Arguing about it isnt going to change that Here's the deal: You're blowing something so simple as an off-hand remark that in no way should affect you whatsoever, completely out of proportion. You could say you're opening a stuck lid in a small jar with a freakin' hydrogen bomb. Now, seriously, you should also learn how to not blow a fuse for every little thing, as well discerning when comments are meant with ill will and when they're meant without offense, otherwise you'll never make it as an artist. Because, seriously, if you want to make art, and be praised honestly for it, you have to take A LOT of criticism, many with certainly malicious intent, but also good criticism that can help you grow, as well as stuff you already know and don't need to take in. And threatening to leave the guild over such a small thing... Wow, just wow. I hadn't seen such a threat since 2003 or '04, back in the beginnings of Gaia, when the community was small enough. And back then, my reply would've been the same: Empty threats. Those who leave for real, do so in silence, walking away, and just telling those that really care. Otherwise, this type of tantrum is just a cry for attention. This is my final advice:

This post shall be my last post in this guild:
I do not care to become a true artist, I draw for FUN, and because I honestly have nothing better to do other then my job.
When people go saying that an EXPRESSION of a face is wrong, instead of pointing out those of more importance in the image, then its kind of annoying. I was just putting a point out to people that when I post art that says "in my own style", I dont like being criticized about the piece!
Oh and also? I AM from early 2004 thank you very much. So if you used that as some kind of silly little insult to those who were in 2004, thats kind of ridiculous.
But whatever! It was nice meeting those who actually took the time to speak to me during the days I've been in this guild.

Can I post one of my old drawings so that this topic will continue being about artwork and not about two people arguing? Alright, here's an Aya I drew some months ago:  I can take criticism, but whatever you'll say, I bet I've already said it to myself anyway. Like her head and face looking retarded, etc.

Ohohohoh, lolis galore! hihi ^^, I just draw good 16-teen girls and near to flat chest n__n... I can remember only a few good pics about men (19 years old +/- )... I suffer drawing most of backgrounds TwT; may be my best are trees, rocks, some buildings and dragons nxn'...

I don't get it. I never said anything bad about the drawing. In fact I complimented it. I only said that the expression would never actually happen. But people draw characters contradicting their own personalities all the time. The one thing I hate most in this world is an unresolved misunder---

Real shame it resulted in someone leaving the guild but, oh well.

(and a Touhou fan ofcourse.. and fan of lots of other stuff xD ) I must agree. Some fanarts are good and amazing, but when you see Touhou fanart...... you get in a dreppresion of "I cannot draw T-T"....... so good it is
