the air still has a bite of ozone.... but the sea is no longer like glass... large waves pound at ye... making it hard to take flight.... once up the warm pungent air dries ye almost instantly... at first ye almost feel a growing panic... but a void mage never panics (right?)... emotinless they work things out methodically.... ye strayed a bit going down but the ship is still in sight...

at least the ship is as it should be, everything in austin's cabin is exactly where it belongs... the ship seems to be in fine shape....

*Climbs into his bed and begins to snore, causing grass to sprout on deck...with a yellow brick road holding up dancing silver slippers...while Pink elephants start singing ring around the rosy...the ocean becomes as smooth as glass...Ma'ar appears on deck, ready to do battle....and Pink rose petals start flying everywhere as Kero's master finds himself shrunk to the size of an earthworm and inserted on Lyssan's fur*

lyssan sits on a cloud and watches over the ship, making certain it is safe...
oh, hi jor... she says easing him out of her hair and placing him on the cloud next to her...
i didn't do this... it's yer mage.... he's dreaming again and seems to have forgotten his shell....
she watches austin expand in size and laughs... well, at least he's large enough now to survive most attacks... i was wondering how he was going to approach that... nice... he's waist deep... wonder what he's up to.... well he's ok for now... unless that dang shark shows it's face....
which one is that... asks the snake as he slowly expands in size...
lyssan rolls her eyes... austin's of course... if he came with the ship... we've got problems... he'll attract all sorts of attention... and enjoy the fact that he does... plus he wasn't shielded like the ship's inhabitants were... i wasn't thinking about him when i brought it all through... btw... how did kero manage to reach you even here... then she looks at him and laughs... oh.. yea... no wonder ye were so small... ye hadn't grown enough yet to cause anyone trouble....

His dreams can affect me, no matter where I am...the Apprentice/master bond, remember. It's much stronger with Voidmages...I can't escape his dreams...Is that Voldemort down there? Or some other Darkmage.

actually he kind of wore himself out when first he arrived... had a bad reaction to the vortex i'm afraid... at least he didn't go catatonic on me... just went a bit nuts... he seems fine now though... i'm more worried about that darn pirate... he's up to something, no doubt about it....

I'd stop him...but I'm a wormling now...Ye're the Kitsune queen, Ina...You get him to stop...and wake my apprentice while you're at it...I don't want to have to grow up again. After having to live with you and eat your cooking...ugh. I'm glad Kero's a chef.
Or worse...what If I had to go back to mom and dad...I'd die. I distinctly remember our time with them...you always tying me in knots...and stealing my chicken. You were a meanie when we were little.
