For her part, perhaps because the planets were in the proper alignment to not want to delay watching Zhane squirm in the face of all of the questions Seiji would undoubtedly have during and after the video, Sellexi was being cooperative about settling in for her nap.

As soon as she was laid into the tub of freshly-drawn water, she swam a lazy circle before falling still, grabbing for one of her many bath toys to draw to herself and hold as she quieted.

As large azure eyes began to blink closed, Zhane quietly left her to her rest as he walked quietly out of the bathroom, closing the door halfway behind him.

....and then it was just him, Seiji, and the video.

"Its been a long, long time since I've seen this one." he warned the young boy as he entered the living room. "I THINK I remember it answering most of my questions on its own, but...if you need me to pause it or anything..." he faltered.

He was babbling. Feh. Best to just get this over with and let Seiji decide for himself what his questions were, yes? Yes. Padding to the kitchen, he fetched the video from the tabletop and brought it back with him, popping it out of its case as he went.

At this he stifled a chuckle. "I don't think she'll get MAD..." he told Seiji. "If she's anything like my mom and dad were, she'll probably be glad she didn't need to be the one in the hot seat for this..."

They'd agreed, after all, that Seiji might have some questions once Nani's condition had been explained to him and, when that time came, they would answer them.

....and as it looked as though that time was now, he saw nothing wrong with it.

Feeding the video to the player, he waited for it to whir to life and the screen to flip on before taking a seat on the other end of the couch to watch as well.

That was fortunate, because for as much as Seiji didn't seem bothered by the movie, Zhane squirmed enough for the both of them, waiting for the explosion that never seemed to come.

There were no "EW GROSS"es from Seiji, likewise there were no "You and my mom did THAT??" and.....that was, at least, favorable. He'd rather not wanted to explain to Nani why it was their son had locked himself in his room and would not come out, after all...

And there it was. Not the sort of question he'd necessarily been expecting, but difficult to answer all the same.

"Well...." Zhane began, scratching at the back of his neck in contemplation. "Not everyone does that with someone. And the people who do, all have different reasons. But, IDEALLY, its how two people who care for each other very much show it on a deeper level."

He lets that linger a moment and then backtracks to clarify. "Two unrelated people." he says. "Like....your mom and I. Two people who met and fell in love and decided they wanted to get married."

"As for the second question...." he continued, trying to keep things from getting awkward. ".....I never did, no. But that's also because I didn't really talk to other people much when I was your age. I was usually poking around in the woods someplace."

"Well, its not something you should be worried about right now." Zhane assured him, offering a thin smile. "Things....get a whole lot more complicated once you grow up. And when girls, or maybe even just one girl in particular, stop looking gross, you'll know it."

He wondered if he should just leave it at that or not, and decided that may be the best bet, unless he had more questions. Best to keep things on the side of 'informative' and steered clear of 'confusing and traumatizing'.

Looking up in the direction Seiji had bolted, and then grinning at the tackle the boy received from a newly-styled Ren, Zhane punched the power button on the remote, plunging the TV into blackness before rising to greet them as well.

"How'd it go?" he asked, leaning in to kiss Nani's cheek.

Turning to watch the kids roughhouse and then take off running, he chuckles a bit.

"Things are okay. Lexi's down for a nap, though I don't know how much longer that's going to last with those two tearing around, and Seiji and I had a talk about a few things..."

His tail gave a hesitant flick behind him. "....and he seemed to take it okay, I think."

"Well, he finally put the question to me about what was going on with you. Wanted to know why you were getting bigger and feeling tired and sick, and I decided maybe it was time to sit him down and talk about--"

He trailed off, eying Tinania with concern. "You want to lay down for a bit?" he asked, furrowing his brow. "You look about ready to keel over..."
