hours ago.
Suddenly the wolf aborted her current attack, falling to the ground, claws clattering against the stone. In an instant the wolf had launched herself right for the chinchilla, jaws wide open for the kill, wide open for dinner!

Octavio got distracted by what Amelia had done... If it was that easy, why couldn't he have killed Vali? He sighed as he watched the rodent come out again... No, he was fine... Augh...
He looked back at John. "H-huh?" He thought... Oh, he remembered what he had said. "N-no... I never caught him off guard... It looks like this is working, though... Look at him!"
Nino shot off a couple more spells of Fimbulvetr, then noticed that Loki had hit the statue. She turned and ran back over. "Rei?!" She screamed.

Fa tried harder to quickly summon more energy from with in her self. "Hruuuahh HA!" she cried as she pulled on giant mass of light energy shaped into a sword. "Hiiiyaaaahh!" she yelled as she jumped up into the air and slashed Loki on his arm and flying back.
"Ay That it is pal. Lets keep bombarding him with attacks so he cant defend himself." John stated as he nocked two arrows and let em loose towards loki's face.

Loki's flame whips were hurting, that much was true. He could hurt... but Rhys could heal more! A Fortify found its way across the bridge, working its healing mojo on everyone it could (Renault being the exception, since he was quick to fall off). Rhys was putting proverbial mustard on these Fortifies--wounds were healing as fast as Loki was dishing them out!

Madriana didn't see anything she could do... She doubted if her dark magic would do very much about the Dark God... She reached into her coat where she had a ew pockets where she kept a couple of tomes...
No way...
Eriskegal and Hell? Where did they come from? Where did Nosferatu go? She shook her head... She moved forward a bit, past the boy who had emerged from the statue... Past Nino whom had stopped attacking...
What a distraction. This man is smarter than I thought. He knew that boy would distract some of the fighters... Fools...
But I will attack! I am good~
...Enough of that!!
She moved to where she could have a shot at the God. She raised her hand and read a couple of words from the tome... Then... "ERISHKEGAL!" Dark energy formed around her in a mist and then shot towards Loki!

Amelia swung again at Vali's neck, but she missed. The little thing was faster than she would've thought. Any other time, fighting a tiny rodent would have been humiliating, but this creature was under Loki's command. That made it formidable enough. She moved to slash at him before he could find safety, but then the little white blur leaped up, and...
Chomp.
Amelia winced. Ed, however, had the right idea, and was lunging for Váli as soon as the little creature began to fall. Even then... Ephraim's dignity would have to suffer.
Ed and Ephraim had Váli's attention. She turned to Loki, scowling. Her eyes darkened. She did not scream this time, just ran forward, feinted to the left, and then came at him from the right, aiming to plunge the sharp blade of her naginata deep into his chest. "Burn in hell," she hissed.
Blossom, meanwhile, had finally caught up to the others. He was so busy with them, perhaps he wouldn't notice her... that would be the perfect opening... Blossom braced herself, then ran for his side, aiming to slice the weapon deep into his knees.

Sue noticed the bursts of flames free Rei, and she was relieved that he was finally escaped of the horrors of petrification. She was on a battlefield though... but at least she knew she could fulfill her mission, here and now. She nocked another arrow of Myulgre, firing. "I'll... protect you Rei... no matter what."

Tibarn was fully engrossed in avoiding the blasts of magic flying in all directions, whipping around in circles, grabbing people in his talons and moving them out of the way of Loki's attacks occasionally. Loki was a solitary target, and too small for Tibarn to get in close and do any real damage without hurting his friends or taking friendly fire.
So he waited and watched, and when he had the chance, his talons would tear and rip and shred.

...a snap.
Senses flooded into the boy as the stone began chipping away. The layer of stone quickly fell as the Druid began to stir, his joints cracking from staying in the exact same position for as long as he had. But, despite the pain he endured prior to petrification, the boy was, oddly enough, rejuvenated, as if a new life was breathed into his core.
Wh-where am I...? Everything flooded back to him. Mika, the fight, Hel, Synra, and being turned into a statue. Steadily, he staggered to his feet as flames whipped around the area. Shouts and explosions echoed through the room as Rei looked around, legs still shaking as he glanced at the abyss on both sides.
He looked toward the carnage, allies already in combat. Under sheer impulse, the boy reached into his cloak. A slight gasp crept from his lips as he remembered that his Fenrir tome was destroyed as a physical shield, and that Erebus was about as powerful as his mind, a gamble he wished not to take with his recent revival.
So, a vengeful, twisted grin sneaked its way into his face, eyes burning with hate as it dawned on him that the figure they were all fighting was Loki himself, the man that caused his petrification. His hand shook as it reached into a pocket on his cloak, grasping a tome as it retreated into view.
Really, he couldn't stop laughter from flowing from his body, the rage fueling his actions reminiscent of the darkness he'd vanquished during Asami's attack. The tome in his hand opened, glowing a deep purple, nearly black, glow as the pages began to turn to one unused.
"Loki, you should have killed me when you had the chance..." His hand began to glow, almost as if hellfire ebbed into the air above it. A dark fog formed high above the platform, energy crackling as the incantation began.
"Forces of darkness, servants of hell, enter this world. I command thee, shadows of the earth, rend my foe to pieces and drag it to the abyss! Apocalypse!"
The dark fog crackled more and more until a loud explosion echoed through the cave. A vortex manifested amongst the fog, pure energy swirling in the nexus. With a downward hand motion, jets of pure darkness rocketed from the portal. The streams halted in the air before twisting and turning in all manner of paths until they one by one converged on the God of Chaos.

Octavio felt the pain leaving him... All those Fortifys Rhys was casting were really helping him...
However...
I failed... What he put me through was all my fault to begin with... I never should have come in here on my own.
But I was supposed to be able to do it on my own. Ashera... I'm confused... Why did I fail so badly? Why did I... lose like that? How come he could hurt me so terribly, but my spell did nothing? ... I don't understand.
Perhaps... in Loki's weakened state... Aesir will hurt him! Feeling his strength return was a blessing and it filled him with confidence... He could try again now...
He wondered... If this was another rash decision...
If I don't attack him, what if they fail? What if I lose my chance because I don't do it now? What if I do it now, and he finishes me? What if I don't, and he picks off anyone who could help me until it's just me?!
This thought was too much for him. He turned away from John, after helping him sit behind the front lines...
He ran back down the pathway, avoiding the fire and the weapons of his allies...
One Chance.
He had this one chance. In the state Loki is in, Aesir might do something. Loki won't be ready to counter it! He won't be ready, and that's the key. He has to be caught off guard!
Octavio stood still and raised his staff. "AESIR!" He called. It shined brightly.. Black clouds formed in the air... Octavio watched as Apocalypse was cast on the Dark god...
Electricity began to crackle in the air. Paired with Apocalypse, this could work! Suddenly, a massive bolt of lightening shot forth towards Loki...
