I've heard people say that there is a differece between a work bench and an Alter. So is that true or is it just for some people? If so what is the difference?

don't get any big ideas, they're not going to happen...I've never heard of a "work bench" in this context. But... I suppose... I do know some people who have full time, dedicated altar for particular deities. These altars are for no other purpose but to serve as a shrine. So I guess in that case, you would have a separate "working" altar. However, this isn't a standard in neopaganism. If you don't feel the need to (or aren't called upon to have) a dedicated shrine, then no, your altar is where you work. ...you'll go to hell for what your dirty mind is thinking.

To the one that I serve An altar is where you would pray where as the work bench is where the herbs would be cut, the tailsmans crafted and what not. It happens when people have a Stang they use. I will give my all

@FlyingPinkElefantSaysMeow
Thanks, I had picked them the same day that photo was taken. What I really need is a Statue of Lucifer and Umbria for my altar. I can use Apollo for Lucifer, since they are inherently the same, just a different name in a different place. But Umbria is the hard one. Any sugggestion?

Quote: Lucifer Italian god of sun and light. Brother and soulmate of Diana, father of Aradia. Quote: Umbria Italian goddess of shadows and things which are hidden or secret. Lucifer and Umbria. The two Deities I find most appealing from the culture of my decent.

Is it necessary for the altar to face the position where the sun rises by morning? I was told it should... Is it relevant? Why should it?

Rune WolfHaven send me off to bible school and tell me I was going to hell. Mehehehe... Bible Camp xP On a Side note: I feel like my Alter is empty, my budget is sort of low so all I have are some Yellow, Purple, Red, Green, and Orange candles, a Goblet, an Athame (Or however you spell it), Incense burners, and little things that have meaning to me like Rune stones and this little plate. ^^
