Faolan grinned back at some of the other didikai around. The children that had been there with their parents grinned back at the man and darted off toward William, gathering mud and rotten fruit on their way.

Ellandra giggled. "I always wanted to do watch that happen to him,"she said as she watched the children approach the man and listened to his howls of rage - which quickly turned into whimpers of pain and lots of whining.

Faolan rested an arm casually about his wife's shoulders, watching the children pelt the outsider with mud and rotten fruit. "How d'you like your first taste of exacting didikai justice on someone?"

Ellandra giggled. "Rather fitting, in this case, I think," she said, just a tiny bit on the smug side. Another soft snore from Rhian prompted her to look down at the somehow-still-asleep flutterby in her arms, and she rolled her eyes fondly. "We'd best get her inside, before someone asks why in the world I have a puppet that snores."

The young man nodded. "Alreet, lover. Besides, Ah'd like t' exercise a few of me husband-y rights on you." He grinned a bit, walking with her to the vardo. "Wait till you see th' queenie stove Ah joost installed, too."
A small boy ran up and tugged on Fao's pant leg. "His suit's all ruin't joost like you wanted." The kid grinned at the halfbreed and then giggled with Fao ruffled his hair affectionately.
"There's a good lad, Barin. Run along noo an' go play," Faolan said, shooing the kid away in a playfully fim way.

Ellandra smiled at Faolan, and then down to the small boy as he hugged her husband's leg. Watching him run off, she smiled softly. "He seems like a nice little one," she said, her eyes following the child for a few minutes before turning back to her husband. "And what's this about that stove you've been working on?"

"Oh, aye. Barin's a great kid. His mother beat the snot out of me when birthin' him, though," Faolan said, accent lessening now that he was calmer. He watched the boy with a soft wistfulness that might have made one wonder if the boy was his. He shook his head a bit and looked down at Elle. "The stove, my darlin' wife, is so you can cook us some meals on occasion. It's small, but will do for most cookin', I think."

Ellandra caught the look in his eyes and grabbed his hand, pressing it to her belly. "Remember, you've always got these two, no matter what else has happened," she said softly before tilting her head. "And what are you wanting me to cook first on this new stove, hmm?"

Faolan nodded, patting his wife's belly affectionately. "I know. I just feel protective over them sometimes. They're like my own kids, even if I didn't father them. I helped deliver most of them and looked after them." He shrugged, giving her a sheepish grin. "I just like kids." He stepped up and entered their vardo, holding out a hand to show off the new stove. "There it is, lass? She's a beauty, eh? I suppose I could find some eggs for you to cook up, if'n you want."

"Eggs? Really? I thought you'd prefer cheesecake first," she said, but she was teasing, she'd need more than this to make the infamous cake of cheese. Still, being able to cook little meals now and then was a wonderful option.

Faolan looked at the stove. "I ain't too sure you can cook somethin' like that on there. I mean, it ain't got an oven."

"I can't," Ellandra admitted, hugging her husband.. "Besides, didn't we have. . . other things to do before trying out the stove?" She asked sweetly.

"Aye, well . . . I was gonna finish up with some of the renovations," Faolan said obliviously, returning the hug to his wife.

Ellandra rolled her eyes and pushed him lightly towards the bedroom. "Renovations later, Faolan, right now I want to push the thought of William Telemacchus Jr. as far from my mind as possible - that's you task for the next little while."

"Well then, lass, That be a task Ah'll be takin' t'heart," Faolan purred, accent thickening. "You won't b'even rememberin' his name when Ah'm done, wife." He tugged her into the bedroom and shut the door.
