eartianwerewolf I wanna wear Kurama's orange jacket XDDD I stared at this statement for a moment to see if I read it right... You WANT to wear that jacket? Now that's something I have never heard before. The only reason I ever thought of doing a cosplay in that orange coat would be to see how many fangirls would still go gaga over Kurama while wearing it. I have to maintain that wearing that outfit was the WORST fashion mistake Kurama ever made... It clashed with his hair so badly >.< Not to mention he chose atrocious colours to go with it... dark blue skinny jeans and an indigo T-shirt? Why Kurama, why!? Okay, so I know it was the early nineties and all... but still I just can't get my head around that choice. Yeah, the orange coat would only be an experimental cosplay for me just to see people's reactions to it. Although, I will say, it would be terribly original since I have never seen a single soul cosplay it... Most wear the school uniform or the yellow Dark Tournament outfit. I'm sorry to come off all crazy like, but I have just never seen anyone say they wanted to wear that before.

In all truth, I kinda would wanna wear it too. I mean JUST because EVERYONE would know it was KURAMA'S jacket. Hahaha XD
I mean SERIOUSLY, who else WEARS that thing? XD

Lol, it's true, I haven't seen anyone but Kurama, in Urameshi's group, wear something quite as loud as that... Granted Yusuke DID have that bulky red jacket, but somehow it didn't seem like it was quite as bad. Perhaps because Yusuke has black hair... if it were red then we would have some issues. The orange jacket Kurama wore COULD be okay on it's own, but it was the colours he put with it that just turned me off completely. First off he has red hair, that should have deterred him right away, but then to combine it with indigo and dark blue on top of it all!? gonk It just wounds me.
Yeah, I hold to the thought that I would like to wear the orange coat just to cosplay a less pretty version of Kurama... I like changing it up like that because so often you do get Kurama cosplayers who want to wear his prettiest outfit or make him look as pretty as possible. To ME that gets boring after a while and I have to yawn and say, "it's all been done." That's why when I cosplayed Kurama I chose to do a battle damaged version.
I will admit the only "pretty" cosplay I want to do of Kurama is a cosplay of the outfit he wore in the movie. I just really love that tunic with the phoenix and have a great thought in my head of the materials I could use and just how nice it would look.
I am however getting a little off topic here... To the person who made this thread: You have to be true to yourself, because after all it is YOU who will be wearing the cosplay in the end. If you want to go as a pretty version of Kurama GO FOR IT! Cosplay is a personal thing, it's also about self-expression and the love of a character, think long and hard about the outfit you liked to see Kurama in the most, and perhaps go with that. I mean it's okay to go with the masses sometimes, but you don't necessarily have to pick an outfit just because you think that's what everyone else would want to see you in ^_^

I don't know why, but I love the orange coat! XDDD
And I like blue and orange- (his shirt was indigo Oo I thought it was white,,,*can't quite remember). I just wanna see it so bad on a cosplayer XDDD It's like one of the few things he wears in the show that isn't his yellow outfit Xp.
Yes I will so get a wig and be Kurama in the orange coat. Most people may recognize the hair, but when they see the coat they might be like: ? Only a uber fangirl like me might notice XDDD hahaha And I'd glomp the cosplayer for being so noticing of Kurama's attire ^-^

It looked like something I might be able to actually find in a department store if I looked hard enough. (Kinda makes me wanna go now...)

Just imagine how that conversation would turn out, ESPECIALLY with the guys. You know, the whole "are you a girl?" joke would come up. No Kurama has to be something manly, like a sumo wrestler. XD

I can see Kurama growing up to be a successful businessman (you know, the corporate lifestyle and all) or being a lawyer. Some people have mentioned him working as a botanist...but he already knows so much about plants, and he views them as weapons, not a hobby. I'd think something scientific, but that might be because I'm prejudiced to his INSANE INTELLIGENCE.

No. I certainly think Kurama will become a mathematician or a scientist. They need business and people skills if they want to go anywhere in life too. : )

and he doesn't go to college!

anyway...Yeah Kurama would probably rather do something that he can learn more about...
