Mawkrin They seem to be rather connected to magick, yes. I'm not sure why. I don't have a cat though; just a dog and two cockatiels. are cats the only animals connect to magick, or are there more???

All animals are. Everything is. Rocks, trees, minerals, clouds, stars, crystals... dirt. Even the little earthworms and bacteria and cars and cities.

But cats, they stand out. Lots of people think that wiccans and pagans own cats. So, do any other animals connect to magick like cats do?

Scubas_girl Cygan Czarwonica Meri Michigan is lacking in the metaphysical store department, but we've got all this nature (at least where I live) instead. The shop I used to work for was pretty cool until the owners drippy daughter came in and tried to run the place. It was sad, cause that was one of the more gratifying jobs I had. Retail, but with heart, ya know? I loved doing readings there too, the room was rather peaceful.
As far as immediate results go, you'll find they don't happen unless its something like drinking mint tea to settle a stomach (even then is a menial waiting period). If you practice, of course your skills would get better, but theres that initial practicing part. Nothing happens overnight...erm...well, not most things xd omg, another person from michigan 0.o if you dont mind me asking, where in michigan do you live?? I dont have much nature around where i live, unless i want to drive, like, 10 minutes to lake st. clair. but the shores are shut down because of ecoli. sp?

I'd like to ask for advice from some exprienced members. I have an affinity to rituals, candle magic, and working with altar and spells, but I have virtually no private space. At all. And never had. Despite acceptance of magic and Wicca from my family I can't even meditate normally, cause the first condition goes awry already. I CAN'T find the space where I would feel safe and undisturbed. At any moment of the time I can be called, asked to do something, or to go somewhere. Even at night I can get a telephone call from some travelling family member or relative (who live in time zone of 8 hours difference). scream All magical stuff I have is periodically dragged out from the boxes (even when I repeatedly and insistently plead not to do that) by curious siblings, OR parents looking for their lost stuff. If I am despaired enough to do some ritual in their presence and try to ignore them, EVERY ONE of them WILL come to me and ask, just what is that I am doing? Several times. Sometimes giggling. And we are moving often, so I can't make something permanent around me. Like some altar in the garden, for example. gonk
Just what the &*!)@## can I do in this situation? And I foresee no private space at least for the next four years still. Argh! I'm ready to pull my hairs out! stressed

I'm the best your gonna get at this time, and asking the public won't help, try this make a box altar you can carry and when you want to practice Wicca closed your door and lock it(if possible)
