La Belle Bleu Man, I am TOTALLY queen of the nerds! xD *flails arms* I've been nominated as such on several different occasions biggrin Lehmee see...I'm a supremely insane Role Play nerd. (didn't have time to properly learn all the intricate madness of D&D, not for lack of trying xD *looks forlornly to Malaysia*) , I'm the most massive bookworm in my circle of friends. (currently hunting for a book I lost domokun It's called 'Wise Child'), I'm the Blue Man nerd of Hamilton...heh...They're coming to Toronto..heh..hehe hehe...*brain explodes*, I'm an X-Men geek. Because mutants rule. o_o Random genres of music geek. I hate NONE of it. (I only moderately loathe rap :/) and..uhh...I THINK that's aboot it. Wait. I'm Canadian. THERE. Thoughtful_Marine I contest that... I say I am Queen of the nerds!! 3nodding I'm a major rp nerd (and I've been rping for 6 years now...) I'm a book nerd... (I read 7-800 words a minute) I'm currently reading "The Hero within" it's about psychological archetypes... It's really good pick up a copy!! 3nodding I'm a video game geek, I've been playing video games since I was 5, so for 14 years.. I play almost every type of game except most sport games... the exceptions are racing, skateboarding, and snowboarding.... (I'm mostly fond of rps... 3nodding ) I'm a music geek, I love most things except for some rap and some heavy metal... I even listen to folk and stuff!! whee I actually enjoy history class and I love writing papers for school.... I just love writing whee oh yeah... and my glasses help too i guess... whee maybe we should call you Queen of the Canadian nerds and me queen of the American nerds? for he simple fact that you enjoy History... you get to be queen of the American nerds xD *nearly flunked from that class* but yes, we'll need to hold a conference and recruit more nerdy underlings xd

then to be honest... I'm actually English by citizenship.... though you canna tell it from the way I speak..... sad ( I've been here in the U.S since I was 2 and a half.... 3nodding

Hmmm...haven't been here awhile. well, I doubt anyone noticed.
Anyway, I actually think being a "geek" is a good thing. Think of it this way: geeks aren't cool, yes? Well, what is cool? Smoking? Doing drugs? Failing school? Hurting others? Commiting crimes? SOunds like "cool" sucks to begin with. I'd rather NOT be cool.
Then again, geeks are actually better than most cliche groups. think about it: they (or we, rather...I am one....) are a bit more eccentric than the average person. This means we have crativity, and a certain intelligence others do not have. We are original.
Of course, that is just my opinion on the matter.

Anyway, to continue my disucssion, a geek is someone who excells in a certain category while doing mediocre in others. Stevely, it is someone who loves one thing, and likes other things. THAT IS EVERYONE.
See where I'm going with this? People who think cliche stereotypes are the norm are wrong. I call myself a geek out of fun. I'm just another guy. You all are just people. no one is a geek, or a jock, or a prep, or goth..they just have different personalities. Yes, I know i am contradicting myself, but I still do not like the idea of labelling someone based on old stereotypes.

I love dnd I just don't really get to play it *pouts* and I'm very much so a video game nerd... some frineds of mine were talking about zombies on the bus today and my entire contribution to the subject was, "Zombies are vulnerable to White and Holy magic" it just kinda popped out... sweatdrop FF:Tactics Advance blaugh I've been playing it for weeks 3nodding I'm also an rp nerd.... and oh yeah... I'm a choir/music nerd too!! hehe... I think being a nerd/geek is awesome, nothing better to be in life!! 3nodding You don't all have to agree with me but *shrugs* it would be interesting to hear your opinions!!I know this was written a while ago but I just gotta say that nerds rock!!! P.S. yes I wear glasses. No they aren't taped and no I don't even own a pocket protector. xp oh and I'll rememeber to make sure each post has a purpose!! 3nodding I just gotta say that nerds rock! Not sure I'm a nerd myself (more of a book worm) but back in high school I always went for the soft spoken guy in glasses over the jocks!! Guy that are into things other than sports and rather than themselves are incredably sexy!
