"Yes, of course..." Sue nodded, being silent the rest of the way as she whipped Andre into a steady speed. She knew better than to make him go so fast that she couldn't control him... that caused her to get in big trouble in Rhys's ring search.

"Whew, thought I'll never get out of there." Isadora sighed as she rested on the rim of the water fountain. With so many people joining in the festival and many booths to play, it was no wonder this event was so festive than the rest.
Then again, any holiday event was festive. Looking up at the sky, the paladin noticed that it was noon. Not to mention the hungry rising from the pit of her stomach.
"Looks like it's lunchtime." Isadora commented as she looked around to see where she would eat. Some of the booths were serving food, but she didn't want to go back into the crowd to order food. Seems like I have to find a restaurant. Isadora thought.

Ed had found herself at the front of the crowd, but since then moved to the water fountain. As was the norm, Ed was by herself, though it was not quite as normal for her to be so quiet. Everyone was gathered around all the booths, some darting down what gaps had formed amongst the milling blobs of people, some just hanging around in the shade.
Aye, 'tis kinda bright. The Litha month was oft the hottest.
Litha. Ed tilted her head up and squinted at the sun. Her family used to celebrate Litha, one of the eight fire festivals some of the local Learanians celebrated.
Somethin' always happens around a fire festival.
And the Litha month was a major one, she knew. The first time something happened was around...
Samhain, was it? What with the morphs 'n all.
Ed's Aegis sword shone on her back. Whether or not she was allowed to carry it around was unclear, but so far no one had stopped her.
Somethin's gonna happen, it will.
When she lowered her eyes, she managed a glimpse of Lady Isadora sitting on the rim of the fountain not too far away. Ed too sat down on the rim and wondered if the paladin was contemplating something. Then she heard a remark of some sort, but could not hear it above all the noise. Instead, her stomach clarified for her.
"Oooh, man, I forgot to eat."

Arai Himura FD looked around for things that Nils might enjoy, unsure if he'd be happy with anything FD picked... And then caught a glance at a shishkabob stand where you the customers seemed to be able to decide what they wanted on their skewers. It looks like they had a large variety of items to try. "Well, would you like to grab something to eat first, maybe?" FD smiled at the bard, "My treat." Nils nodded slowly, grinning happily. "Sounds good to me!" A small growl from his stomach said that it was a very good idea. He laughed sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. "Really, really good... Uhm..." He watched the people pass by, trying to get an idea of what they had so he wouldn't end up standing around for five minutes trying to decide what the heck to get. "... Something with meat, I guess."

Isadora jumped when she heard someone commented. Turning her attention, she saw that it was Ed.
"Oh, Ed. You startled me." Isadora sighed as she placed her hand over her heart. She could feel her heart began to drop its speed from the startle Ed gave her.
Hearing another growl from Ed's stomach, Isadora blinked. "You're hungry?"
A smile slowly spread across her face. "Would you like to join lunch with me? I was about to get something to eat."

"... Mommy..." Amara repeated for the who-knows-how-manyth time. The small girl was starting to get a little restless and cranky. Why did she have to sit on her mommy's shoulders when there was so much going on? It wasn't fair!! And she was still hungry! She tugged at her mommy's hair again. "Mommy... I want do--" Her sentence was cut short by the sight of a familiar face.
The small girl grinned. "Nini!!" She cried out, waving her arms frantically to grab the dancer's attention.

Aidan licked his lips, squinted one eye, and pinched a dart between his pointer finger and thumb. He only had five shots to do this, and by Elimine, he WOULD get it!
One dart flew and hit the rim of the bullseye--a narrow miss.
A second was just outside the actual circle. How was he getting WORSE?
Third and fourth missed too. So close...
He chewed his lower lip and stared at the last dart in his palm. The chance of him getting it was low..."I'm really sorry about this, Blossom, and if I don't get it..." He trailed off, tossed the dart--
--oh, it hit the bullseye. Wait, it hit the bullseye!? Aidan laughed, shocked at his own good luck. The booth owner chortled and handed him the large stuffed animal, which he held out to Blossom, grinning from ear to ear.

Blossom didn't speak as Aidan worked at the dart game, just watched the bullseye warily. First strike was a narrow miss, second shot didn't even come into her field of view... she kept silent as he started to apologize and threw the last dart, just tightened her grip on his arm and watched as the dart flew... and hit the bullseye square in the center.
"You did it!" Blossom cheered. She took the cat, hugging it against her with one arm, and pulled Aidan tight against her with the other. "Thank you!"

Ed worked up a polite grin once Lady Isadora acknowledged her. It wouldn't do to look sour; Papa always said the nobles had a thing with manners that involved looking nice and all that. Not that Ed would lump Isadora with those guys.
"Yeah! I'd love to join you for lunch!" she replied happily, falling off the rim of the fountain. Ed quickly bounded over to the paladin as she glanced again at the people around them. "Boy, is it busy. Betcha this ain't gonna last long."

Isadora chuckled as she got off the rim. "Yes, it is busy today. However, I don't think this festival will last for long. After all, we have many things to do."
Seeing that the booths were still crowded with people, Isadora noticed a restaurant not to far from the event. Though there were some people sitting and eating their meals, it was not as crowded as the food booths were.
Pointed to the restaurant, Isadora asked. "Do you want to eat over there? Or do you think we should join the crowd over the food booths?"

"The restaurant looks good," Ed piped with a bob of her head. "Waaaay too much stimulation out here. My head is ringin'!"
Her eyes flicked over the crowd in the food booths. They all seemed happy, smiling and laughing. One person nearly tipped his trencher over somehow...
Yeah. Things to do, she thought grimly to herself.
"Ah...reckon everybody'll be safe, Lady Isadora?"

Hearing her named called, Ninian looked up, searching for the owner of the cheery voice. Finally she spotted the waving Amara, the little girl sitting on her mother's shoulders, allowing her to see above the crowd.
Ninian smiled, rising and making her way to Amara and Alihi. "Hello, Amara, Alihi," she greeted them. "Are you enjoying the festivities, Amara?"

The paladin let out a small frown when she heard Ed's question. "To be honest, I don't know. It seems that all the attacks we get happen during the event. So I don't know if everyone will be safe or not."
Isadora could still remember the red shooting star when she came back from her trip when the Easter event was over. In her country, it was meant as a bad omen. But she was unsure about this country's superstitious. Sadness quickly changed to determine and hope as she looked up. "If something horrible did come, then it is our job to stop it whatever it is. After all, we can't let anyone get hurt. Even if we are being turned against each other. Right, Ed?"

"Nini~" Amara extended her arms out towards the dancer, a goofy grin on her face. Alihi, noticing this, carefully lifted Amara off of her shoulders and held the child out to Ninian, nodding slightly. Amara wanted a Ninian hug.
"I'm having fun!" Amara continued, still holding out her arms, almost as if she were demanding for a hug right now. "Are you having fun, Nini?"

"Damn straight, Lady Isadora!"
Ed punched the air to exaggerate her enthusiasm, hardly caring her use of language around the paladin. In truth, she was uneasy. But Ed doubted anyone wanted to see a sulky Ed, so she had to keep up the pep! Especially in times as uncertain as these. Drastic changes in people either meant something really good or something really awful.
"I'm not expecting that Asami b***h to show her face 'round these parts again. So I ain't expecting us to start barking and tearing at each other, at least not so soon. "
