"I've tried glasses straps before. They don't do much good." She nodded her head as if mourning this fact. She listened to the rather dull tale.

"...well, at least you didn't break the lenses. You can't fix those as readily." She giggled her same gerbil giggle from before. She then offered a simple "At least the tape adds some character to your glasses." A slight smile curled her lips.

Simon chuckled, in a bit of a nerdy, cacaphonic harmony with Lizzy's giggle, at the mention of how the tape on his glasses could add character, of all things. "Haha, yeah... in my LARP I say they generate a minor shie--"

Whoops.

"Umm... forgetIsaidthat..."

Rather than forget what had just been said, Lizzy did something rather unexpected. She attempted to crawl on top of Simon in a piggyback-esque style. Her giggle only got louder as she attempted to hug onto the boy.

"I knew you had to like something fun like that! I knew it!" She wasn't as familiar with LARPing as she was with plain ol' RPing, but it was probably much more fun than what her friends back home did.

"Ahh-- whoa-- watch the stings--"

The LARPer struggled to keep his balance as Lizzy started to clamber onto him - thankfully he was tall, otherwise he would have crashed to the ground instantly. He cringed as a foot or a hand pressed onto the sensitive parts of his back, but he wasn't about to make her get down. That would be mean...

"Huh? Oh, uh... yeah, I LARP," he replied, with a bit of surprise. "And I..." he laughed, "I honestly think this is the first time I haven't been made fun of for it. You don't think it's weird or anything?"

Once she was situated, she stopped wriggling and just clung on. Oh, how nice it was to be comfortable. She nearly purred before realizing how silly she must have seemed.

"...oh, yeah... my friends back home are into that type of stuff. Though none of them actually LARP... they just RP. I usually just sit nearby and listen to all the action. It's fun!" She smiled and shook her head a bit.

"Nope, not weird at all."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 09, 2009 9:58 pm

"Oh, really?" Hey, it wasn't quite the same thing, but it was close enough! "Well, LARPing is a lot more fun! So long as... y'know, you don't take it too seriously. You have to get creative with it sometimes too, to keep it convincing."

...

Er.

Simon chuckled, a little nervously.

"Umm. You're not expecting me to carry you all the way back down the cliff or anything, are you?"

Not that he'd be able to see it or anything, but Lizzy then put a small pout on her face.

"...Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?....." Her voice once more started to whine in a high pitch. Nevermind the fact that she still needed to pick up her bag to bring it down the hill.

Sigh.

"Fine. How about... how about halfway, or until I fall over?" Simon tried to compromise. He was such a pushover... sometimes literally.

Her eyes glanced up, as if she was thinking very deeply over the subject. When her eyes leveled out again, she let out a small "'Kay..." However, reality checked back in as she pointed out one more thing.

"...can you grab my bag for me... I kinda need it." She giggled a bit as she continued to cling on.

((yes, tis fine ;D ))

"Y-your bag? Umm..."

Simon swiveled his head around, trying to spot the thing until finding it and hoisting it up. This might be a little too much weight... but he wasn't going to complain. He supposed this could be his way of making it up to Lizzy, for saving him from the cardboard grip of the Cone of Shame.

"Alright... just hang on and don't move too much."

And so the LARPer started carrying her down the hill, the endeavor most likely ending later on in a hilarious spill that would make for some excellent filler footage.

User ImageBobby made the long trek to the top of the cliff. He'd spent most of the day before cleaning their stinky cabin and he was tired of being around the stench. Even though he hadn't been sprayed, the scent was permeating his fur and he was tired of it.

Bobby just needed some time to chill. This place was getting under his skin and he wanted to relax a little. From up here, the camp seemed distant and quiet, not as insane as it really was. The breeze blew through his fur and the sun warmed him. He could feel his stress falling off his shoulders. He found a nice rock with a vantage point, turned on his iPod, and sat there enjoying the sun and the tranquility.

User Image Taking this hiding spot for the day had been one of her better ideas- it'd taken Annabel quite a bit of time to stumble up to the top, but once there, she'd been at peace- alone. No campers, from what she'd seen, had scrambled up after her- especially not Simon. She had to face him at some point, yes, but oh the shame. She wasn't ready to face her friend, not quite yet. So instead, she'd retreated up here to listen to the sounds of camp below, not even bothering to put in her music. There just wasn't a song for how she felt- not right now, anyway.

Closing her eyes a moment, and trying to shake herself from the thought of crying, she vaguely wondered how long Simon had waited for her behind the cabin. God, how many times had she let him down, now? ...Did he even still care, at all? Sniffling just the tiny bit, finally allowing herself a hint of pity, Annabel whined softly to the wind.

God, she really couldn't keep from ******** UP at this camp, could she? Maybe she really was just a loser...

User ImageChris needed some alone time. He really just needed to get the hell away from the camp for a while, and well..the cliff seemed like a good place to do it. Thankfully he was the host, and was allowed to use the handy escalator to the top.

He had been sitting on the way up, grumbling and picking at the ribbons on his ridiculous outfit. When he got near the top he stood up, stepping easily out onto the cliff---

And realizing he was not alone. GOD DAMNIT.
Still, it was -only- Annabel, and from the looks of her she really was in no mood to start s**t with him again. Hrmm, wonder why that could be? Hehehehehe...

Silently he strolled out, taking a seat out on the edge of the cliff. He made no effort to talk to her, or sit next to her or anything. Just a crazily costumed host, sitting bravely on the edge of the cliff. Though honestly if anyone tried to push him off it really wouldn't make his day -that- much worse. This already was the day from hell.

User Image Had this been any other day, Annabel might've considered a repeat performance from the first challenge- only, this time, not going over with him. What better way to torment someone then to watch in sadistic glee as they fell to the shark-infested waters below, screaming bloody murder? Physical AND psychological torture, if you really thought about it. Going over once? It was pretty nucking futs, really, but a second time? That was just adding insult to injury.

But today, Annabel hadn't even registered the host's presence at the clifftop. She was far too engrossed in her own thoughts, apparently seeking some kind of solace in the waters below. So absorbed in this seeming trance, in fact, that she didn't even react to her own crying, which was readily happening at this point. It wasn't until it became more vocal, with a string of quiet ahuhuhu's, she even moved to wipe her face of tears.

"Look at me..." she mumbled quietly, apparently still unaware of the host's presence. Staring at her paws, as if analyzing them would give them some of the answers she sought, Annabel bit back a sob, shaking her head.

"I'm such a ******** loser. Simon hates me, Ariel hates me, Mr. McLean hates me... can't even be nice to anyone? And god, I keep taking it too damn far... poor Mister McLean, especially..." she wasn't even trying to swallow her sadness anymore.

"God... no wonder he ******** hates me... I- I deserved this..."

User Image"I don't believe I ever said I -hate- you dude. Though I may have said I hated everyone."
s**t, just look at him. Did you really -blame him- for that?
"And sheesh, Mr. McLean makes me sound old dude. Call me Chris. It's my name ya know."

Chris grumbled, fumbling with his skirt to be sure the stupid wind didn't blow it up. God this was a stupid. STUPID. outfit.
