Ellandra nodded. "Just a little. mostly what i remember is your hair, and thinking how wonderful you were - for a boy." A smile came to her face at that. "I. . . I was sick, when I was that age - after we were separated. . . I . . " she bit her lip. "My father was. . . very angry that I kept insisting on going back to you. . . back to Farstep. . ." She didn't want to go any further into tdetail on that though, so she changed the subject. "W-what else can I do, though? I hardly have any sort of useful skill. . ."

"Could help with the burlesque show," Faolan said, dodging a swat to his arm. "Or you could run the ticket booth some. They need daytime people for it." He rested back against the headboard, moving Elle so she could use him as a pillow. "I remember having a really bad fever when I was eight and for some reason Da and Grandmother argued about my being sick. I have absolutely no memories of our meeting." And that made him very sad.

Secretly, Ellandra was relieved that Faolan was feeling better enough to tease her like that again, but she swatted at him for the comment anyway. "The ticketbooth could work. . . you okay with having Rhian underfoot still, though?" She asked, looking upwards at thee perched butterfly with a smile. "And. . . odd.... d' you suppose we were literally sick from being separated, Faolan?" she asked quietly, stroking his hair again. "and it's all right, I don't remember much either. . . Really, just your hair. I want our baby to have that hair. . ."

Faolan glanced up at the mentioned Essentic and shrugged. "I don't mind her, Elle. I'm teaching her to count." He looked back at her, brow furrowing a bit. "I dunno. We could've been sick from it, but our illnesses would've been similar. Did Da say anything about us meetin'? He'd have known about it. He knows everything that goes on here." The wistfulness his wife had for the bright orange hair he'd had as a child made him smile. He reached over and placed a hand on her belly. "Think it might be nice to see our wean come up with a bit of your colorin', too."

Ellandra nodded. He didn't know; he had no idea I'd met you back then, but apparently he remembered.... something about coming in and finding you unconscious with..." she paused, because her only memory of the woman Faolan called "Grandmother" was a rather frightening image to her, then continued, "A-anyway... no..... and, actually, I *did* have a fever.... but mostly I just remember crying a lot. . . and then my mother took me out to make a flower crown because she thought it would make me feel better.... a-and......." She stopped talking and shook her head, going back to the thought of their baby. "My coloring? Whatever for? But, hmm, maybe by chance we'll get lucky and both get our wishes somehow."

"Found me unconscious with who, Elle?" Faolan asked, frowning some. He'd never heard this before. At the mention of her mother, he hugged her against his side, silently letting her know he was there for her, and stroked at her belly. "Could always consult the cards if you want." Sometimes it was truly hard to tell when he was joking.

Ellandra snuggled close to him, making a face as she became more aware of the taste in her mouth from earlier. "The - the one you call "Grandmother"..... I remember her a little, she scared me with the way she looked at me. . ." She paused for a moment, then giggled. "Well, why not? Couldn't hurt to try, at least, hmm?..... But first....... I really want to go brush my teeth..... and........... I'll need to, um, clean out the garbage can in the front room...."

Faolan watched her, a confused frown on his face. "Grandmother was always a nice. She was good to me as a boy. I don't see why Da would find me unconscious around her unless it was when I got that bad fever." Yeah, 'cause the woman that had pretty much raised him would never have hurt him, right? He blinked, an ear twitching at her mention of the trash can. "You're gonna do chores now?"

Ellandra blinked. "I have to clean it unless you want the whole vardo smelling of vomit." There. .. . . . really wasn't any more to say about that.

Ellandra hurried off to clean out the garbage can - and to brush her teeth- coming back a few minutes later a little out of breath from hurrying but none the worse for wear. She entered the bedroom and sat own on the bed beside Faolan without lying down. "Do you want to try doing a reading?" She asked, her eyes sparkling. "Even though nothing may come of it, it would be nice to try, I think. And the closest Rhian's come to seeing the cards is helping collect the ones Zia molts."

Faolan moved around on the bed, stretching out his long legs. He pulled Elle over so she was straddling his hips. "I want us as close as possible for this." He held up his tarot deck, having retrieved it while Elle was cleaning up. "We'll do a single card reading, but we have to be on the same page with this, you ken?"
Licking his lips, a little nervous at doing a reading that was so personal and required two people. After shuffling the deck, he held it up to Elle. "Shuffle it, too."

Ellandra blushed deeply, but nodded. She wanted this to work, after all, and did as Faolan asked.
Aboive, Rhian watched curiously, before fluttering down to hover beside her sibling and peer at him curiously.

Faolan sighed, taking the cards back and concentrating on what they wanted to tell him. Even though he'd been taught that he could use others to help in a shared reading, he never really done it before. Not that he recalled at any rate. He looked up at Ellandra, giving her a faint smile. "Think about that life inside you, wife." He took one of her hands and placed it on his chest, his heart beating beneath where it rested. Her other hand he placed on the deck, his hand on the other side of the deck. "Cut the deck, Elle, same time I do."

Ellandra nodded, her own heart racing a little as she focused on their little one, the little one that was yet to come, that was just starting to grow - what would it be like? Was it a boy or a girl? What would it look like - most importantly, would it be healthy? She stayed silent, careful to time her movements with Faolan's.
Rhian looked to Ziazan, tilting her head questioningly. She wanted to know what was going on, but didn't think that now was a good time to speak.
