Kansou leaned against a counter.
"Why did you even waste your time here before?"
Kansou spoke to Kaimen, but after a few moments she looked at Iri, posing the same question for her.

"Well before let's say I was a...problematic person."
He adjusted his helmet when he said that.
"I also had the privileged of learning all those Earth Techniques you hate so much. Right, here. BUWAHAHA!"
He slapped her on the butt and left the room.

"Hey you dum-"
Kansou tried to roll over the counter but was too late. Once Kaimen was gone, she fell onto the floor on the other side. Items crashed to announce her fate.

"Ah, I see. Simple as that, eh?" Iri puts her hands behind her head and stares up at the ceiling, contemplating.
After watching the interaction between Kai and Kansou, Iri rounds the table to look at the woman. "You okay?"

"Ooooooh."
Kansou had found another noodle package. At Iri's appearance she hefted herself with one elbow over the counter top. She held a package in mouth.
"Whhwahtfp?"

Kaimen began wandering aimlessly around on the 1st floor.
"Now to see if those showers are working.."
He said to himself.

Iri resists the urge to slap her own forehead. Why can she never get someone to sit still long enough to give her what she needs?
"So, Kansou, right? Mind telling me something? I'm grateful for what Kaimen's done for the GNA, but how is it that he's suddenly in power? Metaphorically speaking, I've been living under a rock until he made the old Kaze dojo go boom, so I'm pretty clueless. Anything you can fill me in on?"

Kansou caught the bag after she released it from her mouth. She looked frankly at Iri.
"Kaimen defeated Neko..."
She replied as if this was all the information one needed to know.

Laconic, isn't she?
Not that Iri needs much information. She doesn't know what started the fight, but guesses Kaimen challenged Neko. And after winning the fight, Kaimen destroyed and then restored the Academy. So, that makes Kaimen a good guy. Apparently he had an agenda when he started the whole thing, and it's turning out to be a good one. But what about Neko? That part will just have to wait for later.
Iri gives Kansou a grateful nod. "Alrighty then. I appreciate it. And enjoy your noodles, ma'am." She turns to head out of the kitchen. "I'm gonna go find a way to make myself useful."
The woman thinks about why she's at the dojo to begin with as she makes her way out.
So, who should I tell about that? Or should I keep that to myself for now? I mean, I don't know if it's anything significant yet. Then again, things like that don't happen for no reason.
Iri's expression becomes a little troubled as she walks outside.

Kansou lazily waved after Iri, strolling to her room to finish her meal.

Syn trotted along the path leading to the dojo with a repaired umbrella in hand. As she neared the doors she noticed Iri, along with a few others. She attempted to hide behind a tree, hoping Iri would eventually make her way over to it.

Syn's light blue hair is hard to miss. Though this one's been causing her trouble, Iri can't help but smile at the girl. She walks over to her rather inadequate hiding spot and crouches down in front of Syn. One hand reaches out to ruffle the girl's hair and Iri's smile turns to a grin.
"Hey, sweets, good to see you again. Looks like you got your umbrella fixed. Even a mean ol' 'Aphro' can't take that from you, eh?"

"Nuh-uh!"
She grins and runs up to Iri, wrapping her arms around her neck. When she let go, she stepped back and looked around before whispering so noone might overhear.
"Jii-Sama said it's okay if I come over here, so I thought I'd look around and see where I could find you, since the big windmill wasn't your house."

"Alright then. As long as Jii-sama doesn't think I've kidnapped his pretty little girl!" Iri straightens up and her face takes on a slightly serious look. "Just remember, though, this place is a school for people who want to teach or learn about fighting. You have to be careful around here. It's not for little girls. When you come, make sure to find me and stay with me, 'kay? I just don't want you to get in trouble or get hurt, sweets."
It's true, Iri doesn't want Syn to get hurt. But the warning should also keep the girl from wandering into places in which she might cause trouble. The girl is precious in Iri's eyes, like all children, but she still can't place what's going on with her. Telling her to stay away wouldn't do, either. That would just be ignoring the issue. Instead, she'll let her hang around so she can study the girl. Until the problem is resolved, she at least has good company.
Iri smiles again and looks in the direction of the dojo. She hefts her naginata and balances the weapon over her shoulders, keeping it in place with one hand. "Well, what do you feel like doing, hmm?"

Syn nods as Iri makes her ultimatum, then leans her forehead against the tree to think.
"I... I dunno. I'm kinda tired from walking here. What do you normally do here? Do you teach anybody?"
