Making a tensed look, Sue made her horse jump over the shield just in time for a tiny graze to go across Andre's hind leg, but not the big gash Jherek intended. She rode quite a distance, scooping up a protesting and agonized Leon.
"What are you doing?! By the name of Archanea, you're not just gonna make my leg broken, it's gonna shatter if I'm up here on a horse like this! It... HURTS!" Leon yelped.
"Aim your javelin, we might be pursued!" Sue shouted back to him. "Don't think about your pain! Your injury can be healed... I assure you. But we can't bring you back to life."
Leon blinked. Being in pain didn't make aiming any easier, and to top it off, he was on the rear end of Andre's saddle, trying to aim at a zig-zagging target with a shield that could only be penetrated by silver and magic. He lowered his weapon, and instead reached for the poleaxe he'd clipped back to his belt, the very same one he swung to turn his fracture into a break. He was told his recklessness would mean his death... but Leena was his friend, and so were these people... because they fought alongside him.
Swallowing, he gripped the axe and forgot his pain. He might not have been able to ride on his own, but if he were leaning on the nomad, he could surely get a blow in with his Regal poleaxe. "Lord Rhys... Nomad Trooper... We should end this. Just let me get close, and I'll cut right through that shield!"

Denied of both Sue and Leon via horse, Jherek turned to the only target who still wasn't mounted--Rhys.
Darn it, why is it that Light magic strikes only from directly overhead, Rhys mused as Jherek came towards him, cluttered shield and sword in his hands. He ran away from Jherek, hurdling over the various corpses until...
"Wait, guys, I have a better idea!"
As he ran, he stuffed Light back into his robes, once again pulling out Illusion. Up to this point, the tome had been... well, a parlor trick at best. The fact that it had been so ineffective against a corrupted Rei had shaken Rhys' faith that the tome was hardly any good, but this time... his first hit made him realize something. One-on-one, this bandit was a fearsome opponent, but together, if they attacked at once... he'd be focused on stopping one or two, making him unable to stop the third.
With this in mind, after hurdling over another corpse, he turned, and out of his hand a swarm of glowing bees hurdled for Jherek.
The bandit was startled for a second and as a result tripped. He tried sending the shield flying at Rhys, but the hand axe already impaled on it merely made it fall short.
"Okay, NOW!" Rhys yelled. If Sue or Leon was to finish this man off, now was the time!

Arashe pulled the child duo silently through the alley, reaching for his bow as the sounds of combat grew closer. Bringing a finger to his lips, he conveyed the symbol for silence, letting go of the girl as he took a step out of the alleyway. Shouts and explosions shook the area, as a large man with a makeshift shield stumbled about, pursued by those that he'd known from only a few weeks ago. With an explosion of light magic, a small shriek was heard as Arashe looked behind him.
Another bandit had happened upon them, and was rushing towards the trio. Swine! Ignoring the carnage behind him, Arashe ran towards the bandit, stabbing him in the stomach with the bow. Quickly pulling the bow from the man's stomach, Arashe pointed an arrow at his head.
"Look away, children." As he calmly finished his sentence, the pair looked away as he let the arrow fly into the man's skull, turning back towards the Jherek fight before the body hit the ground.
With an emotionless expression, Arashe left the alleyway, glaring at the man with the terrible shield, ignoring the knight's whines of pain. Placing the Killer Bow on his back while taking a deep breath, Arashe pulled out his Hero's Bow, aiming at the man's legs. As he exhaled, he fired a volley of 4 arrows, each aimed for the man's legs. If he couldn't move, then the others could have their way with him, and the children would not be in any more danger.
Looking backwards at the children, he made a wave of his hand to beckon them close to him, so they'd not be near the corpses. Turning his torso towards them, he patted them both on the head before bringing his attention back to the battle.

A change of plans. The shield was already down, so all Leon had to do was cut through flesh, and not metal. He looked up at Sue. "Nomad Trooper! We go closer, now!"
Thanks to Arashe's arrows, Jherek was completely defenseless to what was about to happen next. Sue sped Andre up, with Leon on the back, poleaxe ready.
Raising the poleaxe high into the air, and it shined in the sun one second before he swung, and lopped off Jherek's head with a swift and brutal motion.
Shortly after, he simply clipped the poleaxe back to his belt, and screamed in pure agony of the pain in his leg. "Sweet merciful Falchion... why does it hurt so much?!"
"Just don't move." Sue instructed him. "Milord Rhys... we should get out of here. Miss Leena, it's safe now. Come with us."
"Yes... thank you!" She exclaimed. The vendor rode alongside to see her injured friend on Sue's back. "Even you came, Leon... are you all right?"
"Does it... look like it?" He answered, wincing and glaring at her all at once. "As long as... you and Anri.. are safe... OW!"
"I wonder who's arrows paralyzed him." Sue muttered. "Everyone! Our enemy has been defeated! Let's return to the vendor district!" The trooper announced proudly.

Rhys winced as Leon screamed, wondering what muscle he'd pulled to scream like that. Or wait, was it something worse? Well, it could wait.
"Yeah, let's go. Eesh, violence in Eyris... I feel bad about all this..."
He knew full well that it was either his friends or those bandits. It just felt a little odd, leaving a bunch of corpses lying in the middle of the street, especially one so beheaded, with two arrows on his legs and one each sticking on the cheeks of his--
Wait. Where had those arrows come from? He looked around, wondering if perhaps there'd been someone else who came in to help.
(Not sure if we can see Arashe plain as day or if he's waltzing off elsewhere.)

"Good morning, Lady Isadora," a servant smiled as Isadora was walking by in the corridor. Isadora let out a smile and greeted the servant before walking off. Today was her day off from the duty. Since the incident, Nino had hired lots of guards from both near and far of Learania. With the guards either patrolling, training, or guarding, it had given some of the crew less duty to perform.
The only two type of duty that the crew needed to worry was the preparation for the upcoming festival and the wedding of Ayra and Tibarn.
Who would have thought that something good would have come out of the terrible war? Isadora thought. Thinking about Ayra and Tibarn getting married after the war had brought her memory....... a sad and lonely memory.
Isadora dug her hand over the neck of her breastplate and pulled out a silver chain. Hanging onto the chain was a ring with an aqua-green gem on it. She let out a small frown as a small pit of pain streaked across her heart.
How long had it been since she and Harken were engaged? Months? Years? Time had sure passed by so quickly; yet, she didn't know that it had been so long. She stopped right outside the castle door and looked up into the sky.
She wondered how was Harken doing. Was he alive or dead? Was he still in Elibe or did he came to Leanaria just like she was right now? Would she ever see him again? Being long absented without him had brought nothing but pain and maybe abandoned to her.
"I..... don't want to be lonely anymore," Isadora sighed as she wrapped her hand around the engagement ring. Suddenly, she heard a loud clanking noise. Wondering where the noise came from, Isadora noticed that she was in the training ground. In front of her was Amelia, taking a break from her training.
"Oh, hello Amelia." Isadora greeted and walked toward Amelia. Unbeknown to her, the paladin had forgotten to tuck the ring in.

Some of the men were having second thoughts about attacking the Giant Green Scaly Thing. Those men, who were known within the gang for their discretion, were quickly backing down as they faced what appeared to be a giant, formidable lizard, a thirteen year-old girl with an extremely formidable-looking sword, and a moron.
The very smartest one was keeping his eye on the moron.
The less intelligent ones were moving closer, and Ganon quietly sighed, bringing his claws to his guitar again, plucking a few notes before he set it down and pulled his violin off his back. "I had hoped it wouldn't come to this..."
One lunged as Ganon began to play. His hand split open between the third and fourth knuckles and continued to split open down his arm, all the way up to his shoulder.

Amelia flexed her fingers in her gloves, putting the same hand against her breastplate. A chill ran down her spine as she thought of the scars on her chest, a pair of long, clean lines that went from either end of her collarbone, joined over her sternum, and moved down under her breasts and ended underneath her ribcage, creating a narrow X. Of all people to have been able to wound her like that, it had to have been Rei... Rei, always so cheerful, friendly, bouncing around and chattering like a green-haired chipmunk, somehow he had been targeted at Easter, every last drop of foul thought or malicious will exploded out of itself until it took over his entire body, his mind. Amelia still didn't quite understand how, exactly, she had gotten him to normal as he targeted her again with another battle, and Amelia shivered again at the thought of that Mogall (she had had enough reason to fear them before, but now? The sight of a normal one was enough to make her want to scream) he had summoned, closing her eyes. Was it something she said, or was it the idea that he was inches away from obliterating one of his closest friends that made Rei come back to normal?
Either way, the thought of those occurrences only made Amelia's breath quicken, and she squeezed her eyelids together, willing her heartbeat to slow. The scars would never fade.
"Oh, hello Amelia."
Amelia nearly leaped right up, letting out a surprised sound. "L-Lady Isadora!" she half-shrieked, dropping the training weapon. Everyone always wants to talk to me when I'm deep in thought, huh?? Amelia turned to her and ran a hand through her hair, only succeeding in making it stand even more askew and at-edge, giving her the look of someone who had just walked through a windstorm. "What are... you doing here?" Amelia's eyes couldn't help but trace to the ring against her chest. A little kernel of jealousy swelled in her chest, and she pushed it away. Okay, so she wanted her own ring, but this wasn't the time to entertain those thoughts! "...A ring...?"

[[And now Blossom. :D]]
Blossom looked at the men curiously, holding her stance. The smile was still on her face, but it was hesitant now, like she wasn't sure if she should go for the look of 'cute bruiser' or 'death from below.' They all were backing up, at least slightly, by what she could see. When you were up against an eight-foot-tall (taller, actually) lizard man and a girl wielding a broadsword like it was nothing, wouldn't you be scared, too?
Blossom looked shocked as some of them approached, and then the one that lunged at Ganon suddenly had his arm split in two, all the way to his torso, making Blossom cringe. Ow. Another was moving at her, and Blossom took a strong step forward. With the momentum, both hands gripping the hilt of her weapon, Blossom swept her sword in a wide arc, giving the approaching bandit a rather nasty gash across his belly. The momentum wanted to send Blossom in a circle, and so she shifted her stance to keep her balance. She wobbled a little, but she hadn't fallen, and she was still facing the same direction. Except, y'know, now one of the bandits was bleeding and trying to decide whether it was worth it to check if his stomach had been slashed open.

((Longpoast~))
That Door. It was so tempting to go and look at. At least, that was the thought that ran through Renault's mind almost constantly now. He supposed it wasn't healthy to think about it so much. . . but how could he not? Behind that door was an enemy fully ready to destroy them all; and he was a dark, corrupted God, the enemy of both his own Saint Elimine and the lady Goddess Ashera. Being the most powerful light user who was currently in this world, he felt the ache of the dark power stronger than any there, a deep throbbing that had now become almost normal to him. From this far away, it was faint, only the slightest hint that it was there; but he would never mistake it for anything else. The moment something occurred again, he would know, and he would be ready to warn the others. No more helplessness. No more being caught by surprise. If Loki wished to destroy them, he would have to do it while they were fully prepared this time.
Renault, though, sat at his desk for the moment, poring through a few of his tomes. He'd been collecting them, especially the ones he was not familiar with; Ellight and a light version of Nosferatu, particularly. When Rhys returned, the bishop wanted to ask him about Rexaura and Valaura, as well; he'd heard a few of the others from that world speak of them and honestly, he'd like to examine them. He'd already gone through Aureola and Luce, as well; they were, as he'd expected, extremely powerful and containing formulas that encompassed much of the known magical theory, though not all, of course. The tome Melethia had given him, however, he hadn't looked through; he'd only briefly viewed it, but it seemed to be at least an A-Rank tome. And the name inside seemed to indicate that it had been written by someone related to the woman. Which, of course, reminded him of one other reason he wanted to examine the Door; there was supposedly a tome written by the Saint herself in his own world. Of course, this would be a treasure to find and keep safe. The magic contained inside would have protected it from the elements and time, but. . .
After considering this for a while, Renault finally sighed and stood, closing the book that lay on the desk before him. He would have time enough for that later. This was a break. He had a chance to relax for once, and not have to work or fight. Perhaps he could find something else to do around here as well. He began to walk towards the door, then nearly tripped and glared down at his robes. Saint robes, an honor he'd thought far beyond him. Well, it was an honor, admittedly; but, by the GODDESS, it was difficult to walk in these. They were layered and long and flowed around his feet; and at many times, under them. At least they managed to avoid all but the worst of stains and dirtying; he wasn't sure why this was. Perhaps there was some sort of blessing on them. But, he'd come back to his room to find all his normal robes transformed into these things. At times, magic could be such an annoying thing, especially if the power of a Goddess was doing it and he didn't understand why.
With a few more steps forward, Renault had left his room, then turned to lock the door. With a click, the bolt slid into place, and Renault dropped the key back into his pocket. It wasn't that he didn't trust anyone in the castle; it was simply that, being the castle, it wasn't nearly as secure as Fefga's, and there was always the chance that a thief might find his or her way in. And, with the amount of ancient treasures and mystical items residing within, it would be both a treasure house and a weapons hoard for any of a less savory type.
Now, what to do? Most everyone was out. Fefga's house was somewhere he wasn't going to go, as he'd be too tempted. He'd gotten to know the town relatively well, and in many cases it was still being repaired from the previous incidents. So, perhaps he'd find someone left in the castle to speak with? He wished Leila was still here. Her company was always agreeable. The bishop's face showed a wistful smile at the thought of the woman. But, then this thought sparked something else. Renault turned and moved back to his room, unlocking it and entering again. One book was taken from the shelf, and upon being opened revealed a small box set into the center. With a careful hand, Renault slid a tiny switch along a track, then opened the box, trap now disabled. Inside lay one of the few belongings that meant something to him, a gold ring handed to him by his own father on his deathbed. It had been the man's wedding ring; not having a daughter, he'd trusted his son to take care of it. Renault looked at the ring for a moment, memories flooding over him, and closed his hand over it. His face looked happier than it ever had. He knew the perfect person to give this to... someone who might well need it very soon.
Locking his room once again, Renault headed for the stairs to find this person, the one who mattered more to him than nearly anyone else. It took him only a few moments to reach the bottom; his step was quick and cheery. The echo of voices down the hall told him in which direction the few people left in the castle were, and he headed in that direction. Stepping into the light that shone down into the training courtyard, his eyes immediately lit upon the person he was searching for; Amelia, his daughter. She was speaking with Isadora, a good friend as well. And, by coincidence, she was speaking of a ring as well. A secret smile upon his face, Renault settled back against a nearby pillar to wait, ring still enclosed in his curled fingers. There was no rush; and he wanted to know for sure how Amelia felt beforehand.

"Oh, I was just wondering aimlessly." Isadora answered. "It's my day off today. And since there was nothing else besides the preparation for the next event and wedding, I thought I might take a scroll."
She then noticed Amelia was not paying attention to a word she said. In fact, she wasn't even looking at her, but looked........ lower. A flush came across her face.
Why is she looking at my chest? Isadora thought panicky. Usually, Amelia was not the type of woman who be jealous of appearance, especially vanity. Hoping that Amelia was not going to ask about her chest, Isadora looked down to see what she was looking.
Laying on top of her breastplate was her engagement ring. She then heard the Knight muttered ring. Realized that she had forgotten to tuck in her ring, Isadora placed her hand over the ring.
"Oh, this ring? Why, it's nothing value." Isadora lied. However, instead of tucking away underneath her armor, her hand was still holding onto the ring as if it was her life essence. A strip of pain touched her heart when she repeatedly thought what she had said. She didn't know why she said that, but she had a feeling of what could cause it. Could it be that she doesn't want to be abandon and lonely again?

Amelia nodded once, thinking to Tibarn and Ayra. Finally getting married, and Amelia couldn't help but approve. A single look could tell anyone they cared strongly for each other, especially if you considered their, well, daughter. Amelia was happy for them. How could she not be? She felt the jealousy crackle a little, though, as she continued to look at Isadora's ring curiously.
She paused as Isadora looked up, and followed her eyes. "Oh, this ring? Why, it's nothing of value." Amelia gave her a curious look, clearly suspecting otherwise. A ring like that didn't look like anything a person could own as 'nothing of value,' but at the faint pained expression on her face, Amelia bit her tongue.
Some wounds were best left untouched.
"If you say so," she told her, voice quiet. Amelia rubbed her hands together, a distant look crossing her eyes for a moment. She caught herself before getting lost in thought, though, and picked her training weapon back up. "Things in Eyris are calming down well, right?"

Lance raised his head, seeing as the pair had started fighting with the men. Lance couldn't really understand what was going on. What had happened in this city before? Lance stood up again, scratching his head. Somehow, I have a bad feeling about this...
Some of the men were getting second thoughts about attacking now, seeing as one was mutilated by the large lizard, and another had his gut cut open. The lizard I can understand, but to think a girl that small can swing a broadsword that easily...
However, it seemed like a pair of men coming up from behind Lance had gotten an idea, and was now rushing at him with weapons drawn. "A' leas' you'll be eas' pickin'!" one of them yelled as they raised their sword and axe to strike at Lance.
"Geez...I'm not even really part of this! What's the point..." Lance grumbled, before he slided his legs in opposite directions and sat down in a split, evading both slashes completely. As the men readied to strike again, Lance took out a Fire Coin and grabbed a hold of one of the men's waists with one hand. From his sitting position, he then rose up around under the rather burly man's arm as he grabbed the man's collar with Lance's other hand. Slapping the Fire Coin onto the man's back, he then launched himself off the man with a kick, using the man's back as a springboard, sending the man onto the ground face-first. As the men confusedly looked at eachother, Lance raised his arm with his index finger pointing upwards.
"Let's have a blast, shall we, hm?" he smiled, and then snapped with his fingers. The coin he slapped onto the man's back exploded into a ball of fire, burning the burly one's back, and sending the other flying into the wall, making him lose concsiousness. Lance approached the burly one, taking a look at the wound he had made. Then he squatted down, patting the man on the head. "Oh, don't worry. A burn wound like that usually isn't fatal. Though it might make you reconsider attacking others again." I still got it, it seems!

Sue and Leena galloped on the horses they steered, hoping that whomever was with them was following. She too, wondered where the paralyzing arrows were coming from. It didn't really matter, as they were an ally, but she did want to thank them.
Leena looked over at Leon with great concern, but she didn't say anything. Words wouldn't ease his pain, and she knew it.
"Thank Father Sky we're almost out of this district." Sue said to the whole group.
Of course, they didn't know they were fast approaching another battle, involving Ganon, Blossom, Lance, and some ruffians. And Arashe was somewhere up the road too... but Sue and the others had no clues of that.

Isadora bit the inside of her month as she rephrased the words of what Amelia said. She wanted to believe that it was calming down. However, after seeing a red shooting star, she wasn't sure. She knew that the red shooting star was a bad omen when she was in Elibe. However, she was not sure about the superstitions in this world. Every superstitions is different from the other.
Not wanted to worry Amelia about the superstitions, the paladin answered. "To be honest, I don't know. After receiving many battles and attacks that happened around the holiday events, I pray to St. Elimine that all would be well in Eyris. In fact, I hope there won't be another battle for the upcoming event."
She then let out a small smile as she thought of a golden moment that would shine out of the darkest. "But in the meantime, let's enjoy this while we can. After all, Tibarn and Ayra want to have their wedding soon before the upcoming event comes. So it might be a perfect opportunity to give Ayra a bachelorette party."
Absently minded that she was still hanging onto the ring, Isadora noticed that Amelia was holding her training weapon. "Amelia, what are you doing in the training? Today is such a wonderful day. Why aren't you spending your time with Rhys and the others?"
