Something was nagging at Seth, something about how it was too coincidental that the fairy had just randomly shown up with the bag after he had said those words. Forcing those thoughts to the back of his head, he led Fate down to the water. "Here we go... do you have a favorite color...?"

"Yes, red." She was happy she could finally answer a question of his with a definite answer. "It's always been my favorite. What is yours?" She looked at the ground as she walked to the water.

"Red, hm? A beautiful, strong color...." He blushed a little. "My favorite color is yellow.... ironic, since that is the color that symbolizes insanity..." He rubbed the back of his head, chuckling a little.

"Really?" She didn't know colors had meaning. "I didn't know that." She smiled as she looked for some shells. She found a small one that was brown and held it up for Seth. "Here's a brown one."

Seth nodded. "Yes, from some of the books I've read, apparently it's believed that certain colors symbolize ctain meanings.... I've also read about how stones can affect a person's spiritual well being and balance...."
Carefully, Seth inspected the shell, then began to flip through his book. "A hah!" He smiled, and made a small mark on a page. "There we go...."

"Wow, I never knew that." That was really interesting. Colors held meaning and power. She smiled as she thought about different colors and what she thought each meant.
Karma looked at the book as Seth said, 'ah ha', "What did you find?" Was it some sort of powerful shell? She was intrigued.

Seth looked up, then blushed and laughed. "No, not really... I'm keeping a tally sheet of sorts on what sort of shells and other items wash up from the sea....." He really didn't want to go on and explain that the shell she'd found was rather common, based upon his data sheet. She looked so excited about the shell, and Seth couldn't help but smile a little.

"Oh, ok. How many have you found so far?" She was curious. It was pretty interesting, keeping tally. Karma of course was more go-with-the-flow or Fate. She dipped down and pulled out another shell. It was white and had a hole in it. "How about this one?"

Seth blinked, surprised that she wanted to know, then laughed a little. "I've.... found about 53 of them....."
Upon Karma's discovery of the second shell, Seth got excited. "I don't think I've seen one like that!" Quickly, he thumbed through his notes, shaking his head. "This is a new shell!"

"53? That is a lot." Karma nodded. It was a common shell, but still pretty. She didn't really care if there were a lot.
She smiled as this shell was better than the first. "Wow! That's cool! So, if it's new then I wonder what's it called." She looked at the shell, turned it over in her hand. It was white and the hole went through the whole thing.

Seth smiled, seeing that she was still happy even though the shell clearly wasn't something too special. As she turned it over and over in her hand, he was suddenly struck with an idea. Gently, he picked at one of the string bindings on his journal until it cam undone, then he pulled it out. Breaking the string in half to rebind his journal with, he then smiled to Karma. "May I see the shall that has yet to be named....?"

Karma watched as he got the cord off his journal. What was he doing? The he asked for her shell. "Sure.." She held out her hand with the shell to him. She still didn't understand what he was doing.

Focusing hard, he carefully threaded the cord through the shell and knotted it, then smiled. He was rather glad that the shell's hole was big enough for him to be able to do that.
"Here, lift your hair up a little." He said, the smile still adorning his face.

Karma finally understood what he was doing. She smiled and lifted her hair as he asked her too. "That's really cool. The no name shell can always be a memory of this meeting." She did like that. She always did want to remember this moment. It was the best time she had had in a while. After Sol, that is.

Seth smiled and securly tied the shell around her neck. "I'm glad... I rather you not forget about me...." He felt his cheeks heaten a little bit as he said that. There was something about Karma that he was just drawn too, and he couldn't help it. "Are you going to continue to stay for a bit longer?"
