Calibe suppressed a look of mild disgust when Locke wouldn't let it go, his red eyes flattening, though he kept a small smile on his lips. Nadeshiko was perfectly fine with the child she was holding for the dragon and the drow, Locke was just being silly. Calibe wanted to socialise, not spy on his daughter, though he could keep an eye on her while he was here. Really, he wasn't that bad and Locke knew it.
"Eh...? Locke, please.." He frowned when the other spoke, then stormed off a few minutes later, only for him to be faced with Cielen, Locke's brother. What? He stared in confusion at the other. "Sure....?" He answered, tone confused.
xxxx
Calentze sent a withering look to his bonded, not looking at all impressed over the other's reception of his views. Really. Just because he wasn't social didn't mean it was a bad thing. He liked his research, he yearned for breakthroughs and new discoveries. "I spend time with you. I'd rahter not with Talon, honestly." He replied, wincing, how had such a brat come about, really? He would have found a hole, if it had been interesting enough. It had to be interesting of coarse. Maybe if it was full of interesting kinds of Oni...or a few contraband dark objects. Yes, he'd happily nest in it.
"Shu--.." He levelled Cielen with an upset gaze, cutting his words off before he landed himself in deeper trouble. He stared at the other still, looking even more bothered and angry when Cielen went to see Calibe. He stood there, watching, when Talon commented. He levelled his son with an annoyed glare, reaching out to tap him round the back of the head with a hand.
"Shut up, you ingrate." He muttered, not pleased that Talon had something over his head.
xxxx
"Watch it!" Macy felt like ducking when Zubi swung the bottle around, trying not to get hit by it. He frowned at the other, tempted to step away and drop him. Seriosuly. He was being obnoxious. He pretty much did stagger back when Zubi commented on his ear, looking slightly grossed out. "Ugggh..." He muttered, moving over to Bayne when Zubi knocked the bottle against one of his horns, looking agitated.
"He better not rub off badly on Estelle, I'll kill 'im." He muttered, his mood not exactly stellar all of a sudden.
xxxx
"Hmm...oh.." Nadeshiko paused, staring at Talon. Oh...eeewwww. She pulled a face, cuddling Phatasma closer to her. Stupid Talon..! She caught his eye and poked her tongue out at him, before turning to look over her shoulder at Gunner. "Oooh, it's yummy! I recommend the chocolate fondant cakes~" She commented, before focusing on walking and Phantasma.
"Oooh, you're so cute, Phantasma~!" She cooed at the baby, letting her latch onto her bunny rabbit plushie. Oooh, she wanted to keep her...! She pressed a kiss to Phantasma's cheek, talking to her as the baby babbled at her.

The drow gave a snort, giving a full smile as Gunner mocked expanded in defense of his masculinity. "Oooh, then am I allowed to get all fierce and raaah at people when they try to start something, yes?" He questioned, eyes narrowed as he attempted to figure out if what he just said was what he meant. "Mmm," He purred slightly at the kiss, wiggling closer against the warmth and pulse and steady beating thrum of the others pulse.
"No, not unless I call father and he smuggled something in for us," he muttered softly. "I'm sure he would find it a ventor worth getting of the couch for." He followed giving a slight smile. Chocolate was always good. It was nearly impossible to screw up chocolate. Unless you added something like banana...ick.
Nathan gurgled happily as a puff of warm breath fluffed his hair. He held out his hands trying to plead for Daddy to do it again. Or Mommy. Either one. He kicked his feet, joyfully.

"I brought the rum!! Oh..Hi Zubi! Bayne! You already brought rum! Excellent!" A very jovial and slightly drunk Raguel made his appearance. He had also enjoyed the chance for some partying that didn't involve Fabien's usual gaggle and a party he could have some real fun it. Despite his nature he did try and somewhat behave himself around his fiance. But drinking was just part of the party. Why go to a party sober when the whole point was to get drunk! The one eyed pirate chuckled as he walked over and threw an arm around his fellow pirate. The necklace with the crown ring hanging from it bounced against his tan chest. Yeah, Raguel was dressed in his usual gear, having felt no inclination to dress up for the occation. Then he noticed Macy. "MACY! Well how long has it been? Nice to see you again!" Always one for the fun until he was properly thwaped across the back of the head with a fan. "OW! What the hell woman!?!" He looked back to the dark skinned, white haired woman behind him. "You could at least have a few manners at a party, I taught you better than that." Calistina, the Head Courtesan of the Goblin Court stood with her arms crossed and the offending fan in one hand. Dressed in her usual blood red dress she looked lovely and sensual as always. However she looked very displeased with her son, as usual. "Do excuse him Macy, you know the lot he spends his time with." She smiled softly before glaring at her son again then wandering off to chat with others she knew well. But she automatically stayed away from all visiting drow, stealing rather mean glances at them while showing a sweet face to all others.

Locke seated himself on a well-placed bench, his expression one of distaste. He, not unlike Calentze, wasn't a very social creature. He'd never really wanted to be here. If Calibe hadn't come to spy on Nadeshiko, Locke certainly didn't see the reason he had come. The Unicorn let a sigh escape his lips as his eyes darted around, taking in both the atmosphere and the setting. He would much rather be all alone in the depths of a large garden. This didn't appeal to him.
"Ah, Cielen..." He muttered softly, assessing his brother who was now grabbing hold of Calibe, looking happy enough about it. Cielen had always gone for this type of thing, after all. Besides, Cielen didn't have to argue about arranged marriages with Calibe.
xxx
Cielen smiled -- a bit viciously -- at Calibe as he agreed. "I don't understand why you're confused, though." He declared, keeping his back obstinately turned to Calentze. "You of all people should know how much Locke hates these things." The Unicorn observed his new dance partner dryly. Locke didn't not like much, and therefore it was always ten times worse when he was doing something he didn't like. It was practically magnified in scope because Locke was generally so docile.
"And now he's sitting on a bench, wringing his hands." The tanned Unicorn sighed, shaking his head and pushing lightly away from Calibe. "Go on and get him." Locke was so inadvertantly good at diverting Cielen's plans.
xxx
Tal watched the goings-on between Calibe and Cielen carefully, rolling his eyes when it didn't turn out. "Maybe he just doesn't go for crazy albinos." The Alicorn shook his head in mock-sympathy, well aware he was getting the best of his father. It was always amusing to poke fun at their rapidly deteriorating relationship.
"Don't worry, Dad, I'm sure there's bound to be someone else here who suits his fancy. It's not like you'd go and get him back, after all. Pride's a b***h, huh?" He was well aware that although Cielen was bonded to Cal, his father still often suspecting things like cheating when he was feeling overly insecure. Talon thoroughly enjoyed stabbing his father's weaknesses, too. It was a not-so-guilty pleasure.
He rolled his eyes at Nadeshiko, much more concentrated on getting his parents to divorce. That was definitely more fun. He'd been so close so many times before! Maybe this was finally the last straw.

Lennox had to admitt. He was not certain about attending a party so soon after arrival. He was hardly settled in...but...the opportunity it offered was not something he had been willing to pass up. Lennox felt it was a prudent measure to send Clay a small note letting the goblin know in advance he was taking up the invintation. It would not suit if his watcher came to check on him and found him missing after all! So then, after sending the small note he had brushed his hair, cleaned his little accessories, made certain his robes were nice and presentable, then donned his bag with his scribing instruments in them and had headed off to this manse. Now...he had to admitt he did get turned around a bit. He was still un-used to this place after all!
When he did arrive, Lennox's curiousity warred with his shy desire to hang in the background. In the end, it was the latter that won out. Perhaps interactions was not his fate. Right now dusty tomes and endless rows of scrolls in some dry dark library really was appealing. Lennox's purple eyes drifted over the crowds...and he found himself staring time and again at the gathered crowd. Now, while he had seen so many mingled out on the streets, it was something entierly different to see them at a fancy gathering like this....

Hello now? What was this? What is this? Zephyr had enjoyed reading and re-reading the invitation to the garden party. It had made him smile to recieve such a thing. In fact, he had been so happy he had skipped his way towards the inviting manse. His small feathered wings ruffled in his glee and he consciously ran his fingers through his streaked hair. Once he arrived though... a impish smile curled Zephyr's lips. Rather then entering the garden to be greeted, Zephyr allowed his innate magic to wrap around him. He vanished from sight. Invisible now, Zephyr gently floated off the ground and he used his wings to gently push himself along. Maybe he would talk to someone...maybe...but for now he wanted to hover and watch the others who were enjoying the party...ooh? Was that wine? Well...maybe he could indulge a little bit....He'd never had wine before....

The dragon rumbled with amusement at Nathan, repeating his previous action and puffing warm breath at his son disheveling the drowgon's pale hair with a smile before lowering his head as he lifted his son to blow raspberries over his stomach, making a plethora of strange noises at him again.
"I'll consider letting you strike, my love.. It depends how manly I'm feeling at that time!" He replied though he was fairly muffled from where he was attempting to eat the small child's stomach. "And uhm.. Maybe we should wait and see how long it takes to get to the rum before we start getting that desperate, my love!" He replied to the notion of calling up his lovers father.. He still wasn't completely sure what he thought of the older drow.. He could be very nice, and there was no one better to look after the kids and keep them safe and sound, as twisted as that sounded.. He always felt that there was something more to his partners father, that he couldn't quite put his finger on.. It un-nerved him slightly.
"Cake? Hah! You had me at 'yummy'!" He called after Nadeshiko, though it was wonderfully muffled by baby. "That sounds delicious, doesn't it Nathan? Shall we get you all covered in chocolate!?" He made loud eating sounds again against Nathan. What fun!
Phantasma was as happy as could be, clutching tightly at the part of the pink plush that she had grabbed slowly starting to windmill her limbs in excitement. She giggled delightedly as the kiss and babbled back at all those lovely happy noises that the pink thing made at her. This was probably better than the bigger-than-mummy-thing~The helmsman cracked a broad grin as Macy ducked.. It's not like he would have hit him! He was way too good to do something as un-cool as that! "Watch-it? You haven't seen anything yet! At the last port I found this great way of using a handy horned beasty as a bottle-opener! Now if you just hold still for a second.." He advanced with a silly smile on his face, his arms out as he mock-grabbed at the unigon. "No, seriously.. I want a drink.. Someone get the cork out or I'll start getting upset.."Bayne shrugged a little at Macy, "I wouldn't begrudge him too much.. He just misses Kastor at the moment.. He's been like this for a week now.. As amusing as it is." The goblin had known something was up as soon as he had cracked an eye open around mid-day to be greeted with a timid knock on his door and a fae throwing an envelope in his face in fright as he had opened the door. He really needed to do something about his bed-hair if it was starting to get that kind of reaction.. All the same as he'd made his way back to bed to sit and try and untangle some of his hair from one curved horn and a rather flat pillow from the other, the envelope open and the letter unfolded he got this horrible nagging feeling regarding the delicate words presented to him.
Ball.. There had been a ball a while ago.. There had been somthing about it... And it had been pretty consistant with most of the 'formal' events held there.. Someone obsessed with the obscene..
Pirates!
His eye twitched as a few face in particular came to the forefront of his mind.. The bosun and his over-amorous mother were the first, closely followed by the helmsmans love of mischief and drink.. Then the Captain, the King of the Pirates.. In his defence, however, every time Clay had met the elf had had always been a true gentleman.. Just with a wickedly sharp sense of humour.
He almost fell over his own feet and the discarded pillow as he scrambled to find his smarter uniform. So what if he wasn't on duty, there was no way he could turn up in his casual attire at the Winchesten home! Even if this was a mission of epic proportions to keep his young ward free of unsavory concoctions of spirits and preserving his purity! Hopping around as he pulled on almost black trousers he hollered for a horse or something to be made ready as he grabbed at the rest of his smarter clothes eventually finding himself in the dark trousers which were tucked into the top of his dark, smartly polished greaves. He wore a sleeveless top with a high neck of identical colour to his trousers, and long, fingerless gloves that rode to just above his elbow. Over these he wore his vambraces which finished at a gentle point over the back of his hands. He neglected his usual pieces of armour on his shoulders and chest this time.. It wasn't like he was storming the place.. Though he did make a point of wearing a heavy belt with an even heavier sword sheathed at his hip..
It was at the precise moment that he had finished dressing that he had run out of the door, combing his clawed fingers through his hair..
Which had led him to eventually arriving at the right place, like his beast, out of breath and somewhat windswept he staggered a little for a moment before composing himself. It wouldn't look great on his record afterall, Head of the Royal Guard turning up in a state.. Now.. TO find his ward.. He strode through the house he had been admitted to with heavy footsteps and stopped as he made it out and into the gardens. The pirates he spotted right from the go and he trained a stern gaze on them immediately..

Raguel just laughed at Macy and Zubei's antics. He often felt a little sorry for Bayne, after all the shy and easily surprised gunner was the helmsman's usual babysitter. Not even his mother could ruin his good mood tonight, no could the arrival of the Head Guard of the Goblin City. Raguel remembered him well, having got caught by him several times in his youth. He decided to go be friendly, mostly to annoy him. As he walked off he turned back to Bayne. "Seriously, take a cannon to it. Zubei is grumpy with he doesn't get his liquer."
The Bo'Sun of the Maddness strode as best as his slightly tipsy mind could manage towards Clay. He didn't fear the goblin, though he did respect the big ol'sword on his side. Obviously he meant to keep some peace at the party, especially since the last party ended up with the Cap'n storming in guns ablaze and announcing their departure. He giggled a bit at the thought, it had been quite fun. Finally making it to his intended target he smiled brightly. "Why good evening Claymore! It has been ages since I spoke to you last!!"Calistina, on the other hand, was circling the crowd. She needed to know all who had arrived or at least get a good look at them to make mental notes of who to speak to or play her games with. For now, her son was keeping somewhat to proper social rules, or at least the best he could in his condition and environment. How she wished Macy had kept Estelle in the castle instead of on that deaded ship. Hardly a place for a lady. But for now she looked over the new people who had entered. Taking a glass of good wine provided she took a few sips before noticing a new face. An elf who seemed a little lost in the crowd.
Her ice blue eyes looked him over, observing any movements and expressions. Her job afforded her a great talent in reading people without speaking to them, which definately helped in the bedroom. But this one merely seemed out of place and quite shy. What would Jareth say if she didn't help new comers become more social? She smirked a bit at what he probubly would say then proceded over to Lennox. Upon arriving before the elf she gave a gentle curtsy. The half drow's dark complextion really made her hair and eyes stand out. She looked older than her years yet younger than she probubly should be. It was an excellent way to confuse people. As she spoke her voice was honeyed, years of practive of putting mens minds' at ease and getting them to trust her. "Good evening dear sir, you do seem a triffle lost. Are you new to the kingdom?" The smell of the ocean wafted into the gardens as a blue skinned figure appeared accompanyed by a pale white figure. Both were barely dressed and their hair was wet. His attire could hardly be considered formal and quite frankly most would think it inappropriate, unless you knew his origins. His hands and bare feet had webbed digits and his long blue hair was decorated in sea shells. A necklace around his slender neck bore a lovely claim with a picture of his mother and sister insde. Ah how he wondered what his little sister Uriel would say if she were here now. She would most likely squeel and start asking people lots of questions the blue skinned man mused with a smile.
The only clothes he wore was a simple wrap that covered his manbits was held on with a beautiful shell. He looked back to his companion to make sure it was alright to continue, even he had to remember his royal manners. Manakel, Emperor of Atlantis, had also recieved the invitation and jumped at the chance to see the interesting creatures of the land again. His kingdom was had become just as facinated with the new people as he had, and many asked him to retell his visit to the land just to hear about a new creature the merman had remembered seeing. He had wondered if perhaps this time he would take a journal and write down everything he saw instead of simply going by memory. Then again, that was why he had Gabriel.
His family tattooes glowed a bit under as he looked around with curious blye eyes. His young age evident in the wonder on his face as he gazed at all the interesting creatures that were arriving. How he wished at times he was older, better suited to all this wonder without having the childish need to examine all things new. He wished he could hold back and observie like his cousin. But he had to do his duty. "Gabriel, this place continues to amaze me. There are some many different creatures here!" artistic version of human legged mana "Yes lord but do remember they are people, not creatures in a zoo." The Court Mage of Atlantis and cousin to the Emperor walked calmly. He was the usual babysitter of his dear cousin, accompanying him to all above water ventures. His pale white skin and hair was a stark contrast to his more colorful companion. He used his magic staff to heard his cousin a bit, making sure the young emperor didn't wander off into the gardens to get lost. He also admired the people here, as many were magical in nature. Since their initial visit to King Jareth, the Merman Mage had traded books many times and had learned new spells. If only he could get the Emperor as interested in his magic studies as he was in studying new people.

It was like having two children, then the kid your kid was friend's with that always rubbed you the wrong way. Nadeshiko, Locke and Cielen filled those roles too well in Calibe's opinion, though he had never voiced his opinion on whatever matter this all stemmed from. No. He was a gentleman really, he just had a unique way of getting the things he obsessed over. Like selective mania or something. Locke just wasn't agreeing with Calibe on matters lately, and it irked him that his every move was questioned for it's motive. He really did just want to come to the party, the fact Nadeshiko was here as well just also let him make sure she behaved appropriately. His daughter took after her mother on her gentleness and ability to be extremely naive.
"You don't tend to make a habit of talking to me without your husband, Cielen." Calibe replied in a matter-of-fact tone. He flicked his gaze to Calentze, who looked about ready to murder something. "Stop using me to bait your husband." Was his retort to the remark and the dry look. He stepped back when Cielen pushed away from him, nodding once with a serious expression, before turning and walking over to his moping partner.
"Locke...darling..." He knelt down in front of the other, grasping his hands gently, one in each hand, effectively stopping the wringing of them. Then he looked his partner dead in the eye. "Just for a little while. We go can in an hour or so. Or if you like, you can go now, I will not hold you here against your wishes." Calibe was a complete and utter pushover when it came to him upsetting Locke like this. He thought it criminal.
xxxx
Cielen was seriously going to dance with that human. Calentze's lips pursed and his eyes darkened in distaste. He knew why the other was doing it. He was doing it so Calentze would pay attention to him. He always did this. It wasn't as simple as asking for more time for Cielen. No, he had to make an elaborate and messy plan in order to get him to notice him. It was totally stupid, and a waste of time. That, and it was the crux of most of their arguments. Stupid Cielen and his need for the dramatic and curse him for leaving him alone with Talon.
"Shut up, you ingrate." Was repeated at Talon, Calentze looked at him, his grip on the staff he held tightening in annoyance. He really did not like his son most days, but it seemed that his son just loved to have everyone bicker and hate him. Nadeshiko was a big slab of proof of that one. All in all, Talon was an attention whore in Calentze's opinion.
Smack!
Calentze brought the end of his staff down on top of Talon's head a little sharply, though only enough to hurt, not enough to knock him out or anything too serious, even if the peace would have been welcome. Sure, he'd just used an expensive, rare magical staff to do so. But damn, it had been satisfying. "The only b***h I see here is you." He muttered at the other, before walking over to Cielen, wrapping an arm around his waist from behind, holding him close. Stupid Talon.
xxxx
"Shut up." Macy muttered unhappily, staring at Zubi with a decidedly unamused look. Great, drunk. Well, he was a pirate and Macy was in the state of mind where pirates made him want to go back to staying in his room again. He was currently living with regret, and finding it a heavy burden. That, and he was kinda annoyed that Hyde hadn't come along. Euugh. He bet he was currently in bed with Kai or something. Double euugh. He didn't want to think about Hyde doing that. He was much happier believing the small elf was still celebate.
"Don't you dare." Macy hissed though he grinned, ducking away from Zubi when he advanced. Like hell was he being used as a bottle opener! Then...oh god...Raguel....He levelled the other with a decidedly unamused look. "What? Oh yeah...I guess." He answered, wondering in Aruru was going to come along and tell them what complete idiots they were for being drunk...at a tea party..ball...thing. He looked to Bayne just then, rolling his eyes. "So? It's stupid." He wasn't be sensitive to it at all, but he wasn't in a considerate mood. He had his own troubles, one of them being him being too messed up with emotion at the moment to have looked after his daughter properly.
xxxx
"I watched the kitchen staff make it, it smelt sooo good! But Auntie Shiayla and Aruru said I couldn't have any until the party." Nadeshiko commented when Gunner said his view on the cake. She couldn't wait to try it. A cake with a gooey chocolate centre was the epitome of yummy in her opinion. She couldn't wait to try it. ] "Can the babies have a little bit? I know the cake was melted chocolate in the middle...could she have a little of that?" Oh yes, Nadeshiko was completely taken with Phantasma and had decided that she was going to have a baby whenever she married and settled down.
She led them up the steps to the upper balcony with the tables and cakes on and passed Aruru and her two guests. Cuddling a cooing to Phantasma still. "You're such a clever girl, Phantasma~" She squealed, nuzzling another kiss to the baby's chubby cheek.

Nathan laughed, little fist waving as a other puff of warmth fluffed his hair and squeeled as his father blew raspberries. He kicked his feet joyfully, eyes narrowingly in mirth.
"Desperate?" He questioned amused. "I thought you and father where on better terms since the children where born and he's been pulling babysitting duty." Illy admitted his father was a bit...imposing. With the whole fake eye and the dreads ...oooh and the weapons. His father with out some type of weapon was like a cat with out fur, just wrong.
"You are going to ruin his good clothing." Illy shook his head, pushing his hair back. "Hmm," Illy looked down at Phantasma and Nadeshiko. "It would be fine Nade. It seems you are getting rather attached to Phantasma."
Nathan give a murring gurring sound, little fist grasping Gunners hair and tugging slightly.

To ease some of his nervouseness, Lennox withdrew his feather quill from his satchel. He should not have brought it... in hindsight he had not thought through the type of party this would be. He had arrived in his usual garments, and he had brought his 'work' with him as it were. In his defense though...the fanciest party he had ever been too had been a birthday celebration for the elder of his village. It had been a small community party that had lasted from dawn to dusk. His friends and family had gathered to enjoy the free food and listen to the music and to dance in the main street. This place...this garden party...it threw a entierly new light on the term 'party' and Lennox was feeling utterly unprepared. Perhaps he ought to have gone to speak to Claymore about this before taking it upon himself? He was woefully overwhelmed...
He twisted the feather between his fingers, spinning it in a quick circle first one way and then the other. So many people...so many different people and they all seemed...well...definatly upperclass in a way. Most at least.... From where he stood he could see what looked like a winged elf. he could easily spy unicorns mingled in the crowd. And elves! Well, their presence gave the whole party at least some sense of familarity in one aspect...but.... was that a drow? Lennox was uncertain if he was disgusted or frightened by the presence of the black skinned elf. There seemed to be...a creature? no...from where he hovered he was certain it was a satyr, but he was rather unsure. He'd never seen one before...and the green winged male that he spied through the crowd...was that a dragon there? he was pretty certain he had seen a few fairy's in the crowd...and more feathered wings flashed in the corner of his eyes. There were just...too many different races! Lennox's feelings of uncertainty were shaken as a elf in a lovely gown came before him. He blinked at her for a moment. His current thoughts of returning to the castle and waiting for the party to come to a end were disrupted by the females question.
"Lost? I'm...pretty certain I am not lost. This is the Winchesten Estate right?" Lennox began...then paused as it occured to him that the reference to being lost was not meant in a physical sense. His cheeks tinged with a pale pink color, and he quickly responded to the question that had been posed to him while remembering to perform a unpracticed bow. "Yes. Yes I am. I am Lennox Creighton. I'm from a small elvan village to the far south near the Southern Forest." Lennox forced himself to halt at that point, before he ended up rambleing on rather unimportant additional facts he was certain the strangely dark colored elf would not care to hear. It was odd, he'd never seen a elf of her coloration before. If only Clay was present, he could ask him what race she was and where her people were located rather then staring at her like the bumpkin he was rapidly feeling akin to.

Silently Zephyr drifted along the edges of the gathering. He was tempted to wander through the crowd, but he was positive there would be too many brushings and bumpings. Being invisibile only really worked well when people did not suspect you were present. The young Myuse lazily flexed his small wings to continue propelling himself forwards. Hnnn. Perhaps he could drift a bit close to one of the groups and listen in on a conversation?
There appeared to be some sort of argument carrying on, and this drew Zephyr's attention fast. He heard the coarse term 'b***h' used and he paused. Energy and excitement was one thing. But a true argument was not something he felt confortable hovering about. Zephyr liked to gawk as much as the next Myuse...but he wasn't willing to get too close to heated words... He was certain he had heard the sounds of babies somewhere abouts. perhaps if he floated up high enough he could locate the little ones. Such small people really fascinated him. He could not imagin how something so helpless could survive so well....

The dragon chuckled happily his face now being held against his sons belly by the child himself, with fistfuls of his hair. "I won't ruin it!" He gave a muffled protest, turning an amused eye to his drow lover, "There just may be a little splash-back when we dive for the cake, that's all!" He grinned, blowing yet another raspberry as Nathan kicked the hell out of his arm and chest again. At least he was still small enough to do that and not leave bruises! He was going to be a big strong toddler, he could tell already.
"And.. Well.." He mumbled a little, still peeking at Illy though a little more sheepishly now, "Sure I get along with him. I'm just.. Well I can only assume it's the natural draconic instinct that's making me feel odd." After-all, he was letting someone other than his mate and offspring into his rather modern 'den'. Not a natural practice at all for dragon-kind!
"You're making my mouth water with talk like that, Nade! And of course she would love some!" He agreed with Illy, "Obviously not too too much though" Phantasma gurgled happily at the kiss to her cheek. SHe couldn't have been happier with all the fussing she was receiving.. She managed to break her stare at the pink thing when they reached the balcony going quite slack-jawed at all the other interesting shapes and colours in this new area.
The elf laughed in good humour despite Macy's sour words, "Aw, c'mon Macy, mate! Stop being so selfish! You have like, five horns anyway!" He winked, moving to grab at him again before diverting his arm in a downward arc to his pocket. "I must have one somewhere.." He diverted again to wave enthusiastically at the bosun before he rummaged again, "No cannons! I don't want to have to take a long straw to rum on the floor! It's no fun when you inhale glass!" He protested.
Bayne almost whimpered a little at Raguels loud words with a shake of his head, "I-I just t-t-thought you should know, Macy.. T-That was all.."
Clay scanned the crowd slowly but meticulously, it wouldn't take him long to spot Lennox, he was a striking little guy, though his eyes did keep flicking back to the group of pirates.. The helmsman was amusing himself it seemed with Macy, someone he hadn't seen in the court for a long while.. He was a little concerned with how deflated the unigon seemed to be, but he didn't know the man personally, and had a feeling he would be met with a swift rebuke if he had tried to talk with him..
His eyes fliked back to scanning the groups of people for his young ward.. Then back to the pirates.. Then to the bosun who was fast approaching. He couldn't help the inward groan.
"Raguel.." He met with a stern tone, his eyes going back to their previous task, "It has been almost a year since we last crossed paths, the last ball. I vividly recall banning your helmsman from being near the punch-bowl and distinctly recall physically removing you from the vicinity of several young ladies." That had been a busier night than usual. There was no end of work when the pirates were around.. "I'd ask how the Maddness fares, but I imagine I'll get the same old answer of booze, gold and 'wimminz'." His overly stern facade cracked fractionally with a slight smile then, patting a hand down onto the pirates shoulder. "Seriously though.. If I catch you with.." He trailed off as he spotted his young ward.. With one of the worst people imaginable if he planned of preserving the younglings purity. "Later.." He muttered, making his way across the garden spaces towards the scribe and the spy.
"Lennox!" He greeted as he drew near, "And the Lady Calistina." He met her with a bow and a stern tone shy of a growl. "I would not say my ward was lost, my Lady, he has been exploring the palace and city.. As far as I am aware however, this is the first formal occassion he has been invited to during his stay." He broke protocol to place a large hand on the small of Lennoxs back to reassure him more than anything. He wanted to warn the young elf about the seductress and her ways of plying the naive into her bed and warn him away.. It wasn't so much his place, and considering her standing, speaking against her could have dire consequences on his job or more importantly his life if she took real offence and convinced the goblin-king himself on the matter. But he'd be there to defend his honour.. And his purity, damnit! Right to the bitter end!

Raguel was more than happy to give the Captain of the Guard an inward belly roll. The last party had been very fun! Even if the goblin had kept him away from the wimminz. The fun was still had. He also had to laugh at the thought of "banning" Zubi from anything. Guy was tricky. "Ah come on Clay! Don't be such a stick! You'd have fun on the Maddess! After all you..." He blinked suddenly as Clay ran off quickly. He followed the goblin's path and immediately saw his target. Ah so his mother was messing with someone and Clay intended to stop her? Oooo, the goblin really did have balls. Well, he hoped he knew what he was getting into.
Raguel decided to see who else he could have fun talking too, maybe also convince to get a little tipsy with him. He scanned the crowd and saw the Royalty of Atlantis, nah they already drank like fish. He laughed at his own drunking joke then continued his search. Finally he spotted his hostess and a few others. He wandered over to Lady Aruru and bowed as politely as his bottles of rum would allow. He grinned at her, having suddenly become much happier. "Lady Aruru! How lovely your party is! I came over to ask if you will be attending my wedding once we finally figure out a day to have it? I bet you could plan a great reception!"
Ah he was so innocent, she giggled, how much fun could she have with him? But his mannerisms told her he was hardly a high ranking individual and his innocent betrayed his lack of knowledge. If anything she'd merely befriend him incase she needed a favor. "I am..." And she was rudely intrupted by the Captain of the Goblins. She frowned a bit at his sudden disturbance of her chat but now she was introduced. Hmm, his ward huh? That was a useful bit of information. She tucked it away for now.
"And the dear captain just annouced, I am Lady Calistina. A member of this court for nigh on 300 years." She glanced at Clay in warning after saying that. He had best watch his tongue when in public with her. It was no secert of her activities but it wasn't discussed in public. She pushed a strand of pure white hair from her face and took a more relaxed stance. this usually indicated she had no sexual intentions for her victim, merely an inquisitive one. After all how many young elves were placed under the protection of a goblin, let alone the Captain of the Royal Guard.
"Your ward, Claymore? How facinating. Lennox, you must tell me how you came to be under our great Captain's protection." She leaned in a bit, like a child with a secret. "He's usually such a grump, he won't even dance a bit." She giggled sweetly then glanced to Claymore again. She wondered if she should use her knowledge about the seamstress's crush oon him but decided to reserve that knowledge for herself.

Lennox gave a small start as he heard his name called loudly. Turning a little, a wane smile broke out over his face at the sight of Claymore approching. My...he seemed to be in a hurry didn't he? "Clay! You must have..." His words came to a halt as the large goblin bowed to the lady and began to speak to her. Odd...he almost seemed angry for some unknown reason? Was it because he had come on his own? He had sent him that note though.... Lennox felt the hand upon his back, and he fought the temptation to turn and look behind him. Clay's hand was so big it probably nearly reached from one side to the other of his back. He was able to successfuly resist the temptation by focusing on the lady Calistina.
"It's a pleasure to make your aquaintance Lady Calistina." He polietly spoke. Ah...with Clay present he felt himself less nervouse and uneasy. He would have to thank the goblin later for arriving when he did... When Calistina invested more interest in him, he shifted back a bit into the presence of Clay's hand and spoke slowly. "Well... It's really not a very interesting story lady. It would just bore you terribly. There is nothing interesting about me at all." Lennox tilted his head upwards, and reached his hand out that was not holding the feather quill, to gently place it on Clay's arm. "The Captian here knows my Uncle, and as a favor to him he is watching out for me while I visit the city. He hasn't seemed like much of a grump to me though."
