Bitting her lip and taking a deep breath Nastara schooled her features to a distant haughty politeness before turning around. " Yes Mr. Asher, I am fine. Is there something I can do for you? " The more she looked at him the harder it got to keep the hurt out of her eyes. At a slight squeal of playfullness from the kids she used it as an excuse to shift her attention back to them, as though checking to see that they were alright.

He was slightly taken aback by the 'mister' surname used so roughly, but he still tried to remain on-task. "Um... Wow I'm no good at this. But, uhh... I can tell I offended you back there. I'm not entirely sure how, but I'd like to know and I hope that you would be able to forgive me..." He can't look at her, so he stares at the ground. He had already lost his train of thought and couldn't recall what else he had wanted to say immediately.

Swallows hard hoping that he didn't hear it. She can see that he's obviously hurting too, and is very confused by it, but to be truthful struggling to hold back the few tears that seem it insist they must be cried. " You didn't offend me at all, you simply stated a fact. I'm certainly not so fragile that I can't a little rejection Mr. Asher"

His eyes widened noticably. "Rejection?! How would I find cause to reject you? You're the sweetest lady I've ever met. Why else would I have so quickly agreed to you coming along to the park?" He was quite confused himself.

Letting her confusion show she took a seat on the grass. "Perhaps there has been a misunderstanding. May I speak bluntly?" She waited for a sign of acknowledgement before continuing. " I felt quite flattered that you agreed to spend so much time with me today, coming over for lemonade, then inviting us to the park. However, you are quite dashing and so I assumed you must have many other females to spend time with. So I mentioned it seeking to see just how.....preoccupied....you might be. And to my surprise you stated that I was the only one you'd met, which to my mind explained why you'd spend so much time with someone like me, you haven't met anyone else. I must admit I'd been reading rather more into things. I was not offended, I just realize I'd thought there was something going on here that wasn't...." unsure what else to say she trailed off.

"Oh!! Oh, my deep apologies. I didn't mean it like that at all. When I met you I also met some other females. And Fae often drags me around places. Just, after meeting you I don't really notice if they're interested in me or not..." He blushed. "You think I'm dashing?"

Shyly she nodded and hid behind her hair as she was wont to do when blushing. " Quite so. I've found myself to be rather....taken....with you...." She bit her lip and tilted her head more to hide better, realizing she'd just said too much.....

Asher's normal smile basically returned. "I'm glad to hear that, and hopefully you will be glad to hear that I'm quite taken with you as well, Nastara. You have no idea how long I sat around wondering when I should contact you..." He took his paw and lightly pushed her hair away from her eyes while tilting her chin up, a genuine smile on his face and his eyes sparkling. "Well, my fair maiden, I do believe you prepared a lunch for the kits and us. Would you like to take a break and eat?" He takes her paw in his own and kisses it lightly once, happy knowing that he hadn't totally screwed up.

Asher's words brightened Nastara's face like the sun returning after a thunderstorm. Her heart started to pound as she smiled from ear to ear and took just a moment to re-run what he had said through her mind, unsure that she'd heard correctly. He was taken with her as well!?! How could she not be glad about that?
Realizing that he'd said more and was awaiting a response she nodded. " I think the kits should be just about starting to get hungry. But I should probably get things a bit more set up before we call them over."
Nastara headed back to the blanket and began unpacking the basket. She pulled out a medium sized bamboo mat, laid it out, and began removig condiment items from the small cooler in the top of the basket. Next she laid out the bags of veggies and meats, pulled out some paper plates and the bread. Watching her unpack must have looked like the basket was bottomless and she'd packed for an army! " Well, I think that should be all I'll need to begin, shall we call the kits?"

Asher happily followed her back to the blanket, giddy over what happened. As he watched her unpack, his eyes slowly widened. "Wow... How did that all even fit in the basket? You are definitely prepared... And yes; Will you call them over or should i go round them up?" he grinned and asked.

Nastara smiled, " I just wanted to be sure that I packed enough for everyone to get full tummies. I admit that I may have went just a little bit overboard. But ultimately it is better to be overly prepared and not need things than to be without and need it. And it would probably go better if you went and rounded them up. Jasper can be a bit stubborn sometimes...." Feeling a bit embarrased she continued to unpack lunch, setting out the pitcher of cherry lemonade, and some glasses.

Asher nodded and responded simply with "I see. And alright, I'll go get them." He smiled again when he saw the cherry lemonade, and he headed off to get the kits. At first they seemed a little disgruntled about pausing their play, but as soon as they were reminded of food they dashed towards the blanket and arrived before Asher, even though he broke into a light run after them. Aria didn't stop too well and ended up skidding, tumbling onto the blanket, and laughing gleefully. Asher chuckled and rolled her right-side up before looking up at Nastara. "Shall I pour the drinks while you prepare the food?" he inquired.

Watching Asher with the kits Nastara couldn't help but grin "Certainly, Asher. I know Jasper will want some of my lemonade-" Nastara winked at the young kits exclamation of "SCORE!".
"There are also some juice boxes in the cooler." She turned to smile at Aria " So I hear you are a picky eater, I hope my food meets with your approval little one. I brought everything seperatly just so I could make sure I wouldn't put anything you don't like on your sandwich." She gestured at the mat where all the sandwich ingredients were laid out, much like Subway. "Just tell me what you'd like and I'll make it for you."

Aria blushed slightly at the mention of her eating, but her eyes sparkled curiously when she saw all the food. She pointed to lettuce, cheese, and cucumbers, but that was all she really recognized. "Um... what are the other things?" she asked sheepishly.

Smiling Nastara pointed out the rest of the vegetables " These are tomatoes, they're squishy, a little bit salty and sometimes bitter, I like them. Her are olives, I would call them....tart and squishy. Jasper loves them. The light green peppers are pepperonci's they are spicy and crunchy. The other cheese with the green and red bits in it is called pepper jack and the bits are peppers in it that make it spicy. The white stringy things are onions, I use sweet onions so they are tart, crunchy, and sting just a bit. They actually open up your taste buds so you can taste things more. hmm. . . there are some sliced dill pickles, crunchy and sour- they taste good with tuna. And for meats, if you would like, there is seasoned chicken, spiced turkey, honeyed ham, and tuna." Nastara was obviously enjoying this, showing the kit all the different kinds of foods, watching her satisfy her curiousity. " If you'd like to try anything just ask. I won't make you eat or try anything you dont like my dear."
