That was probably because you were drinking every night. domokun One of the best hangover evasion methods is not to sober up in the first place. xd Or, y'know, to drink responsibly. rolleyes

I've only ever had one hangover and that's because I drank waaaaaaaaaaay too much Southern Comfort. Vodka doesn't give me them but I do always wake up when I sober up.

Saturday nights are often quiter affairs for me.
Friday nights are paining the West End red since we're all there already.
Saturday is painting Romford red, the problem being romford is home to some unsavoury people so the red is often blood.
So we tend to do pubs or the dogs if going out. drunken DVDs/PS2 or poker if staying in.

I meant to ask earlier, but why does the person in your signature picture seem to be snoring badly lined coffee?

Because a good cup of coffee does more for me than a line of coke?
As I may or may not have mentioned. I don't smoke & spurn all forms of recreational or medicinal drugs barring Alcohol Caffeine & Tetanus boosters.
I believe she's testing the quality.

Yeah I was like that until I found out I was epileptic. and even then I did I didn't want the medication at first... Then I had 3 seizures in one night and had to reconsider my moral standing on medical drugs. I then started to be more accepting of painkillers etc. and now I resent not having the choice as far as most recreational drugs and excessive amounts of caffiene are concerned. sad
I guess I decided that chemicals weren't all bad if they could stop me having from having seizures and potentially cure me.

Fair enough, I'm not against drugs that save lives or cure medical conditions.
But our 'Better Living Through Chemistry' is endemic of the way our culture embraces anything with a short term gain, with little or no though for the longer term.
Been at work all day, snort a line or two & get smashed on bottles of Bud. Wake up hungover, take some paracetemol. Paracetomol deosn't work, take some ibuprofen. Missed breakfast (unless you count the dystopian pill meal idea) but grab a starbucks double esspresso on the way to work. Wonder why you now have stomach cramps. Drop by the doctor to see if he can help. Overworked doctor prescribes some antibiotics & asks you to contact him if they have no effect. Hurry back to work, stressed since you're now behind on your deadline & will have to stay late. Been a long day, snor...
Rinse Repeat

If I can afford to stay up until after I sober up then no hangover, if I go to sleep drunk, I wake up hungover. gonk domokun But getting drunk helps me stay awake (somehow) anyway, so it normally works out fine. 3nodding domokun

I think we'll see some change, for better or worse with Gen Y and Z. I apparently don't belong to Gen X or Gen Y. I'm inbetween. I'm lost crying .
Well theoretically my medication is non-essential and I could find ways of minimising the chances of seizures without it, but since my Neurologist doesn't know exactly what the trigger is that is a bit difficult. confused For me to have continued without it would have been selfish because I would be burdening the people around me with having to deal with the seizures.

I don't think I quite meke it as an X'er
I do work for a multinational & do get smashed far too often. I just avoid the recreational drugs whilst doing it.
As for the morning after, a hangover is your body talking to you so I listen rather than hide it with painkillers.
Plus Microserfs is a much better book 3nodding
Given the seizures, I don't think the theory is worth testing. You have good reason to be on medication.

On the subject of drugs, I'm going into pharmacology.
I'm not aiming to develop anything life saving, in fact it's more feasible that I'll develop some revolutionary cosmetic and become incredibly wealthy. That's the plan anyway.
