"Not that I know of. . ." Ellandra said, though her voice wavered. And she thought she saw something in Faolan's eyes that frightened her even more. "...... There is something though, isn't there? Something from the cards, I'm guessing..."

Faolan shook his head. "Not really. I think we'll be havin' one of each, though. Hm." He got up fluidly and went to retrieve his tarot deck, then brought it back, sitting on the floor by the couch. He flipped through them, quickly picking out The Hermit and Temperance. Holding them up, he tilted his head a bit. "What do you see in the cards, lass? Without my tellin' you their meanin', what do you see?"

Ellandra blinked. "I. . . I'm not.... sure what you mean, Faolan......... you know I can't read the cards at all..." She paused and sat up, her face paling a little as she did so as her stomach complained, then reached out and tapped The Hermit first. "There's..... well......." She paused again and closed her eyes, trying to find the right words. "This one.... seems apart... I don't know if it's the name or the image, but.... it.... he seems... very much apart...... in kind of a sad way...." She blushed, realizing how silly she must sound, calling a card a gender.
Then she looked at the other card - Temperance. "I'm..... not sure for.... for that one, it's...... more complex with the image..... but.... it.... she seems... kind of..... balancing? I'm...... not sure at all........ but....." She paused yet again and blinked, her eyes nearly crossing. "I..... I just dont' know.... it.... I have no idea what the meaning are at all..... it. she just... seems delicate, somehow......but...... but calm...? I don't know, I'm - I'm sorry...." Belatedly, she realized she'd done it again - called this card by a gender, too.
Rhian fluttered over, peering at the cards and curious, but stayed silent. For some reason whenever those things came out she felt the need to not say anything at all.

Fao smiled. "That's actually very good, Elle. You're not far off on it. The cards tend to like attaching to the gender of the person they represent, so I'm fairly sure this is our boy--" He moved The Hermit. "--and this is our girl." He moved Temperance in the same manner. "Our girl's gonna be very calm, yeah. I'm not sure on the boy. I can't get a good bead on it, really, to be honest. It's probably nothing, though." He shrugged and held the cards out to her, giving a soft chuckle. "Pretty pictures can't always determine fate, I guess."

Ellandra rolled her eyes. "Faolan.... I know by now that that isn't true, not with that deck... I.... I remember when we first met..... you did a reading for me........ I think you can guess what card I drew.... and then the.... the full one............ nothing about that was off in the least.... if - if something's wrong.... I - I. pelase, just........... are - are they going to be all right?" She asked, biting her lip and reaching for Faolan, feeling desperate for a hug all of a sudden. At the same time, Rhian fluttered down beside her and hugged her around the neck.
"Shhh, calm, calm, everything will be okay..."

The young man quirked a smile. "Of course. They'll be fine, Elle. Come nine months, you'll be birthin' us two beautiful, healthy babies. Right back there, too." He pointed to the bed room.

Ellandra swallowed. "I - I hope you're right, Faolan," she said quietly, her arms suddenly full of butterfly as Rhian hugged her and snuggled up, brushing her with her antennae. The proto seemed to have absolutely not intentions of moving, either, despite the fact that the position she had just moved in to left her wings brushing Faolan across the face. The brunette hugged the butterfly back, then sighed a little. "Maybe..... the bed would be a better idea, after all...."

Faolan pulled back as Rhian's wings hit him in the face. "Oi! Wings down, lassie." Once the Essentic complied, he moved to lift Ellandra from the couch, craddling her to his chest, then carried her to their bedroom and laid down on their bed. "More comfortable now?"

Ellandra nodded a little. "Yes," she admitted, still cradling her proto - who seemed quite content to be held and to soothe her owner/mother that way, staying silent and slightly curled around her so as not to get in the way. Then the brunette closed her eyes. "Um..... Faolan?"

Ellandra blinked up at Faolan, snuggling her Essentic child who was very deliberately keeping her owner calm, sensing the fear that lurked just below the surface. "I'm. . . a-about having the - the babies in..... in here...... I'm - I'm............... I'm afraid........ just..... just a little......" More like she was terrified, but she wasn't going to say that to her already-concerned husband.

The young man laughed, leaning over to kiss his wife's forehead. "La, girl, women been birthin' babies off in the vardos and tents of Farstep since long afore Da inherited it. I've delivered my fair share of them and I'll deliver ours, too, with a midwife. Nothin' to be scared of, I promise." He stroked her her belly affectionately. "Part of bein' a woman is havin' children. Your body will know what to do and those babies will want to be born. If there were to be problems, the cards would show it, and they don't. Besides, you'll have Zia about to let you know if it sense something amiss, yeah? No worries, love."

Elandra sighed softly, releasing Rhian who flew up to the ceiling, taking her usual spot on a rafter - where she could observe her owner while not getting in the way -, and closed her eyes again. "I - I know......... I'm just............ just scared anyway...... I - I'm sorry......"

Faolan moved to stretch out beside Elle. "No need to be sorry, wife. It's natural to be scared and worried on your first birthing. I'm scared, too."
