Sabertooth Arrancar

PostPosted: Wed Jun 10, 2009 10:12 pm

Opehlia grinded her head against the table. She brought her hands up and clutched them to the side of her head. She refused to beleive this. She didn't look up as Horatio offered her something, a smell she vaguley remembered from her human life. Her breath caught in her throat. She coughed, her shoulders shaking. She was on the verge of hysterics, and there wasn't much she could do about it.

((I'm sorry. Like I said, blame the shoujo manga stories! crying ))

Though the other one seemed unresponsive, the male Arrancar was able to give him a little bit of detail about the other; more specifically, her name. "Ophelia-san, huh? That's a nice name," thought Xeion and once again moved to break the tension between the three there as well as stop the table from shaking. His tea was spilling all over the table top, some even landing on his pants, though they were but small droplets of tea.

"So, you're Ophelia-san, is it?" asked Xeion with a curious smile on his face, placing his hands on his chin while he rested his elbow onto the table. He was amused at just how much the other male Arrancar seemed to care for the female one like they were somewhat caring for each other, even though that fact isn't quite evident by how she's acting towards her, but still, Xeion could sense both of their feelings, although weak, has the potential to become something strong. That's what Xeion was aiming for -- to make them understand the powers of live and friendship; to help them transcend their belief system as typical grunts who kill and maim. Xeion wanted them to experience what it was like to truly have fun, to truly enjoy the company of the other. In other words, Xeion wanted to teach them how to become happy; and in the end, hopefully make friends with them.

Xeion saw Ophelia-san's resistance to the cake she was being presented with by her partner. As such, Xeion decided to help him out. "You know, what he's saying isn't exactly true. This world is made up of your imaginations too. That strawberry cake can taste like the thing you want it to taste. It could taste like the most wonderful cake you've ever eaten or it could taste like a rotten gym sock in your locker room floor."

(( >.< ))

Opehlia didn't respond to him. She hissed softly to the table top and began to do what she did in her mortal life.

She began thinking of ways that she could maim her captor. Of what she would do. It worked the last time and she was hoping it would now. She clecnhed her fists tighter, burying them into her dirty, matted hair. With a loud crunch, her jaws came down on the edge of the table, creating dents in it. She bit down harder, until her jaws ached, and blood trickled down her lips.

She still kept her eyes tightly shut, and she was going to scream soon if this didn't stop. She'd explode out of this stupid place. She'd go back to how she was before. eating and fighting. Maybe some torturing here and there.

The muscles nears her eyes twitched as she remembered her treasure. Not wanting to betray this fact, she flexed her shoulder muscles to make sure the bundle was still there. It was. She relaxed a little, then forgot about it, her concentration focused once again on bad thoughts.

Xeion was thrown aback by Ophelia-san's sudden hostility. It seemed as though she literally abhorred this place down to the last blade of grass the numerous, pancake-eating chibi bunnies walked on as they ate. However, Xeion thought that Ophelia-san was probably just scared to admit that she was finally feeling some sort of warm emotion aside from the usual hate and pain she says was pleasurable to someone of her nature. Xeion didn't believe in that, however, as was her reactions. She was simply in denial, in his opinion, and needed to be pushed the right way to get her to respond.

Walking over to her in a clam manner, he lowered his head to face her at eye level. At once, Xeion noticed droplets of blood fall from the side of her lips as an effect of clamping down on the metal table so much. With a smile, he took out his handkerchief and began to wipe the trailing blood off of her lips. "You're free to hurt me a bit later, if you want to, after we get out of this dimension as that would be impossible right now, but I suggest you calm down for a bit, please? We aren't going to hurt you. Nobody's here to cause you pain and suffering. You're free for now; free with nothing to hold you back. Free to express yourself, free to cry, free to scream -- whatever."

Finished with wiping the blood of the side of Ophelia-san's lips, he smiled, put his handkerchief back into his pocket, and stroked his left in her dirty, messy hair, which surprisingly didn't feel dirty or messy at all. In fact, it felt soft, undamaged, and easy to manage. "Your hair is terrific. Now if you could learn how to comb your hair, maybe you'd have your little Arrancar friend over here fall head-over-heels for you, ne?" he smiled, turning to the male Arrancar. "Am I right, mister -- ?" he went on, expecting the male Arrancar to finish what he was saying. He wanted to know his name too, of course.

Opehlia grunted. She was tempted to snap at the hand that was wiping the blood away from her face, but this dimension forced her to withhold any aggression to it's creator. She tried, strained even, and couldn't budge from where she sat with her jaws clamped to the table.

She didn't know what this feeling was that kept trying to creep into her damaged Mind, and she didn't want to know. She took in a deep shuddering breath, choking back a sob. Why her? Seriously. All she did was eat and torture Shinigami every once in awhile. So why does things like this always happen to her? people trying to change her. In...different ways, but always trying to change her. She huffed a growl, still not opening her eyes.

Xeion saw that his gentle acts weren't really as effective as he would have hoped, though it seemed that Ophelia-san was able to calm down a little bit after he did. Turning to the male Arrancar, he smiled at him. "Maybe you could do a better job at comforting her, Mr. Arrancar. You are her lover, after all, right?" he said, stepping away from Ophelia-san to make room for the male Arrancar to do his magic and maybe, just maybe, calm her down for a bit. Xeion simply smiled as he watched from the sidelines, hoping that this would awaken the long-parted feelings of love and happiness in between the two Arrancar and finally get them together in a harmonious symphony, made of love, trust, understanding and friendship.

"With Due respect Shinigami... 'Mr.' makes me feel old, Secondly, my Name's Horatio... Horatio Reeves.. number 16/6 Fraction of the Sexta espada... " Horatio nearly choked at the word 'lover' , he was not the least bit amuse at the thought, the thought alone had not even crossed his mind, him and Ophelia functioned as a unit, partners, allies but it was something he felt not possible, ' lover'; long he believe Ophelia only possessed love for slaughter, killing and feeding. Taken in by such a suggestion... "Lovers?... Hardly... We're at best partners, companions of the sort."

"Ophelia... If we're stuck here... try to make the best of it... really try some of the strawberries..."

"Horatio-san, huh?" Xeion repeated with an amused grin. "Well, Horatio-san, for partners; companions, you sure act like lovers -- that's for sure."

Teasing the two Arrancar for a bit, Xeion saw that Horatio-san was once again attempting to have Ophelia-san eat some of the strawberry cake. This time however, Ophelia-san was silent and calmer than when she was a while ago. Maybe it had something to do with Horatio-san? Probably. "Hey, Horatio-san -- you two seem to get along well. Why not make true my statement a bit earlier and just be lovers instead of companions? Both of you already have the chemistry down pat. Why not proceed further?"

Opehlia lifted her head up an inch and then smashed it against the table. The pain snapped her back to focus and she hissed. What was with this? Strawberries? Lovers? Disgusting.

She began to growl, the sound increasing in volume. She was sick of this. She was sick of this place, both of them, everything. Her head snapped up and Opehlia bared her fangs. She shoved back the stupid chair she was sitting on and her muscles clenched. She stood, her hands tightly balled into fists. Her claws dug into her skin, causing small rivlets of blood to run down them.

"Either of you say one more word, and I'll tear out your throats. I swear to it." She said in a deadly soft voice.

Xeion knew of Ophelia-san's threats and that, with her being somewhat similar to Feiy-sama, knew that he needed to project a confident and fearless image to her to somewhat subjugate her. He needed to make the fact known that she was safe and that it was okay to let out her pent-up feelings, but at the same time, make himself look tough and intimidating, almost fearless. It was like dealing with Feiy-sama herself all over again.

Quickly, Xeion grabbed hold of both her hands, Xeion pulled out and opened her fists and pulled them away from her skin so that she won't be able to ball her hands and hurt herself any more than what she had already done. Xeion leaned in, a smile etched on his face. "Why? What's wrong with saying lovers? What's wrong with saying strawberries? What's wrong with trying to be happy?" he asked rhetorically, his voice commanding, but at the same time, gentle as was his hold on the Arrancar's hands.

"Go ahead then, I said those words. Tear my throat out. Make me bleed to death. Make true your threat, if you can," he said, raising his reiatsu slightly, but only to show her that he was in charge for this moment, not her. "However, if you miss your chance of taking me out at this close range...I will take that as a hostile act and make the necessary actions in response to it."

(( I don't really know what this dimension does, if it can stop violence or that sort of thing...So...))

Opehlia snarled, jerking her head back as he came so close to her. He smelled strange. Not the blood and death smell she was used to. She wrinkled her nose as he opened his mouth and began to speak when she had said not to.

A grin stretched across her face as he dared her to tear out his throat. She hapily obliged. Her own Reitsu increased in response to his, and her muscles tightened until they were hard. She snapped her head forward, tilting it so she could more easily get at his exposed throat. As she did this, a memory flickered to life. Of her Human life. She saw what she had done to those men again, how good it had felt to be rid of them. And they're pills. They're constricting hand and rough words telling her she wasn't what she knew she was. A roar spilled out of her mouth as Xeion's face was replaced with that of one of the men from her Human life. She jerked her hands back to try and get them away from him.

"Shinigami... Have you ever heard of those life lessons where somethings... just can't be changed... like 'no matter how hard you try, there will always be people who hate you' .... Ophelia is like one of them, people, all individuals are like chemicals... some click, some don't, point is you cant change an oil into a water... Let her be, We shall talk." Horatio Seemed to have given up with settling Ophelia, He figured that they could handle themselves. "What... What are these things?..." Horatio sat up from his seet, walking away abscent minded before approaching a chibi big fat bunny, scooping the bunny up with both hands he turned it to face him. Horatio pulled it in close to his face, sniffing at it. " It smells funny..."

With that comment, Xeion looked over to Horatio-san and smiled at him. Although Ophelia-san really needed the attention at this point, Xeion thought that it was also important to respond to Horatio-san's inquiry. "Maybe I'm just too stupid or too ignorant to let those kinds of things bother me. All I know is that if a person gets really mad, you have to work twice as hard to make them smile again," he explained. It was quite simple, almost stupid, even. "Oh, and that thing is called a 'rabbit', Horatio-san. Be careful not to hold them tightly. They have a tendency to pass gas as their tummies are sensitive when they eat."

((edited))

Xeion, however, paid too much attention to Horatio-san to be able to notice Ophelia-san just inches away from his neck. He only noticed it when he heard the snapping sound of her teeth clenching together. Xeion looked at her aggressive actions, but didn't worry about it too much for as soon as her teeth would even begin to clamp down on his throat, Ophelia-san would be overwhelmed with thoughts from her childhood -- happy thoughts, if any at all. That's what this dimension does, so Xeion had nothing to worry about. However, Xeion couldn't help but feel sorry for Ophelia-san.

(( Thank you. ))

Opehlia's teeth stopped in mid air, just touching Xeion's throat. She fell backwards, landing on her back, staring at the colorful sky. Her eyes were wide, and her mouth slack. She blinked. There was only one memory that surfaced from her childhood. That of her special red yarn ball. It had been given to her when she was very little, and she had loved it beyond anything else. She had spent hours upon hours batting it around. Until she was taken to The Horrible Place, where the men took it from her, saying 'It indulged in her fantasies'. Her eyes stung, as if tears were trying to form. She sat up and snarled softly. The memory had brought no happinness, only more pain from the past which she had tried to forget.

Xeion saw the blank expression in Ophelia-san's eyes. Her gaze was blank. Empty. Sad. It was as if her very soul was taken out of her, crushed, and discarded. This caused her immense pain and suffering. Maybe this was the reason why she doesn't allow herself to be happy? Maybe something in her past happened which led her to forcefully warp her mind so that she could cope up with the pain and suffering around her. The poor young lady, how long had she been like this? How long did she have to suffer like this? It was obvious to Xeion that the memories triggered something deep inside of Ophelia-san. Maybe this was his chance to get through to her, finally.

Extending his hand towards her, Xeion smiled. "Is this what you were looking for?" he asked, tapping into Ophelia-san's memory and added cosmic energy into it to make her memories appear "real" in this dimension. in the end, a big, red ball of yarn appeared in his hand and presented it to Ophelia-san. Hopefully, this will get her to open up to them.
