Kai glanced at the window for only a moment as a kind of pretense. He already knew the answer. "30 minutes... Darkness falls quickly in the woods."

Saiya chewed her lips. "But you have flashlights and stuff right?" She questioned, nervous about going out of the city. She was street smart and new ever nook and cranny of the city. There weren't many places she wouldn't be able to come up with more than one way out of being cornered. The only thing she knew about the woods were the scary stories her grandmother used to tell her about things that lived in it and like to make little girls scream when they ventured into it.

"Yes. But we won't be using them till we hit the valley wall." Kai stated as finished what was on his plate. He gave a small smile. "Don't worry. I know the woods better then anyone else around here."

Saiya blinked at him. "Oh I'm all kinds of peachy." She responded as she rolled her eyes. It wasn't like she had a choice of to go or not. The only place she could think of to get to Supernaturals that weren't under the Cleaner's influence was at this festival. "So what is this festival anyways?"

"The festival is one the town holds every year. It is in honor of the Greek Goddess of Love. Couples make the journey through Dragoste Pass, or Love's Pass, in order to strengthen their bond by gaining the Goddess' blessing." he explained while trying to hide a grin. "Tourists flock there every year. Either in hope of keeping true love, or in hope of finding it while there."

Saiya groaned and banged her head against the table. "Of course it is." She muttered. "Why not? I'll just take a bunch of information about a plot to wipe out supernaturals to a festival of Love!" She groaned and put her arms over her head. "Irony is a b***h."

Steve burst out laughing as Kai hide a smile. Shrugging he burst into laughter. "Sorry..." he barely managed to get out around the laughter. So he wasn't telling the whole truth... He'd see if he could trust her by the time they reached the city. If so he'd take her to the people ho could best use the information... If not then he'd drop her off at the festival and let her find her own way to whatever means she came by.

Saiya groaned again. "I fail to see the funny part of that." She pouted at them as she crossed her arms. Sighing she rubbed her forehead. "Nothing ever goes right." A large boom from the inner part of the city had her jumping out of her seat and looking out the window. Smoke curled from the inner city and she frowned. She looked over at the tv and swiped the remote turning the channel. Her eyes went wide and she blinked. "They blew up my apartment..."

Kai stood up as he dusted off his hands. "Well that would be cue to leave then... The faster we get out of here, the less likely they are to do anymore 'blowing up' " he stated, throwing the pack over his shoulder.

Saiya blinked at him. "My whole apartment?" She frowned as she flipped the TV off. "What the hell was the point of blowing up my home? Do they honestly think I'm stupid enough to go back or hide the files there?" She ranted at her self as she looked out the door at the suites that were waiting for her to come out. "Oh yea cause that's gonna make me come out and willingly take a bullet." She flipped them off even though she knew they couldn't see her. "Morons."

Kai turned and faced Saiya. "They blew up your apartment to let you and everyone who knows you." he stated. "That they know their names, that they know where they live, and that they simply know." Kai added. "There sending out threats and warnings to stir the waters and make it easier for them to bait the fish." he added before turning back and heading through the house. "Coming?" he asked over his shoulder.

Saiya gulped and ran after Kai. "You don't think they'll really hurt my friends right? They don't even know what's going on." She frowned, most of her friends knew how to handle themselves, knew when to disappear. Biting her lip she took a deep breath and pushed it to the back of her mind. "One for the sake of many." She whispered to herself to remind herself why she was doing this.

Choosing not to comment on Saiya's thought process, Kai lead the way through winding hallways and down a very long set of steps. By the time they hit the bottom of the stairs they were deep under ground and almost totally without light. "Watch your step." he stated, holding his hand out to help her.

Saiya blinked and frowned. "I can't see anything." She muttered as she bumped into his hand and quickly grabbed it. "Watch how high you hold that out will you." She said blushing at his accidental grope.

"Sorry... Forgot how much shorter you were." he muttered appoligetically. Making sure to guide her right behind him as he made his way through several more passages and doorways. After several minutes they finally stopped at what could only be described as ancient and impossing. A monsterous door that looked almost as old as time...
