bright but focused too much. It fits, and that one is actually more of a cultural value that their parents instill in them because over there schooling is either so competive or so rare that you have to put all your effort into it.

Haha! Technically Asian person weighing in here to say that...
...Yes, it's true, we have no common sense. ^.^
No, really, I am technically Asian, being of mostly Pakistani descent, but most people would take a look at me and assume I'm an Arab. So! Stereotypically, I was never educated, my father/brother/potential-future-husband beats me up all the time and I don't leave the house without a burqa on!
(Seriously, who would wear one of those in Australia? I'd die of heat stroke or something.)
When people find out I'm from Australia, I get a lot of, "really? So, do you have, like, lots of kangaroos there and stuff?" And then, once they find out I live in a coastal area, they move on to, "do you know how to surf, then?" Um. Yes, I've seen kangaroos before - I used to live in on an acreage in the middle of nowhere and I've seen them on highways and occasionally in my back yard, but now that I live in a relatively urbanised area, I never see them. And as for knowing how to surf...
...
AHAHA. That is all I have to say to that. I hate getting wet with a vivid, burning passion (showers and the occasional dance in the rain are exceptions).

[Shadow.Elven-mage] AHAHA. That is all I have to say to that. I hate getting wet with a vivid, burning passion (showers and the occasional dance in the rain are exceptions). Hate getting wet? How is this possible? I find the concept ridiculous. In fact, I reject your reality and choose to substitute my own, where you are in fact merely afraid of drowning. *says the lifeguard who loves swimming*

And power-hungry Slytherin loved those of great ambition...|> ---|I have a cat's fear of water. I just...don't like getting wet. Like I said, showers and rain are exceptions, but I've never liked swimming.|--- <|Look, it's a walking, talking paradox!
