"Ummm... lemme see..." the Guardian whispered, trying to remember as much of the 'French for the Stupid' book she bought as possible. It was the only way she could find out what Callix was saying. Came with a tape, too, since it would be much too easy to have French be phonetic.

Tapping her chin, she hazarded a guess. "Something about being pretty and love. That's all I can remember. Sorry." Lu titled her head apologetically, watching Callix nod in agreement.

"Sati pretty!" he said aloud, translating as best a toddler could. "Love. Love Sati."

"But don't let him fool you. He's mean to me." she huffed, giving him a brief glare. But like that ever worked. She could never get the toddler to do or behave the way she wanted.

Callix giggled, but tried to make sure his wings wouldn't flare out and poke somebody's eye out or something. He sure did like Sati. She was nice and pretty and wasn't mean. Why did some Fa'e females have to be mean?

"Sati is friend?" he asked.

"Oh, please. You're more than welcome to babysit him anytime. I need some time off from him and the other kids anyway." Lu said and sighed. Sometimes the stress was just too much. "Maybe I'll take a vacation sometime next month. That would be so nice..."

"Sati is friend!" And that made his day. In Callix's world, another female friend was like another birthday. Like a present. And Sati was amazing, and his oldest friend. And the only one with four arms! "Sati is pretty friend."

(( Sorry about the wait! gonk I forgot. Whenever you'd like to have Sati abbysit, lemme know, cuz it's perfectly fine with me. ))

Callix nodded with much fervor. Not only did he want Sati to be his pretty friend, a trick would be nice too. Sati was looking better and better with every passing moment!

But Lu could tell that no matter what Sati did, Callix would worship the ground she walked on. What a ham.

"Oohhhh..." murmured the child, staring intently at the golden trident Sati held. How'd she do that? His Guardian couldn't do that! She couldn't do anything cool! He touched it gingerly with one hand, reassuring himself that the trident wasn't just an elaborate illusion. Though even if it was, it was still tres bon!

"Sati 'mazing!" Callix proclaimed, casting a 'and you're not!' glance at his Guardian, who stuck her tongue out at him.

Niko had been planning on heading towards the Fa'e building, which had for the past few monthes been covered in some sort of fog. She almost passed right by it, before she stopped and back pedaled abit, curling her wings to her shoulders as she frowned. It's certainly in the same spot... Where'd the cloud go? She wondered, before slowly walking up to the door, peeking her head in slightly before sliding in all the way, looking around at the splotches of heat. She wasn't the only one there, but she wasn't sure if she should bother the others there. Instead, Niko decided to look around what was apparently the new building, though she felt it'd be wise to just stick to the main room. So she sat down on the nearest available surface, looking at the high ceiling, with a new second story visible above. Wow, it's certainly different. She thought idly.

Sati laughed at his sudden grumpy face;
'If the wind changes you'll stay like that.' she teased.
'And what's no fair? If you don't have powers now, there is no telling that you won't develop them. Or even if you don't, you are still special - and you have your wonderful wings,' Sati said, trying to placate the toddler.

'Silly little pouting boy,' Sati chuckled, tickling Callix's cheek.
'Other powers? Umm not in so many words.' she wondered how she could explain the sharing of her body with Kali's soul fragment. She might not have to; she felt Kali stirring, and she shook her head, not wanting to scare the Fa'e child.
