"Don't touch me!" Thorn growled suddenly. She glared off into the distance. "If you guys hadn't come I'd be perfectly fine right now. I could've handled it." she growled. "And no, I cannot stand."

Kona hung her head. "I am deeply sorry." she whispered. "Help me carry Thorn to the den!" she called. Her stomach was flipping uncontrollably. If one of the pack had been infected, there would be no way to tell for sure. Her tail swished nervously, her thoughts spinning.

 Sero looked at the wolves and could not bear the guilt. If he hadn't come and tried to take the moose down, not as many of his pack mates would have been hurt. The male dropped his head and began to walk away. "I'm sorry," he said half-heartedly before running off into the forest.
Hours past as he ran away from the area. He needed to be alone. The male sprinted through the frozen forest, dodging random trees as if in a skiing competition. "Why can I never help anyone out?" he yelled aloud as he skidded to a stop, "I've always just been a burden to everyone... maybe it would have been better if I just died back then when I had. Mother... Father... forgive me."
Sero slumped to the ground, a mess. The male's past kept haunting him, torturing his every though. He covered his muzzle with his paws and closed his eyes. "I just want to be with you once more..." Sero mumbled before falling into a deep sleep.

Kona's eyes welled with tears as Sero sprinted off into the forest. Her heart was so pained. The pack seemed stunned, disordered, and hurt. Her grief grew greater. She shook her head. "No" she thought, "I will not falter. This pack will survive." She looked down at Thorn, and then to the whole pack. "I will not fail this pack." she proclaimed. "We must eat soon. I will go and gather more food. This moose be damned." she said, and spit upon it. "The herd is still nearby. We will take some of the calves for sustenance."

Blood examined his tail. It didn't look bad. Blood shouted to his pack, "Who got injurded the least? Who ever is least injurded and I will go hunting." Blood walked over to Starfall and asked, "Are you ok? That was a reckless thing to do. Shouting at the moose. What were you thinking? You weren't thinking, that's what you were doing. Don't EVER do that again, ok! I don't know what I would do with out you. Oh and whaile I'm gone look for something to cover the wounds with, ok." He rubbed up against Star.
Star squirmed away from Bloodnight. She said, " I'm ok dad. I just didn't want the moose to hurt you!" Looking at Thorn she added, "I'll go look for something to stop the bleeding, ok."

Kona nodded to Blood. "I will come. Ryu! Look after Thorn while we're gone, it shouldn't be long." she said. "Star, find a good fir tree with low hanging boughs, grab as many as you can and carry them back. Make sure they are green, we'll need the sap." Kona turned and walked with Blood out of the clearing. They walked silently toward the now grazing herd of moose. She stalked closer under the cover of some trees and spotted three calves, almost nearing adolescence, their muscles rippling under their brown hides. They would do well. She looked over her shoulder to Blood. "How shall we attack?" she asked.

Walking beside Kona Blood sigh. He was thinking about how close that moose had gotten to hurting Star. He wanted to make it pay! As soon as Blood saw the moose herd he charged straight into one and bit it hard. He was atachted to it's antler. He pulled down hard and broght the full grown moose down with him. Blood grabbed the moose's neck and bit and bit and bit until he was covered in blood. Blood had a crazy look in his eyes. He glared at Kona. Then all of a sudden Blood was clam.
Star ran over to a fir tree and found one that had really low Boughs that were a nice shade of green. She grabbed as many as she could and walked over to Thorn. Star said, "Here you go Thorn!" Star smiled at Thorn. biggrin

Kona watched Blood tear by her, kicking up lightly powdered snow as he went. Her eyes widened. "Not that he hasn't done this before" she thought as she watched him viciously attack a bull. She sighed and loped after him. The bull would be enough for the whole pack to eat. Kona's fears momentarily subsided. At least for tonight, they would be fed. "We better carry this back to camp" she said to Blood. He was quiet. "Blood? C'mon." she said. He seemed calm, as he always did after a kill. Hid bloodlust was a problem to watch out for, but he was a good-hearted wolf. She approached and rubbed her head against his, trying to clean off some of the blood. She walked back to the felled bull. "After we get this to camp, we'll carry Thorn back on the fir boughs and drip sap into her wound, hopefully that'll help it bind. And thank you for the kill", she added. She grabbed ahold of one of the buck's hind legs and started to slowly drag it towards the den.

Blood rolled around in the snow to get the blood off of him. He grabbed one end of the moose and dragged it to the camp. He was careful not to draw blood from the area he had in his mouth just in case he went crazy again.

Thorn stared at Star questioningly. "Do you know what they're panning to do to me?" she asked quietly. She felt bad for snapping at Kona, but knew she would never be able to apologize. Thorn was too stubborn. Suddenly a random stab of panic flooded through Thorn as she relived the moment when the bull charged her. She remembered latching onto it's leg and then being kicked off. She started dragging herself towards the camp with only her front legs. A trail of blood was left behind. Tears welled up in Thorn's eyes at the pain of dragging herself, but she had a determined look on her face.

Star was worried about Thorn's wound. She asked, "Do you want me to help you? You probaly shouldn't move like that." Star was upset that Thorn was being so stuberen that she was risking hruting herself even more.

"I'm fine!" Thorn snarled. She continued dragging herself. But she wasn't headed to the camp. She appeared to be heading in the direction that Sero had run off in.

Star had a hurt look. She ran off twoards camp not wanting Thorn to see her tears. Star completly forgot about the boughs.

Sero woke hours later, groggy and tired still. He stood up and stretched out his body. The wind was still, yet Sero felt an air of disturbance. His feelings were snapped when reality hit his senses. The brute's ears perked as he heard a soft crunching noise. It was snow, and what sounded like paws. The sound grew louder and louder until Thorn appeared from behind the same row of bushes that he appeared through. "Uh... Thorn, what are you doing here?" Sero was shocked to see the femme this far out from the pack's area, "Shouldn't you be getting cared for?"
The male wolf took a step closer to Thorn, but still being cautious. Snow began to fall as he stepped forward, but the trees provided shelter from the white, fluffy compound. "Thorn... you should go back to the den," Sero spoke in a soft, relaxing tone. He did not want to be near anyone at the moment, "I think that the others will be looking for you. I will be fine on my own, but you need to take care of your wounds."
The windless day was becoming unsettling to the brute. Sero was on edge, but was still his calm self. He didn't know what to do. If he left and never came back, he could find the doctors once more, but it would be highly unlikely. The brute could escape the diseased area entirely and be free from the hell that he escaped from when he was a pup, but he would lose his friends in the pack. The choices were vast for him, but all nought without a consequence.

"Thay drive me crazy. I'm only going to leave if you can make me." Thorn growled. She relaxed a little, but her fur was still bristling. She started shaking from the cold flakes that were falling and the cold breeze. She set her head down on the ground and closed her eyes partially. Her breathing was ragged and shallow. She puffed her fur up against the cold but the wind soaked through it like she had just jumped into a lake that was frozen over for the summer.
Thorn glared up at Sero. "I don't really want to be around other wolves right now either but if I don't have someone nearby, I'll either freeze to death or be killed by a bigger animal." She curled into a small ball and shivered.
