Yayoi-sama There's this one thing about being attracted to the same sex as you that bothers me a lot. From my point of view everyone is a lot more approving when it comes to girl/girl, but guy/guy is most of the time something disgusting and no way in the seven circles of hell would it get approval from anyone. I really can't help but wonder that what's the thing that makes girl/girl relationships more... popular? Or something like that. I just... don't get it. I, myself, just to get to the topic, am approving the marriages. Here in Finland all these couples can do is to register their relationship - so no marriage here... I wish it would be possible on some day. That's because men think lesbians are hot and its erotic to see two girls kissing although i cant see how is it going to be erotic

Guys are weird. I can't say anything else than that. They are weird to me and I'll probably never understand them. XD

I think it should be legal.
I don't see a problem with it; if two people love each other they should be able to get married, regardless of gender.

DEMONN_NNIK O.M.F.G the poll says that most people voted ut to be entirely legal maybe cuz there is more openness in teh internet Remember that many Gaians are in the younger demographics (no offence to anyone here, it's just a rough generalisation—and I'm not just talking teenagers, either) as well, and the young tend to be more open to this issue. Before anyone freaks out on me gonk , let me cite one of the many articles on the subject at Positive Liberty.
The way I see it, as someone who is very pro-gay rights, and happens to have identified as bisexual from a young age, nobody's opinion for or against homosexuality should matter. It should not matter whether you hate gays or are gay or just support the cause. Why? Because if the government is going to have benefits for the married, marriage has become civil. The Church (noting that many different religions and denominations have had marriage since the dawn of time, but just naming a major player) cannot have its cake and eat it too. If it wants to be recognised by the government, it must abide by the government's 'equal' distribution of civil rights. If it doesn't want to let gays marry, then it cannot expect to get preferential treatment by the government.

And here in Finland it's really, really repulsing (at least for me) to hear that kids at the age of 7 and up already use the word - I think that they even don't know yet what that means. >__>

Uhhh, liking pink and being "bitchy" isn't the same as being gay o__OHe's discriminating against pink! How dare he?! And ya, what colors you wear don't show what your temperament is. @Demonn: Also, a guy liking pink doesn't mean that they're gay; that's like saying if he likes black he's emo. One just means he likes pink, and the other that he likes black. You really can't assume anything just from the colors people like. The word gay is soooooo overused... and honestly I dislike the word. I much prefer to call them homosexuals rather than gay. And I hate how people use it for when they think something is weird "that's so gay" @Topic: I think that homosexuals should be able to get married if they want to, I find it a really silly argument to be honest, they should just legalize it and be done with it. It's silly how if you're a homosexual and you get married were it's legal and then move to a state that it's not legal that the marriage becomes null unless you're somewhere it's legal. It's just stupid. "So, you're married?" "If we're in California yes, but in Utah it's not a legal marriage..." that's just weird.

meh im against gay marriage. i don't see the point behind it. you're SUPPOSED to NATURALLY be attracted to the opposite sex. gay marriage is unnatural and goes against a ton of things.
earlier in this thread, there was a post talking about how homosexuals were killed in earlier times: ever heard of sodom and gommorah? the old bible story where both towns were full of homosexuals and God smited the place. it is now known as the Dead Sea. Pleasant thought, isn't it?
