Kind of reminds me of my last relationship, Both my girlfriend and i thought we were the better fighter, And it turned out we were pretty much equal just with different advantages and disadvantages, Which combined cancelled each other out for the most part.
The only thing that annoys me are women running around saying how superior they are for absolutly no reason.

It's annoying when men do it, too.

Secondly, females should not be employed in the military. It's a known fact that males instinctively protect females. It's part of survival of the species. This means that a female team member can jeopardize an entire team's safety. This doesn't even address the fact that males are physically stronger than females on average, and have a higher peak strength than females.

And since when have combat positions been the only jobs in the military? o.O I am strongly considering joining the Air Force- but I'm sure as heck not flying. Designing the planes would be... considerably more likely. Seeing how my vision disqualifies me from being a pilot or navigator anyhow.
That's a fair point. Engineers, logistics and whatnot.

Men are encouraged to form strong friendships (and they do) in the military for that very reason. You are going to fight harder and better to protect your friends. That isn't putting the squad at risk - it's helping them out.

Plus, women in the military are willing to rip your balls off if you so much as suggest that they are the weaker sex. With their rough attitude, men in the military are less likely to see them as "soft" and "fragile."

Males ARE stronger than females, but then there are men that are stronger than other men - so is it only that the super-elite end up getting in the military? A military with five men isn't much of an army. In the army there are base standards for strength, speed, and endurance. If those are met, then a person can continue on in their training. Women can meet those standards, perhaps with a little more difficulty, but they can still meet them.
There's a difference between fighting alongside friends and comrades in arms, than the instinctive need to protect the female. I would imagine.

There are women everywhere that do it. We call them feminists.

I'm not saying that females can't reach the level strength required by the military. I'm saying it disadvantages them.
Physical strength doesn't have as much to do with the military anymore -- now with these nifty new inventions called guns, the playing field has been evened somewhat. And on top of that, if it is necessary for a woman to learn to do fighting they can train.

As to needing to protect the women in the military, that's a good thing -- you need to be able to want to protect your men and women in a battle. However, I think a guy would be just a wee bit more preoccupied with the fact that he's probably getting shot at, too.

Ya know, to the topic discussion, women DO turn to bitches at the drop of their hat. I don't care if you are leaking blood from your body, I'm going to be just as inconsiderate as ever to you.

The military? I'd be glad if people said I was free from the draft. Also, who needs peak strength when you have an atom bomb? The only wars we are having now is to either oppress people or increase production of use up resources, both for economic gain. Honestly, if we don't build some bombs, tanks, and weapons every few years the cost of the materials will go down due to the lack of need or want. So who the hell even cares? It's like being told women aren't allowed to commit suicide on Tuesdays.

I hate feminists, but I'm highly pro-women's rights. Being a feminist is SAID to be supporting equality between the sexes, but in reality, it only wants to change the status quo to favor women.

Oh my God, this!
I'd call myself a feminist, but I don't want to lump myself in with those women who seem to think they're superior to men. xp

I couldn't have said any of this, any better. Thank you sir. Equal =/= superior. And rarely is physical strength used in any division in the field.

Women are likely to get pregnant.... And?
Who says one can't work when pregnant?
Guys are more likely to get injured doing stupid s**t. And quite possibly in ways that wouldn't allow them to work in any way what so ever.

Women can't be in the military, as men have a protective instinct......
Damn right I do! But that probably wouldn't be too much of a problem if they didn't get out into harms way. And women are far less likely to do so.

Gender shouldn't have any hold over what position can be obtained, or what salary could be had. The individual should, independant from it's gender.

The larger the gun, the more strength you need to use it. Don't make the mistake of assuming that just anyone could pick up a gun and use it.

Machine gun turrets are where it is at. Once you guys figure out that Muslims aren't terrorists, just victims of the cold war that no one cares about, they'll focus on the real jerks and get serious.

But yeah, recoil's a b*$%^.

I think gender, age, orientation, (all the usual status affecting qualities basically) don't mean anything in terms to work. It's the mental age, the IQ, the common sense, all of that. If someone is female and they do their job better than a male of the same job they should receive better pay. If the company wants to watch it's back about maternity leave thy have the right to do so, but let's say she's unable to have children? Same pay? Better pay?

I would like to point out that:
Your strength, emotional levels and mental capacity are not determined by your gender.
Men are not naturally inclined to protect women, that is trained in to them.
So your hypotheses are incorrect.

As to maternity pay, men can get pregnant to!

They cannot. Please don't bring the pregnant man into this. He's not male biologically. He still has a v****a and female reproductive parts. Just because he's got a male name and his driver's license says he's male doesn't make it so. Now, there are some theories that could be implemented to create a REAL pregnant man, but it would require a very expensive, dangerous procedure and we aren't quite at that technological advancement yet.

Gender roles play a huge part in how we act. Men are taught to act one way, women another. It's because of this role which is still forced on us that makes Val's assertion somewhat valid. Granted we are trying to get rid of these gender roles and stereotypes but as of right now they are still very prevalent and we act based on them (for the most part).

O.O

I dont mind when one gender says they have an advantage over the other and is proud of it (assuming its true).
But when I see people saying theyre better "just cause" I find it annoying.

Well I assume if a guy's muscly and tells a woman who's frail that he can kick her a**, than yeah, I'd consider that a true advantage but it's more person specific than gender specific.
