"Eh, each family has their issues." He was rather strong on stuff like that with Duncan, maybe he was growing that good father gene? Well, as long as he didn't end up like his own father he was in the clear.

Ramiro was quiet for a few minutes, rubbing his hands together in the slight chill. A lot of the people walking by must have thought he was some kind of a thug, slumped up against the wall smoking as beat up as he was. He was used to that though, when he was in a bad mood sometimes he even encouraged it with a scowl and a rude remark. More often than not though, he would just turn away and try not to look at them. Did any of the other banished ones feel like that? "Hey, what's it like? The high schools here I mean, Duncan's been going to a public school once in a while, and he doesn't seem to like it very much, says there's no on there like him, but there are other teens around, demons I mean, aren't there? Do they just not go to school? He's said something about a special school, but is there?"

"I just wish the boy wouldn't spend so much time all by himself." Of course, he wasn't really one to talk. When he was a teenager he spent most of his time ditching any prospect of school and locking himself away. "So what's the story with this city? I keep thinking it's calm and then something like this-" He gestured toward the door back into the party, "Happens."

Ramiro nodded, taking a long drag on his cigarette, which was now almost done again. It made sense for kids to stick to the downtown areas, away from where a lot of parents and such lived. They did that in his old neighborhood too, but that was mainly because a kid could get himself shot for breaking a window. Ah well. "So, are there any clubs with bars around here? I'm reconsidering that drink, I haven't had one in a while."

Ramiro spit his cigarette onto the ground and stomped it out, giving a bit of a laugh. "Yeah, if I had had that mind set when I was younger I would have had a lot less trouble." He stretched, "And by trouble I mean fights."

Ramiro shook his head, "Nah, I got in fights from being a cocky b*****d when I was drunk." If he had been talking to Kinji, he would have mentioned that attitudes like that had been a show for his own protection, but it didn't seem relevant enough for this boy to know, maybe a good talk would keep him on the straight and narrow, safe and out of trouble.

Ramiro nodded, "Good choice. Nothing good comes from it." If it weren't for things like alcohol and drugs he probably wouldn't have ended up so deep in all of the gang crap. "Yeah, I guess it does, never really noticed."

Sliding down the wall slowly, he let out a little sigh. Once he had settled down on the sidewalk, he looked around curiously, taking note of a few rough looking kids hanging around the alley across the street. "That's weird, isn't it?"
