Astrid looked this new girl over. She was pretty, and Astrid had the sudden urge to become her friend. She felt really lonely, even surrounded by all these people. "My brother and I came from New York City, but we're originally from Norway. I'm Astrid, by the way."
Kristof waved. "I'm Kristof. The brother. And I'm going to assume you're from England."

II: hah thanks. gluttony is a hard one to work with sometimes. although a lot of songs revolve around it in a way ;; i can't seem to pinpoint one for meh. :II
Harper grinned at Lilith. That's also such a pretty name! I wish I had a pretty name like Astair's and Lilith's... Maybe I can have all of their names added into my name. How exotic that would be! she thought curiosly, shaking her head to clear her thoughts. A compliment from Lilith could be heard, and Harper perked up. Oh, how I love compliments! Keep them coming! She thought. She narrowed her eyes and looked away. She did not like these thoughts that kept creeping into her mind. She hoped she'd learn to control them and eventually destroy them.
Harper returned her amber gaze to Lilith and smiled sweetly. "Hah well thank you very much. Well I'm kind of from everywhere, so that's probably why my accent is so foreign to everyone" she said lightly. "Born in Romania, then lived in Indonesia, then the United States, and now here. What about you?" she said brightly, happy to be sharing information with someone else and conversing. It made her feel kind of important, which was something everyone enjoyed. She wanted more attention, and wanted to throw herself into everyone's conversation. So, she was happy when Lilith directed everyone's attention towards her by asking where everyone was from. Now everyone will look at me as well as Lilith, she thought happily. Glad I chose to stand by and talk to her, she decided, a bright smile on her delicate face. No no, you need to direct the attention away from Lilith and put it on you. You deserve all of the attention... Harper closed her eyes and gritted her teeth. SHUT UP! She yelled at herself in her head, opening her eyes finally. "Yeah, it'd be good to know where everyone's from. Maybe that could end up being a similar connection that could explain why we were chosen to get knocked out by an explosion," she said amusedly with a light laugh. She listened to Astrid and her brother talk, and she smiled. She figured Norway would be pretty cool and somewhat similar to Romania. Then she thought against it. No. That's not similar at all, she thought amusedly, shaking her head. She wondered why her thoughts were so flighty and random today.
Harper walked over to her hospital bed and sat by Kristof, smiling over at him. "Hey Kristof. It's Harper if you didn't remember," she said lightly and sheepishly with a laugh. She felt so lame talking like this. "So how long have you been in Tokyo?" She asked curiously.

Kristof smiled when Harper sat down. "Hey there." he pulled a watch from out of his pocket and ran his thumb over the face. "I've only been here for a couple of hours, so I haven't had any time to sight-see or anything like that." he said, and let out a small laugh when he realized what he'd just said.

Harper grinned and watched him rub his thumb over the face of it as if looking at the time. She glanced up at his face and shook her head. "Yeah I've been here in Tokyo for four years I think. There's not that much to see. Just a bunch of bright neon lights and electric-device stores," she said teasingly. Of course Tokyo had so much more to it, but she was joking because that was the typical stereotype that people had before actually traveling to Tokyo.
She sighed and shrugged her slender shoulders, glancing over at all the people in her room. She turned her head back to Kristof and smiled. "Well maybe I could take you around and show you some of the cool things here," she said brightly and excitedly. "It could be you and me, or you could bring your sister and your family or friends, hell, bring everyone!" She said with a light laugh, so excited that there was a possibility that her and as many people as she could manage could be able to go out and have a blast.

Magnificent Dustmop ((I decided that if I ever did drugs with my stoner friends that we would watch Superjail. Okay this is probably a bit inappropriate but Astrid's theme song is going to be I Touch Myself by the Divinyls. That's about as lusty as you can get.))
((what about Insatiable by Darren Hayes? though that could be for Harper.))

((Hmm I like that too. I can't decide now. Can I have both songs for Astrid?))
Kristof laughed. "You do realize that I'm blind, right?" It had happened before, numerous times actually, so it wasn't such a weird idea.

Harper grinned at Krisof. "Hah no I hadn't noticed that. I don't generally check people for blindness," she said teasingly and nudged him with her shoulder. "Whether you're blind or not doesn't matter. I'd describe in full detail everything I saw for you," she said somewhat jokingly with a big grin that he couldn't even see. Maybe he heard the smile in her voice. She wasn't sure. She did not care if he was blind or not. A person was a person. Her amber gaze shifted to his white cane and she tilted her head to the side. Guess I hadn't noticed that, she thought to herself, biting her bottom lip. "Besides," she said lightly, leaning a bit closer. "Being blind enhances your other senses," she murmured in an almost seductive tone. She closed her eyes and wondered just what the hell she was doing. You know what you're doing. You want him... him and everyone else... Harper opened her eyes quickly and leaned back a bit. She wondered exactly where that thought was coming from. She pushed it away and shook her head lightly.

Lilith perked up at the mention of Norway, and looked at Astrid. "Norway, really? No way! My Grandmother is Norwegian!" And her bright green eyes lit up. She chuckled and blushed the slightest when her brother Kristof pin-pointed her accent. "Yeah, England born and bred. My grandfather's middle name was Kristof." She added quietly, chuckling a little. 'Why aren't you finding out who did this? They can't get away with hurting you and these people!' Rubbing her head, she looked back to Harper. "Wow, Romania. I've always wanted to visit there." She stood quietly for a few minutes as Harper began to talk to Kristof. She knew as soon as she saw him that he was blind, after being around a few of them, she could pick them out instantly. She looked at Astrid instead. "Half my family is Scandinavian, i traced us as far back as the Vikings." And she smiled, hiding a small wince of pain as her head pounded. 'Stop making small talk, we need to find who's behind all this!' The dark voice cried out to Lilith. She sighed, frustrated now and ran her hands through her shortish black hair. She needed a coffee.

Kristof had heard what Harper had said, but for her sake he pretended not to notice. He could tell that she didn't really mean it, not that he was able to judge body language, but his keen sense of hearing helped him pick up on a few cues. Instead, he smiled. "I'd like to take you up on that offer, as it seems I may end up being here longer than planned. Just being able to walk around the city with someone would be really helpful; not to brag or anything but my memory and sense of direction are pretty amazing." he said, having already made an internal map of the parts of the hospital he had been to. It was the same back home, he could walk around the city by himself and know exactly where he was going.
Astrid glanced over at Lilith. She didn't look well. "Are you okay?" she asked, "Do you want to go get some water or a coffee?" She wanted somebody's full attention. Maybe she could tell the girl stories about Norway, how she'd seen real Viking ships in the museums as a young girl, or anything else for that matter. She just wanted someone to pay attention to her, be fascinated by her, even adore her. This new found craving for attention scared her a little, she didn't understand what was coming over her- the old Astrid didn't need anything from anyone, only her own satisfaction. But now I'm taking over... a voice inside her purred. It sounded like her, only more girlish, breathless, a sort of Marilyn Monroe with a Nordic accent. She tried to shake it off but this time it didn't work.

"It's the same with Norway." Kristof said, "Those are really the only visual memories I have, I started losing my sight a little after we came to America." He sighed, dreamily content. At least the images in his head were all nice ones. Then, realizing he'd been in a conversation, he snapped out of it. "That sounds lovely, I don't see a reason for me to leave so soon. Is it alright with you Asta?"
Astrid shrugged. "Anything's better than the hotel I was staying in." she said, and wondered where the orderlies had put her clothes. The cheap hospital gown, although quite revealing, was not very flattering. "Isn't mom here too?"
"Oh, right. I forgot. She was looking for you but I don't know where she went." he said, and got up. Walking out into the hallway he shouted, "Hey, Mamma!" in an accent thicker than normal.
Adelina had been wandering the halls looking for her children when she saw Kristof poke his head out of the door and call for her. "Ja! I've been looking everywhere for you! Did you find your sister?"
Kristof nodded. "Yeah, she's okay. Listen, Mamma, Asta and I are going to stay here for a while, a friend offered to let us stay with her."
Adelina shook her head. "Jeg forstår ikkje. ((I don't understand.)) Why would you want to stay in this city, where the fish is undercooked and no one understands your language? But..." she paused, thinking it over, "if Astrid is staying, you stay too. Make sure she is okay."
"Wow, really? Thank you, Mamma." Kristof said, shocked that his mother would let him out of her sight. She usually tried to keep him home as much as possible. She must really be worried about Asta. he thought, agreeing that something was truly wrong with his sister. Maybe she'd suffered a blow to the head.
Adelina sighed and gave her son a hug. "I guess I must learn to, hvordan sier på engelsk ((how do you say in English))...let you both fly solo now. Try not to die, and call me when you want to come home. Hade, min tvillings." she said, waving as she left. Maybe I will take that pig up on his offer, I could use a free meal.
Astrid frowned when Kristof came back into the room. Their mother always dotted on him, smothering him with attention when all he wanted was to be left alone, while she was sadly ignored. She knew her mother loved her, but she just assumed that Astrid could take care of herself. Before, she would have agreed, but now all she wanted was for Adelina to hug her and shower her in affection. Hell, she wanted that from everyone now. I want them all to love me, the little voice said, it was getting stronger. Ignoring it, she turned back to Harper. "I guess we're staying with you."

((wow, i missed a bit.. sweatdrop )) Ryouya listened to the conversation, fighting a little voice that spoke to him.
'They should be focused on you and only you. They should adore and respect you. Love you. Obey you. Do anything for you. You are the greatest of the Seven, the Lord second only to Lucifer-sama.'
'Shut up. Whatever or whoever you are. Shut UP! You will not control me.'
'Oh? Well, maybe not you, but I think your brother will do just as well. He is of equal greatness to you...Maybe more.' The voice taunted him, trying to get him to lose his cool and allow for it to take over.
He had unconciously stood up straighter, and gotten an imperious expression to his face. He felt a desire for the others in the room to take notice of him and be awed by how regal and purely awesome he was.
He was unable to supress that little desire completely, but he managed to keep himself from speaking the desire out loud. He remembered what they were talking about, and his little voice spoke up to him again.
'You can be so gracious by showing the foreigners around tokyo. You know this city like the back of your majestic hand. Show them your great kindness by showing them around.'
He gave in to the voice, a little.
"If you need a guide, my brother and I would gladly show you around. We've lived here since we were about five, so we know every note-worthy place to go in the city."
He could feel the voice in his head sigh happily at believing it had gotten through his defenses even a little bit.
